Beautiful Colorado: Driving Over Wilkerson Pass
We left Green Mountain Falls and took Highway 24 over Wilkerson Pass which took us down into a beautiful valley surrounded by amazing Rocky Mountain peaks.

Ride along with us to Wilkerson Pass in Park County, Colorado. It is one of our favorite places to take a sightseeing drive. Just about 35 minutes away from the Mountainscape Lodge down 24 Highway in between Woodland Park and Buena Vista.

Starcraft ArOne 15rb, Part 3 ~ Camping Wilkerson and Monarch Pass
Chase some pavement with us as we road trip over some beautiful mountain passes in southern Colorado. Wilkerson Pass and Monarch Pass both have beautiful views from the top of winding steep grade roads. We free camped off FS road 225 halfway up Monarch Pass.
Tornado Wilkerson Pass, South Park, Colorado
A defined funnel cloud formed south west of Wilkerson pass on Tuesday, August 18th, 2009. This funnel rotation increased and spinning ground level debris and vortices were visible. The mountain tornado elevation was approximately 8,200 to 8,500 feet above sea level, and the temperature was around 58f degrees. Another larger funnel cloud formed around twenty minutes later in the same storm north east of Wilkerson Pass and tracked north eastward toward the mountain Town of Lake George which sustained damage.
A Drive Across Colorado on US 24! Real-time from Victor, over Wilkerson Pass, to Buena Vista
By popular demand, I'm going back into the Take My Trip archives and re-editing some of my previous drives, to present them in real-time. Here's the drive across Colorado, westbound, that I made back in September, 2014, just as the fall colors were showing up at higher elevations. The drive begins in Victor, Colorado, and takes you up Colorado 67 through Cripple Creek to Divide, and then onto US 24 for the drive west. It goes over Wilkerson Pass and then on to Buena Vista, and ends at the turnoff to Colorado 82, at Twin Lakes.
Because this is an older video, it was only shot at 720p, and the quality isn't as great as my more modern cameras. But, it's still a relaxing, beautiful drive!

Beautiful day for filming the State Forest Range with Rabbit Ears Range and the Zirkels in the distance. Southeast to Cameron pass, over the summit, and back Northwest again. A rare calm day this winter in this awesome area.
REDWOODS IN COLORADO? | Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument Colorado | National Parks
Today, we visited Florida any Fossil Beds in Colorado - not too far from Pike National Forest.
The Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is part of the National Park Service in Colorado, and unfortunately it's not a dog friendly site. So at the end, we took turns exploring the trails, while the other person stayed back in the van with Kana.
We also purchased a National Parks Pass, which can pay for itself in just a few visits.
