Egypt: The WORST Country I Ever Visited – My WARNING to Future Travelers
When I visited Egypt, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I was very excited to witness ancient Egypt, I've always been fascinated by the pyramids and their construction. From exploring the top ten sites, from the pyramids of Giza, the Giant Sphinx, Temple of Luxor, Temple of Karnak, avenue of Sphinxes, to the valley of kings and queens we explored it all in this travel vlog. From dangerous cities to sketchy neighborhoods, I experienced it all. In this video, I share my journey and the lessons I learned along the way. I was sad to see travelers exploited from the second they arrived in the airport. Constant solicitation and scammers take away from once a magical place. I don't even know how to begin to describe the animal cruelty I witnessed. From Cairo to Luxor there wasn't much of a difference, but I can definitely recommend Luxor over Cairo. This is my warning to all future travelers: tread lightly, and be prepared for anything!

Avoid These SCAMS When Traveling to Stockholm, Sweden
Stockholm is the 12th safest city in the world, but that doesn't mean that there aren't things to watch out for. In this video I tell you about scams to avoid when you're visiting the capital of Sweden!
You're not going to find a huge list of scams to watch out for, but that also means that you might be lulled into thinking that everything is safe in Stockholm. You always have to use common sense, keep an eye out for things that look out of place, and keep an eye on your belongings.
In this video I cover the following topics, among others:
- Taxi scams that unfortunately are completely legal in Sweden
- ATM credit card sniffing
- Pickpocketing and what to look out for in bars in general
- Illegal games on the street corners of Old Town (Gamla stan)
- Overpriced shops and restaurants
- The picture taking scam
- Scams within the housing market in Stockholm
I also discuss a bit of a sensitive topic, when it comes to the beggars that have become quite prevalent in Sweden lately.
But I also take some time to go through things that are sometimes listed as scams online, that absolutely should not be classified as scams. These include, for example, the Vasa musem, the Arlanda Express train and Gröna lund, a boardwalk amusement park.

5 Things American Tourists Shouldn't Wear in Europe

Heading to Europe & Not Sure What to Pack? Here are a few things that my fellow US travelers may want to avoid packing if they are traveling to Europe.
1. Baseball Caps: Europeans in general do not wear baseball caps, especially backwards. You would be better served to wear a more traditional hat. You will see an occasional NY Yankee hat, but why not buy the fancy hat you always wanted instead?
2. Athletic Wear: Europeans tend to wear athletic wear to do sports, not to wear around town. There is a trend of more athleisurewear in Europe, but it is not to the extent that there is in US.
3. Khakis: the omnipresent US male pant choice is not something you will see too often in Europe. Go for colored pants or jeans. If you want khaki like pants wear Chinos instead of Dockers. The pants you will see are a thinner cut or skinnier fit than in the US.
4. Oversized US University Sweatshirts.
5. Sport Shoes or High Heals: US sport shoes and white socks are not quite as popular in Europe as they are in the US. You may be better off with Urban Street shoes like Vans instead. Also, women should be careful with high heels as with all the cobblestone it is easy to hurt your ankles.

How Much Money I Spent in Iceland as a Solo Traveler
Here's why I spent so much in Iceland
Woah!!! Aren't you usually chasing deals? Wtf happened? ????
Thought I'd save you the trouble of making that comment. ???? The answer is usually a resounding YES, but on my Iceland trip - not so much! ????????♀️ Here's why ????
1) It was a gift to myself ????
This was the FIRST trip I took solo internationally, and it was right after leaving my 9-5 to pursue my dream of being a full-time content creator! I decided from the get-go that if I was going to do something *so* out of my ordinary, I was going to go all out!
2) I paid my trip over time ⏰
It's actually unheard of for me to book a trip 8 months in advance, but this one was! ???????? The nice thing about having so much time is paying little amounts of $$$ booking things over a span of months, instead of all at once. It added up, but it was less painful because I paid for the trip over time - payment plan style. ????????
3) Iceland is expensive ????
Part of it is actually unavoidable! Iceland is one of the top 10 most expensive countries in the world. ???? It isn't a budget traveler's destination by nature (although with some finessing, it could be). I did, however, find a $400 flight deal & paid with points!
4) I avoided hostels
The cheapest way to stay here is in a hostel (followed by camping)! ???? Personally, I wanted my own space not knowing how a solo int'l trip would feel. Since the single rooms were all sold out in hostels, I booked hotels. If I went with someone, that cost would be split in 1/2! ???? Which brings me to my next point...
5) I went alone ????
Solo travel doesn't have to be expensive❗️But in Iceland, it can be. I couldn't have imagined visiting without a car rental (which means gasoline $$ too). ⛽️ I paid over $1,000+ for my hotels and airbnbs! ???? I checked other solo traveler's cost breakdowns & some were even higher. ????
6) I sat down for meals ????
Sky's the limit when it comes to restaurant prices. ???? Brekky could be between $20-30, lunch $20-35, & dinner $35-50. Two sit down meals in one day could easily be $90-100. Some days I just had gas station food!
Transparency is ???? here, & honestly I'd do it again.
The Great Debate: Cash Back Credit Cards Vs Travel Credit Cards
Can you use a cash back credit card to book a hotel? Sure you can!
What would happen if I decided to concentrate all my credit card rewards on cash back, and then apply that cash back to hotel stays? Here we have a bizarre merger between hotel credit cards and cash back credit cards. Let me know if you like it!

Spain is a complex country! It’s also a pretty easy going one. But there are certain things that you just don’t want to get wrong. And here they are!
11. Don’t go OTT on please and thank you.
In Spanish we just don’t use the words as much. We are more likely to work ‘please’ and ’thank you’ into the tone of how we speak, or by tweaking the words (such as adding “ito” to the end of a word).
10. Don’t put bread on your plate.
In Spain, you always leave your bread beside your plate on the table. It sites beside your cutlery, because it kind of is a piece of cutlery.
9. Don’t eat with your hand under the table.
I grew up with no elbows on the table. But here in Spain we also have the rule that you should have your hands above the table at all times. Because you might have a knife??
8. Don’t offer guests a beer at 5pm
Because we eat lunch and dinner later, beer o’clock is usually about 8pm… not 5pm.
7. Don’t help with the dishes after parties.
It’s just not something that’s done here. At the end of a party or dinner party, you might help tidy up slightly, but you don’t help do the dishes.
6. Don’t be a ‘pesado’ in social situations.
Chill out! Don’t ask people what their job is straight away when you meet them in a social setting and don’t expect people to cut to the chase when telling a story - we take our time here!
5. Don’t misinterpret loud conversations.
When Yoly speaks with her mother on the phone, it can get heated. But they’re not arguing - it’s just that conversations here often sound more intense.
4. Don’t generalise about Spain.
This is a highly regional country. So don’t assume that every region of Spain has the same language, customs or food.
3. Don’t call Catalan a dialect of Spanish.
Catalan is its own language - and don’t get that wrong (especially when speaking to a Catalan)
2. Don’t used ‘usted’ willy nilly.
Here in Spain we’re pretty informal and so don’t use “usted” unless we’re speaking with older people or in very formal situations.
1. Don’t mention the civil war casually.
The Spanish civil war and the dictatorship is a really complex topic, and still an open wound in Spain. So wait until you know someone pretty well before diving into the topic.
