In this video, we highlight the 10 best things to do in Milos Greece. Milos is volcanic Greek island in the Aegean Sea, just north of the Sea of Crete. It has some of the most beautiful beaches and cute little towns.
These are the 10 best things to do in Milos:
10. The 10th best thing to do in Milos, Greece is visit Paliochori Beach. Located about 20 minutes from the city center of Adamas, it’s easily accessible by any vehicle. This beach is really colorful with red, yellow, white, and brown rocks surrounding it.
9. Papafragas is a must-see when visiting Milos, Greece. It is one of the most unusual rock formations you will see in your life and the water color is a stunning bright green. There are also many caves in and around the water to explore.
8. At number 8, we recommend visiting the small fishing town of Klima. Here, you can walk around the bay and take in the sights of the colorful houses lining the shore.
7. Sarakiniko beach is a natural wonder. It is made up of greyish-white volcanic rock that’s been carved into strange shapes by the wind and waves.
6. Coming in at number 6, we have the traditional small town of Trypiti. This little village is located just a few minutes from the town of Plaka and has many small streets with tons of character. The view over the ocean is stunning and they have some of the tastiest food on the entire island.
5. Firiplaka Beach blew us away with its colorful waters and jagged rocks. Nestled in a perfect half-moon cove, the beach is exactly what you imagine when dreaming of visiting a classic Greek beach.
4. The 4th best thing to do in Milos, Greece is to visit the ancient theatre. It is situated between the towns of Trypiti and Klima and is incredibly well preserved. Visitors are allowed to sit on the steps, walk around, and even explore the stage floor.
3. Firopotamos is a true hidden gem in Milos, Greece. Located below the town of Plaka, it is less touristy than many of the other popular beaches on the island. Along the beach, you will find a few fishermen houses, rentals, a beautiful church, and even ancient ruins.
2. Plaka is one of the best places to visit in Milos. The cobblestone paths, tight alleys, and colorful blue and white buildings make it one of the coziest towns we’ve ever visited throughout our travels.

Why Milos island is a MUST visit in Greece
Milos is a small volcanic island in the Cyclades archipelago and one of the most beautiful islands that I have seen.
Discover white-washed villages and fishing ports, and can catch some of the most amazing views in the Mediterranean.
With over 40 exotic beaches and year-round sunshine, you will definitely be coming home with a tan.
The island has an amazing vibe, plenty of activities to fill your time with, splendid beaches, breath-taking views, and, of course, lots of amazing restaurants with delicious greek food.
Right now, while writing this text, my mouth is watering remembering the delicious food that I ate in Milos.
We have been staying at an amazing place - Artemis Deluxe Rooms - a quite new hotel located at 1 minute walk from the Paliochori Beach.
Such a gorgeous place - clean, quiet, amazing staff, crazy, delicious food (I ate the most amazing desert that I ate in my life).
The view from our terrace in the morning was breath-taking. Not to mention the vibe of this place. A-MA-ZING!
When it comes to places that we visited: Sarakiniko Beach is a must see when in Milos, I would say.
Sarakiniko Beach Milos: This beach is one of the most beautiful beaches of Milos and surely the most particular one.
It is located along the coastal road east of Adamas, north-east of Milos. Definitely I would recommend renting a car if you want to visit it.
It is the most photographed spot of the island and is also considered as one of the most beautiful Greek beaches.
Note that you can not find shade over-there, so take a cap with you, or even an umbrella, you will divinely need it.
This is a popular spot for cliff jumping – if you dare. :)
Klima Village is a small, cute, multi-coloured fisherman’s village, with breath-taking views. We went there in may, so the place was so quiet, so enjoyable, I felt in love with it in a moment.
The multi-coloured, traditional syrmatas, or fishermen’s houses, are very photogenic – come at golden hour to catch a magnificent sunset over the bay, which complements the vibrant hues of the paintwork.
Please note that, if you come by bus, the village is at the bottom of a winding road starting from the village of Trypiti; it’s a 30-minute trek down, and even longer to walk back up.
Paliochori Beach - this beach was super close to our staying - Artemis Deluxe Rooms.
The beach is located on the South side of the island and can be accessed by local bus and hire vehicle.
Paliochori Beach is a long strip of clean golden sand, with a strip of small pebbles at the shoreline, that is sheltered from the wind by the most picturesque high cliffs.
It was the spectacular colours of these cliffs that made me spend a lot of time here, but also the water is cool and refreshing. Water is cristal clear, so bring your snorkels and watch the bubbles rising up, also there’s quite a few fish around.
The beach has good facilities and with three restaurants close by. The restaurant 'Sirocco' all the way to the right, offers 'Volcanic Food', where they cook in the volcanic hot sand.
If you fancy something a little more adventurous you can hire Jet skis, paddle boards and canoes on the beach.
Overall, if you want picture postcard scenery with a good beach and decent facilities, it is well worth the trip to one of the best beaches on Milos.
The port of Milos, called Adamas or Adamantas, is located on the north side of the island, on the edge of a large bay.
Lots of restaurants nearby and definitely worths a walk around the plenty of catamarans and cruise ships to delight your eyes.
