Why Japanese Don't Like Foreigners

10 Reasons Why Japanese Don't Like Foreigners. Thanks to Squarespace, get 10% Off: Japan tourists or foreigners coming to Japan may not understand Japanese culture because of this some Japanese dislike foreigners for not understanding Japanese manner and etiquette. As a generalization, Japanese follow the rules and get frustrated when people don't follow those rules, but often time they generally avoid confrontation when they have these sort of issues. Based on my experience, this is why Japanese don't like foreigners and tourists and what they are really thinking when foreigners break the rules. I can't stress enough that these are generalizations and not everyone is like this as everyone is unique, but for the purpose of this video and to show what Japanese may be getting pissed off about, I speak in general terms. These are my Japan tips for tourists to help them understand Japanese manners so they don't make those tourist mistakes in Japan or in that they may be unknowingly viewed as misbehaving tourists in Japan. Although some Japanese hate foreigners for doing things in the video, some other Japanese may be okay with the behavior but again I am speaking in general terms. In general, I don't think foreigners want to be rude tourists in Japan, but because they don't understand Japanese rules or Japanese manner they make the classical foreigner mistakes in Japan. These are must-know Japan tips to and a Japan guide when visiting Japan.

Why Japanese Don't Like Foreigners Living in Japan

Get 10% off (save up to $44!) your own authentic Japanese snack box from Bokksu using my link: and code PAOLO10

10 Reasons Why Japanese Don't Like Foreigners Living in Japan. It’s probably fair to say that visiting Japan as a tourist compared to living and working in Japan is a very different experience. It’s no longer all about visiting cool sites and eating awesome food, Foreign residents quickly become part of the daily grind with every other Japanese person living here. And what a lot of foreigners don’t realize is there are quite a lot of unwritten rules when living in Japan in order to help keep it a pleasant society, until maybe it’s too late. The idea behind this video is to share some interesting unwritten rules I’ve personally come across to help anyone planning on living in Japan to avoid being thought of as a rude foreigner.

As always, these are general rules in Japan, nothing is absolute in this world, everyone is different and reactions from Japanese will vary on how sensitive they are to these rules. Some Japanese dislike this behavior quite a bit while some Japanese maybe okay with it. I am speaking in general terms. The point of this video is to help foreigners, who plan to live in Japan or maybe recently moved to Japan, understand what the regular Japanese culture and Japanese customs are so that they don't come off rude without knowing it. I hope this helps as a Japan guide. As always, let me know how it compares to your culture.

Why Japanese Hate Working with Foreigners

Get 10% off with my link on Squarespace -

This is why Japanese don’t like working with Foreigners. Let me explain, many foreigners misunderstand Japanese work culture and Japanese business culture. Even some that have experienced it firsthand, still don’t get it. There’s more to it, than just saying Japan is super strict or Japanese work long hours. There’s a lot of Japanese unwritten and hidden cultural rules that form the foundation of Japanese work culture and expectations. Many foreigners who don’t understand this, end up hating their job in Japan or just as bad, their coworkers hate working with them. So in this video, I'm gonna share with you what Japanese really think you shouldn’t be doing at work and why they think this, as they'll probably never tell it to your face. See, all these things are common sense in Japan, taught to them as kids, basic cultural manners, etiquette and work ethic. And if they were to tell you, it would just be rude. That said, these points are based on typical Japanese work environments, not all Japanese people and companies are like this. Some are more westernized while others, believe it not, are even more strict. If you’re planning to work in Japan though, it’s a good start to not expect the same work culture as your home country. I hope this videos help people understand what they may expect if they plan on working in Japan.

Why Japanese Wives Hate Foreign Husbands

Get 10% off with my link on Squarespace -

These are examples of why a Japanese Wife may start hating their foreign husband. As many of you know, I’ve been married to my Japanese wife Maiko, for over 3.5 years now in Japan. During this time I’ve learned first hand quite a bit about what Japanese women culturally expect when living with a Foreign Husband, like me from the United States, so I wanted to share some hopefully useful points. And to be fair, today’s examples of cultural issues are not just from Maiko and I, some points I learned from my married foreign male friends with Japanese wives or my Japanese wife friends with their foreign husbands over many years living in Japan. This is a list of cultural relationship issues, that without compromise, have created many fights, ongoing arguments, resentment, and even hate leading some married couples into divorce. Like many lists like this though, these are generalizations and not every single Japanese woman or foreign man is like this but if you are planning to get married here in Japan these are some things to be aware of so you don’t end up hating your partner. Also, this list can be applied if you’re foreign female with a Japanese husband. Finally, if you’re already married in Japan, let me know how these ones sit with you and if there are any things that I missed.

Things Okay in Japan but Illegal Around the World

Use my code PAOLO15 at to get $15 off your first Bokksu Japanese snack box!

Shocking Laws okay in Japan, but illegal around the world. So I’ve made videos before on things you can’t do in Japan because of laws or unknown laws that could get you arrested, but in this video I wanted to switch things up a little and share with you some things that are legal in Japan but may be illegal in other parts of the world. Many think that Japan is a very strict country, but when you hear some of these Japanese laws you may be scratching your head. And to be clear from the start, I don’t recommend doing any of these things. I’m not providing legal advice and this is for entertainment only.

I heard Japanese people hate foreigners (HOW THEY TREAT YOU IN JAPAN) ????????

In this video, we travelled from Osaka to Tokyo. Before getting on the train in Osaka, we explored Nanba and Dotonbori area where we stuffed ourselves with some delicious sushi. We then hopped on Japan's fastest shinkansen (bullet train). We have heard that Japanese people don't like foreigners. But we met the friendliest Japanese man on the train, who shared his snacks as we cheered for beers together. He told us to try his favorite Japanese food, unagi. Unagi is grilled eel, and we did try it as soon as we arrived in Tokyo.
Check out our vlog!

We travelled from Osaka to Tokyo on Japan's fastest bullet train, the Nozomi Shinkansen.
It travels 300km/hr, and we reached Tokyo within 2.5hr over a distance of 500km.
This shinkansen is covered by the JR pass.

Why Japan Arrests Foreigners

Understanding Japanese laws to avoid foreigner tourist arrests. Thanks to Squarespace, get 10% Off:
The Japanese justice system and Japanese laws are stricter than many countries and sometimes lead to foreigner arrests in Japan simply because foreigners are unaware of Japan laws and Japan justice system. The Japanese judicial system has 99% conviction rate in Japan so foreigners should be mindful and aware how strict Japan laws and rules are. Japanese Police arrests tourist in Japan or Japan Police arrest foreigners in Japan when they are under suspicion of a crime. Suspects will be brought into police custody to be interrogated for 3 days and if the Japanese police are still not satisfied, the police can request for additional detainment for up to 23 days total, without the suspect being officially charged with a crime in Japan. In this video, I interview a Japanese Trial Lawyer, Yugo Ishibashi, to help me understand the Japanese justice system as well as to share with foreigners and tourists how Japanese law works in Japan and maybe gain some insight on what options a foreigner has if arrested in Japan. Japanese police interrogation is quite stressful and Yugo mentions that sometimes suspects plead guilty even though they didn't commit the crime due to the pressure of the Japanese police interrogation. If suspects don't plead guilty to the crime, it may be possible to be detained for more than a year until the suspect confess to a crime. This is sometimes referred to as Hostage Justice in Japan. Convicted persons will end up in Japanese Jail and Japanese prison. This video should help educate tourist visiting Japan and foreigners living in Japan to help ensure that they are aware of how strict Japanese laws are so that they are careful to not violate the laws when they are in Japan. But keep in mind that these laws are one of the reasons why Japan is so safe compared to many other countries. This video is not to deter foreigners or tourists from visiting Japan, but they should just be aware of Japanese laws and the risks when breaking laws in Japan like graffiti in japan or fighting in japan.

Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer. I am not providing legal advice. If you need legal advice, please consult a real lawyer.

Why You Should NOT Move to Japan

- Get 10% off with my link on Squarespace.

Many people tell me that they want to move to Japan, which I completely understand because I personally love it here. I love the food, the culture and how safe it is, relatively speaking. Obviously not everything is perfect in Japan, it’s a small island with a lot people living close together especially in the cities, so there has to be some compromises. I think some foreigners moving here, don’t come here with that compromise mindset and are rudely surprised when things are not as they thought. I wanted to make this video and share issues that some foreigners complain about when living in Japan. So you have a little more information before you decide to move your entire life to Japan to later realize that Japan isn’t for you. Working in Japan and living in Japan takes a special person who can compromise and understand that life in Japan is not going be like life back at home. The people who can appreciate and understand the differences generally do well living in Japan.

What Japanese elderly people think about Japan Travel Ban / They Don’t like foreigners?

#japantravelban #日本留学の扉を開く #educationisnotourism
Next video is this interview answers ,What elderly japanese think about asian,so please wacht it.We are racist?

This video is very different from last my interview video for young japanese people about Japan travel Ban.

????????Questions ????????
when can tourist come japan?
What do you think about foreign students and workers coming to Japan now?
Should Japan forbid entry if the six covid waves come?
What do you think about the fact that Japanese can go abroad and foreigners can't come?
and so on

*why my camera is hidden.
Not to pressure,i wanted to know honest opinion, for sure i asked if i can take a video.

i know this video may hurt some people who want to come Japan. So sorry.
so I explain how to edit it
I didn’t use their answer to my interview when they just are racist ,and when they can not explain bythemself why they don’t like foreigners to enter japan without emotions.
I absolutely disagree with 1st woman'opinion but she has own experience to say that
and 2th woman is example just explain with her emotions 3th is example that some people is thinking on based on info about covid.
4th man : i want you to know some elderly people think this problem based on rationally, he read newspaper
5th man : 40% elder man is like him, welcome to japan , but they have reasons that japanse get benefits
6th: example elder people don’t have idea about this problem .they tend to welcome as far as my interview.

This Interview video show why Japanese governments don’t allow international students and workers to enter Japan now. And why they don’t announce any plan when to open border before this election.

If you subscribe this channel , i am so glad !!????

Secret Tourist Spot Japanese DON’T want Foreigners to know about

The hidden secret Tokyo Day Trip to a Japanese Winery in Katsunuma Yamanashi is something that SOME Japanese don't want Foreign Travelers to know about. Not ALL Japanese feel this way as you can see from the video, Maruki Winery was very welcoming. Japan Winery Tours & Japanese Wine Tasting are seldom offered as tours to foreign travelers and are a hidden tourist spot because SOME Japanese Wine owners feel that they are ill-equipped to provide what they consider hospitality to foreign travelers. This is known in Japanese as Omotonashi. It's NOT that Japanese dislike foreigners, it is simply that Japanese are not able to provide service at the highest quality because of the language barrier.
Despite this, I want to take you inside a Japanese Winery and Japanese vineyard to show you what it's like inside and show you what this awesome experience is like. If you are looking for a Tokyo day trip or things to do outside of Tokyo, this may be a great opportunity since it is so close by and easy to get to from Shinjuku station.

Omotenashi. In Japan, there is a deep-rooted culture, which comes from sado (tea ceremony), called omotenashi, meaning to wholeheartedly look after guests. The term is a microcosm of the country itself, representing the Japanese mindset of hospitality centering around care rather than expectation.

A Case of Discrimination Against Foreigners in Japan

Japan is a great country, but petty discrimination against foreigners still exists. Even with events like the Olympics taking place, Japan still has some room for improvement in how it deals with its non-Japanese residents.

Why Japanese Avoid working with Foreigners

Discover the Hidden Rules of Japanese Work Culture that foreigners often misunderstand, leading to workplace friction. It's not just about long hours or strictness—there's a deeper layer to Japanese work expectations and culture. I'll reveal what the Japanese really think foreigners shouldn't do at work, based on unwritten cultural norms. Not all companies are the same, some more westernized, others stricter. This video sheds light on what to expect.
