Retire to the Dominican Republic's friendly (and AFFORDABLE!) North Coast

Learn how you can stretch your retirement income further—and enjoy a more comfortable lifestyle—by retiring to the Dominican Republic.

Today, you’re going to learn why the Dominican Republic is a great place to live if you want to stretch your retirement nest egg. And you'll learn the steps you can take right now to figure out if it’s the place for you too.

You’re either already retired or are thinking about retiring. If you’re like a lot of retirees in the US and Canada, you’re wondering what kind of lifestyle you’ll be able to enjoy in your golden years.

The North Coast of the DR is a great place to buy a retirement home, to live either full time or part time.

-The cost of living, combined with the weather, safety and stability, make it pretty much the best place to retire comfortably and affordably.
-The price of real estate, including ocean view property, is still affordable.
-The pensionado visa for retirees is easy to get and gives you a lot of great tax benefits.

If you’re excited by what you’ve learned and are interested in learning more about retiring to the North Coast, follow these steps:

1. Check out our website at There’s a ton of information about buying a dream home and the kind of lifestyle you can enjoy.
2. Talk with one of the team at Dreaming DR. We can answer your questions and help you figure out the best way to make your dream retirement reality.
3. Visit the North Coast and take one of our real estate Tours. You can learn more about the Tour on our website.

Pros and Cons of living in Tropics Filmed in Dominican Republic

In this Documentary, I interview several hardened travelers and Caribbean Expats on why they chose to disconnect themselves from highly regulated countries, in order to seek a much freer and fulfilling life in the tropics.

One of the gusts is the writer Tim Rise (Author of the book The Missing Link) who skillfully cuts to the chase of how we get indoctrinated by Governments with their Matrix system.

Another well know guest from the travel community seen in this video, is Andy Graham from HoboTraveler who enlightens us with the various options of countries that have perfect all-year climates for a potential better lifestyle. Andy has traveled to 107 countries in 19 years and has a wealth of knowledge to share.

If you've been thinking of not only escaping the cold but also the ever-increasing pressures of modern living to design yourself a much simpler life, then you should find this video very informative - Enjoy! Brgds Mr.T

Retire In Puerto Plata Dominican Republic - North Coast Dominican Republic

Starting our survey of the towns on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic, the team checks out the town of Puerto Plata. At the moment Puerto Plata is going through a bit of a revival, with the addition of the nearby Amber Cove Cruise Docks. After only a couple years, Amber Cove already brings in over 250,000 cruise visitors to the Puerto Plata area.

If you prefer a more commercial town, or if you are planning to build a local tourist related business, then Puerto Plata might be the town to consider for your retirement in the Caribbean or for a family move. Each of those 250,000 cruisers come prepared to enjoy the local attractions, purchase trinkets and treasures, take tours, eat in restaurants and have a few drinks in the local bars.

In future segments, we will talk to other expats that have made the move to the North Coast of the Dominican republic and will survey each of the North Coast towns where expats prefer to settle.

Be sure and SUBSCRIBE to our channel so that you never miss the latest tour video.

On our Retire On The North Coast series we will tour Puerto Plata, Sosua, Cabarete, Rio San Juan, Cabrera and Las Terrenas on the Samana Peninsula. All of these communities welcome expats and each offers something totally different.
