- If a person loses their home, they just need to go to the king and he’ll give them a plot of land where they can build a house to live in and plant a garden to eat from.
- Each Bhutanese resident has the right to free medical care. The country’s Ministry of Health has made it their goal to become “A nation with the best health.”
- The Bhutanese people take their traditions and unique culture very seriously, and the king took great measures to protect his people from outside influences.
- Speaking of traditions, Bhutanese people are required to wear traditional clothes in public. This nationwide dress code has existed for over 400 years.
- In 2010, the king enacted a law prohibiting the cultivation, harvest, and sale of tobacco, making Bhutan the first country in the world with a total ban on tobacco. It’s impossible to buy it there, and you can’t smoke in public areas.
- Bhutan is really concerned about ecology and nature. According to a local law, at least 60% of the country’s total area must be covered with woods.
- The most popular ingredient in almost every Bhutanese dish is chilies. The Tourism Council even notes “Bhutanese people would not enjoy a meal that was not spicy.”
- You can only go to Bhutan in groups of 3 or more. All documents and visas are issued by a state-appointed company.
- All property and belongings like their homes, cattle, and land go to the eldest daughter, not son. Men are expected to earn their own fortunes.
- It’s already illegal to import or use any chemical products there whatsoever. Everything they use is cultivated within the country and is all-natural.
- Not every pilot can maneuver between mountaintops and land on a 6,500-foot-long highway right by people’s houses. Add strong winds to the challenge, and you’ll understand why take-offs and landings are only allowed during daylight hours. And there are only 8 pilots in the world that can do this.
- If you visit Bhutan, you may fall in love with the land, but try not to fall for a local or else you’ll get your heart broken. It’s prohibited to marry foreigners.
- In 2008, the Gross National Happiness Committee was formed in Bhutan to take care of the people’s inner peace.
- All the road signs in Bhutan are drawn by hand. Thiumphu, the country’s capital, is the only one in the world that has no traffic lights at all.
- Bhutanese people love to decorate their homes. They draw birds, animals, and different patterns on the walls, making them look like real-life gingerbread houses.

The 10 Happiest Countries To Live In The World - Seen as the World’s Safest Countries

The 2019 World Happiness Report, according to the happiness levels of their immigrants.
Happiness – and the pursuit of it – can mean very different things to different people. This, inevitably, makes it tough to quantify and rank with any real authority.
While happiness is said to come from within, residents in several nations are perceived to experience it more widely than in other countries.
The happiness of citizens does not increase when their country’s overall wealth increases.
This year’s ranking criteria has also seen some changes. It focuses on happiness and the community.
European countries dominate a ranking of nations seen as the happiest in the 2019 Best Countries report.
Here are the 10 happiest countries to live in the world for 2019, according to the United Nations. Many of these countries are seen as the world’s safest countries:

10. Austria. (safest country)
9. Canada.
8. New Zealand. (safest country)
7. Sweden.
6. Switzerland. (safest country)
5. The Netherlands.
4. Iceland. (rank 1 safest country)
3. Norway. (safest country)
2. Denmark. (safest country)
1. Finland. (safest country)
Happiness is everywhere in our homeland. We hope you find it.

Top 10 Poorest Countries in The World 2018
The richest countries have one thing in common, a proper and well established political environment supported by clear legislations, a corrupt-free government, and a strong judicial system. While these factors are only a drop in the ocean regarding what makes a country economically successful, the poorest countries in the world get these factors all wrong.
While the availability of natural resources is the foundation of an economically robust country, utilising the resources well is a whole other aspect. This is not civic education 101, so we will get straight to the point and list the countries yet to realise self-actualisation. Here are the top 10 poorest countries in the world as of 2018.
10. Madagascar – $1477
9. Guinea – $1388
8. Eritrea – $1210
7. Mozambique – $1208
6. Niger – $1069
5. Burundi – $951
4. Liberia – $934
3. Malawi – $819
2. The Democratic Republic of Congo – $753
1. Central African Republic – $636

Why Western Expats Are Moving To Malaysia And Leaving Thailand!
During my time visiting Thailand, I have met a great number of expats who have loved living in Thailand.
Over the last couple of years, I am meeting more and more expats who are leaving Thailand for greener pastures, and many are moving to Malaysia!
Bordering Thailand, Malaysia is better developed, has a more stable economy, a strong and stable government and many opportunities for western expats.
Western expats, in fact, are moving to Malaysia in droves and these are the top reasons why.
1. No Discrimination For Western Expats.
Unlike Thailand, which discriminates against western expats in the types of jobs they can do, the types of property they can buy, the bank loans they can get, work permits, visas, and many more things, Malaysia does not discriminate.
Western expats who are tired of countries like Thailand where discrimination is the norm, are thrilled to be moving to Malaysia, where they can buy the house they want, do the job they want, get an easy visa and work permit and more.
2. Malaysia is Multi-Racial.
Unlike some other countries in the region, Malaysia is a multi-racial, multi-ethnic society and open to everyone.
The three main cultures, Malay, Chinese and Indian create an interesting Malaysian society, yet still leave it open for other cultures to join and thrive.
Living in Malaysia, you’ll experience the main Malay, Chinese and Indian festivals, food, literature, clothing, religion, and culture, along with offerings from the Thai's, British, Americans, Vietnamese, Australians, Dutch, French and more.
3. Affordable Healthcare.
Healthcare in Malaysia is world-class and more affordable than in the United States.
Doctors and hospitals are the same standard, or better, than American doctors and hospitals and care is world-renowned.
In fact, healthcare is so good in Malaysia, it’s one of the top destinations for medical tourism.
Living in Malaysia, you can only imagine how good your healthcare options will be.
4. Education.
Malaysia’s education system is largely based on the British system and, consequently, is better than some other countries in the region such as Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia.
Mandatory subjects include: Malay and English, so any children you have, are likely to grow up fluent in both languages.
Education is inexpensive and, if you prefer private education, this is available also with many international schools that use the British, American and Australian systems.

5. Ease of Language.
Unlike in some other countries in the area, English is spoken by most people in Malaysia.
When an expat moves to Malaysia that fact can immediately make life much easier, as there’s no need to speak the local language to get things done.
Buying a house, a car, setting up utilities, buying furniture and household items, everything is easier, due to being able to deal with things in English.
6. Good Infrastructure.
Malaysia has a world-class infrastructure.
The roads are excellent!
The water supply, sewer systems and power grids are stable and telecommunications, including phones and internet, are phenomenal.
Moving to, or living and working in Malaysia for Western expats is made even easier due to its western-standard infrastructure.
7. Food.
Western expats love Malaysia because the food is wonderful.
Food is also very cheap!
An average meal at many of Malaysia’s restaurants is only 2 to $4, and if you eat at the food courts and markets, it’s even cheaper.
8. Cost of Living.
One of the big reasons many western expats are moving to Malaysia is the cost of living.
In Malaysia, you can live on one quarter the salary of most Western countries and live well, which is why western expats who are retirees love living here.
Apartments are cheap and buying homes is cheaper than in Europe and the US. Healthcare is affordable, eating out is cheaper, and shopping is amazingly cheap.
If you are looking for a country that is developed, yet not going to kill your bank account, then Malaysia is it!
If you are a Western expat looking for a new country to move to, moving to Malaysia may just be the thing for you.

I have been traveling the world in business class and first class for the past 15 years. And today I want to share my strategy for luxury travel with you. Flying business class makes traveling so much more enjoyable and it can be a unique experience for special occasions. Business class tickets can be expensive if you don't know the industry tricks.

We made good use of this and traveled from Copenhagen to New York for 900 USD. We where traveling Lufthansa and earned a ton of miles, these miles we then used for booking reward tickets. Error fares are probably the cheapest way to travel on business class and first class. But they are also the hardest to get. Error fares usually come from data that was entered incorrectly into the ticketing system. A misplaced decimal, a wrong currency conversion or maybe just a typo. Error fares disappear very fast. Usually airlines and ticketing offices notice the mistake and correct it within hours. That is why it is so important to always be up to date. But how can you take advantage of error fares? The best ways to find error fares is to constantly search through booking sites. But only a few of you will actually have the time to do that. The second option is to get involved in the forums that I mentioned before. Contribute with trip reports. Answer questions other users might have and just be involved. That way when another user finds an error fare - he will be more likely to share it with you. You can also subscribe to threads within the forum that way you will get a notification on a daily basis - what the new posts in this thread are. If you subscribe to the premium class thread in this forum, you'll get daily updates of new posts and changes within this thread. I personally refresh these threads on my browser a few times per day to see whats new but not every body has the luxury of having an internet connection all day. Check out the link in the description below for the most popular thread for luxury travel. This way I travelled from Oslo to Miami and back in business for only 528 Euro and you muss not forget I earned so many miles while flying.

World's Cheapest Michelin Star Restaurant (DIM SUM)

Today in Hong Kong, my local buddy Uptin Saiidi and I ate dim sum at the world's cheapest Michelin-star restaurant called Tim Ho Wan's. Our entire meal was less than $10 each - for dim sum!

Tim Ho Wan's started 9 years ago as a hole-in-the-wall dim sum restaurant in Mong Kok - the busiest district of Hong Kong. The dim sum is so freaking tasty that it has expanded to more than 50 locations in dozens of countries over the last decade. And it's so damn inexpensive!

It blows my mind how food can be THIS GOOD and THIS CHEAP in one of the world's most expensive cities... But I am surely not complaining!

Have you ever heard of Tim Ho Wan's? Or tried dim sum before? Can anyone back me up by how good it is?
