I left Canada about 1.5 years ago to travel the world and here are some of the top reasons why I left. I give a lot of my own personal anecdotes as someone who has lived in canada for over 20 years.
This video represents my personal opinion about living in canada and why I prefer to live in Asia or other countries.
The main reasons. why people are leaving
1. High living costs creates a low standard of living, especially in Vancouver and Toronto.
2. Lack of infrustructure for transportation which means you need to have a car in order to get around
3. Brain drain and lack of opportunities because most talent go to the states
4. Lack of medical healthcare because most people can’t find a family doctor or are finding it difficult to find one
5. Not much social life /activities for young people, most stores close at 6pm

Should You Move To Canada During The Cost Of Living Crisis? | Rent, Transport + Groceries
After being abroad for most of the year, I was SHOCKED when I returned back to Canada and saw just how much prices have rose since I was gone. Real Estate is obviously the worst culprit in the cost of living crisis, but regular expenses like transport, groceries, going out to eat, have all increased substantially in the last couple of years. While Canada's immigration numbers have definitely increased and the countries population is now at 40 million, there is a large group of new immigrants who have chosen not to stay and either return to their home countries or another destination instead. A large reason to this has been the high cost of living, as well as a lack of high paying jobs. So if you are thinking of immigrating to Canada any time soon, I hope you will find this video helpful in going over what might be the best province for you to live in, as well as what you can expect as the average monthly expenses.

Once you get here you are stuck. You cannot see your family or at least it's very difficult to do so as I discuss. You are either faced with expensive restrictions and constant flight cancellations like we've had or you can't take the time off because the vacation amounts are so low. It's a sad world that we live in.

How Canada ruined Immigrants' lives
Since Canada stopped processing FSW-O files, many lives were purposefully put in limbo. This created unnecessary stress, anxiety and depression. Immigrating to Canada in 2020/2021 or even 2022 can be hard or next to impossible. I hope that the whole situation with IRCC’s backlog will be fixed soon.
