The charming 60 British Virgin Islands are all about sailing, diving, fishing, and soaking up the sun on gorgeous beaches. Tortola's largest island is a 12 by a 3-mile paradise of white sand, lush green mountains, ruins, and rum distilleries. Tortola is also home to the capital, Road Town. Dramatic Virgin Gorda beckons you into underwater caverns. On mellow Jost Van Dyke, where swim-up bars serve delectable rum cocktails, island time prevails. Visitors are drawn to the lovely coral island of Anegada by its pristine beaches. Where is it?
If you are wondering, where on earth is the British Virgin Islands?
East of Puerto Rico in the Caribbean is the British Virgin Islands (BVI), a British overseas territory. The Virgin Islands archipelago includes the islands. Along with more than 50 other smaller islands and cays, the British Virgin Islands comprise the four main islands of Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Anegada, and Jost Van Dyke. The number of inhabited islands is around 15. Tortola, the largest island, measures approximately 12 miles (19 km) in length and 3 miles (5 km) in width. About 22,000 people are living on the islands as a whole. The capital of Tortola is in Road Town.

The coasts of Anegada and Cane Garden Bay or Smuggler's Cove on Tortola are particularly beautiful examples of BVI beaches.

The British Virgin Islands, also known as the Virgin Islands, is a British overseas territory in the Carribean Sea located to the east of Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands and north-east of Anguilla and consists of 4 big islands as well as other 50 smaller ones.
The so-called hybrid culture of the islands is a result of a mixture between European, African and Carribean elements as a result of their immigration to the island.
But this allowed people to develop from different prospectives build a well-functioning tourism industry.
Overall Although almost all visits to the islands are trouble-free serious incidents do take place on the island and this is one of the main reasons why you should be very attentive.
Scrub Island in the British Virgin Islands via St Thomas—Baths, Caves + Painkiller Cocktail
The British Virgin Islands are some of the most beautiful Caribbean islands in existence. We know because we just returned from a week on Scrub Island in the BVI island nation.
We flew from Houston to St Thomas, where we caught a water taxi, checked into customs on Tortola Island, and headed to our resort. Over the course of our week of British Virgin Islands travel, we visited Norman Island, The Baths, The Caves, Virgin Gorda, and had a chance to try the world-famous Painkiller cocktail.
