This is What Happens Inside a Mosque... How to Visit a Mosque ????

I know a lot of people are curious as to what happens in Mosques in their neighbourhoods. So I'll take you inside a Mosque and show you exactly what happens. The Mosque we're visiting is Jama Masjid in New Delhi, India but the process is the same in all Mosques around the world. I was so shocked by the Christchurch terrorist attack in my home country of New Zealand that I decided to make this video to help people better understand their Muslim brothers and sisters.

I'll also give you tips and etiquette on how to visit a Mosque anywhere in the world.

Can Non Muslims Enter This Mosque? | Malaysia

Can non muslims enter this mosque in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia? I take a walk to one of the oldest mosque in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia known as Masjid Jamek. All people Muslims and Non Muslims can enter this mosque during visiting hours. This masjid was built in 1908. On the way i see a beautiful river called the river of life. I listen to a great explanation of the mosque history by a brother who works there. This is truly a sight to see if you come to Kuala Lumpur. Religious shrines are always a pleasure to see in every country, this mosque was stunning.

When an Indian TOURIST STAYED IN A MOSQUE/Masjid in Malaysia

This video is about my hitchhiking/backpacking trip in Malaysia. I hitchhiked from Ringlet to Brinchang in the Pahang province. Visited a village of Orang Asli people, the indigenous people of Malaysia. This video will also show a glimpse of the Gurudwara (Sikh temple) and a mosque where I stayed for the night in Brinchang.

Masjid India in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia -

Masjid India was built in 1863, which was initially a small #mosque. It was built with bricks and timber. The construction was financed by #Indian #Muslim merchants who lived and traded around #Batu Road (now Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman) in #Kuala_Lumpur (KL), #Malaysia. This mosque is very close to the bay of #Klang river.

Later, a #street_market grew around #Masjid #India, which predominantly serves the local Indian Muslim community as well as other Muslim communities. Now rows of #stalls are selling a wide array of #souvenirs, #bags, #accessories, #toys and authentic Indian clothing including #punjabi, #sarees in vibrant colors and patterns. Food items including #Malay and Indian #street snacks, fresh juice, ready-to-eat dishes, spices, herbs and costume jewelleries are also sold in the #Masjid_India market. During #Ramadan, this place and adjacent areas become a lively food markets where authentic local dishes and #street_snacks can be enjoyed at attractive prices. Popular super shops such as #MYDIN, #Haniffa is also located in this area.

In #KL, there is another Indian majority area in Brickfield, which predominantly serves the local Indian non-Muslim community.

This time I was walking near to evening around #Masjid_India in late #September 2020. Though, due to #COVID-19 the place seems little bit less crowded but still very lively. I hope you will enjoy this video.

The Federal Territory Mosque Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia || Masjid Wilayah Persekutuan

Covering about 47,000 square meters, the Federal Territory Mosque (Masjid Wilayah Persekutuan) is one of the largest mosques in the country and was designed to be a “mosque in a garden”.
Construction of the mosque began in March 1996 and was completed in August 2000. It was opened to the public on 25 October 2000. The mosque can accommodate 17,000 worshippers at any one time.

Featuring a blend of the 16th century Ottoman Empire’s architectural design with traditional Malay craftsmanships, the Federal Territory Mosque is also influenced by the Blue Mosque in Istanbul, Turkey. Merging communal elements into the mosque, it offers an interactive relationship between spiritual elements and the community around it.

The mosque’s 22 domes are glazed with decorative blue tiles, made from a composite material of glass fiber fabric mixed with epoxy resin to make it durable and light. The mosque is exquisitely decorated with detailed carvings of traditional meandering cloud motives inspired by local floral patterns.

The wooden elements of the interior are made of cengal wood and carefully carved by local master craftsmen from the northeast region of the country, where traditional arts and crafts are still preserved and practiced.

Makarana marble, sourced from Agra, Jaipur, and Makarana in Rajestan, India, was used to decorate the main arch and the mihrab. These delicate white stones were carved by the hands of master carvers from India, which portrays authentic and detailed motives. Besides that, precious stones in the forms of lapis lazuli, black onyx, malachite, red and golden jasper, mother of pearl, and tiger eye added more sparkles to the already beautiful mosque.

Take a stroll outside the mosque and you will be surrounded by lush greeneries and seven water fountains filled with river pebbles. The pond offers serenity and a peaceful vibe to the mosque.

All visitors of all religions and beliefs are required to cover up (including wearing a headscarf) upon entering the mosque as a sign of respect.

Hello everyone!. in this video i am showing how kids regards their elders. #respect and #regards are the part of the culture of Islamic society. in this video shows how they greet with elders

While Malaysia is a predominantly Muslim nation – Islam is the national religion – there is thriving religious diversity in the country. Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Christians, and practitioners of Chinese indigenous religions coexist peacefully in the country. With distinct pockets and neighbourhoods of temples, mosques, Buddhist shrines, Chinese temples, and churches, the culture of Malaysia is home to several places of worship where one can find peace and serenity. It is important to note that the country imposes compulsory Islam on the ethnic Malay population, while other groups are allowed to practice their religion of choice.
Malaysian Customs, Traditions & Etiquettes
Malaysians place a huge emphasis on family and self-respect.
Raising one’s voice and arguing in public are considered faux-pas, so do not escalate a fight into loud arguments.
PDA is frowned upon, so do not engage in PDA while out in smaller towns.
Avoid touching the head while engaging in conversation – this is considered rude.
Use only the right hand to give and take things.
While meeting the locals, remember that some may not be comfortable with shaking hands with the other gender – especially when it comes to Muslim women.
Always wait for the other person to extend their hand, or opt to bow with the hand to the heart as a form of greeting.
It is recommended to take along a gift while meeting a local for the first time. Remember not to gift alcohol or pig-skin-lined items to Malays.
If visiting a Chinese home, wrap gifts in bright red or yellow wrapper, but do not take along flowers – they are considered funeral gifts.

Masjid Jamek Sultan Abdul Samad ????

Masjid Jamek Sultan Abdul Samad is an iconic mosque located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. With its stunning architecture and historical significance, it stands as a testament to the country’s rich Islamic heritage. Designed by British architect A.B. Hubback, the mosque showcases a fusion of Moorish, Indian, and Islamic architectural styles. It holds a special place in the hearts of Malaysians, as it was the country’s first brick mosque and a central landmark in the development of Kuala Lumpur.
