In this journey we go from the President's Palace to the Coral Reef Friday mosque, to the local and fish markets that had more Bangladeshis than I expected. I am arriving on my new island - Ukulhas, which is a local island with certain restrictions and with full of local life. The island has a specific energy and vibe. Every day I had such a simple life in Ukulhas that time was going so fast, even though it seemed like I am doing nothing. I had a favorite spots on the island, and I am so happy to share parts of those with you.
By chance, I met a gentleman from the island with an Indian background and he was super nice to take me around with his bike to explain everything—big thanks to him for making this video happen.

TROUBLE IN THE MALDIVES | The Dark Side of Paradise
I arrived on the island of Dhiffushi in the Maldives, which had been recommended to me as a beautiful island to visit. But it wasn't at all what I was expecting. The beaches were covered with garbage, there were almost no tourists and not many locals, there were ugly abandoned buildings, unfinished construction projects and piles of garbage and building materials scattered all over the island. I sincerely wanted to enjoy my time there, but it was in a rough state and so I had to be honest about that in the video. I ended up leaving Dhiffushi a day early and going to a five star resort on a private island, which I will show in the next video.
