What are Swiss people like? Living in Geneva, Switzerland

By popular demand, in this video, I talk about the Swiss people. In general, what are Swiss people like? How is it to live amongst them? If you're planning to move here, it's one of the things you probably want to know, after all, these will be the people you will be spending your time amongst ????

I now also offer advice & consultation sessions for people who are thinking of moving or planning the move to Switzerland. There’s a lot of very personal and specific topics that I am not able to cover in videos.

For those cases, we can schedule a Zoom/Skype/FaceTime/WhatsApp call (20-45 min) where I will do my best to answer any specific questions you might have.

If you are interested, email me: hello.miko.ps@gmail.com

After living in Switzerland for one year. 3 things I like and 2 I do not.

Unfortunately the contest is now over.????
Berdie Powell takes home the Bug A Salt!
Thank you all for entering!

There are a lot of things to love about living in Switzerlandut there are also a lot of things that are not so great. so today we are talking about three things that I love about Switzerland and two that I do not. Wait I forgot. Today we are also giving away this Bug a Salt gun. Number one. The outdoors. Switzerland is the most beautiful place that I have ever been to. the way the mountains look with the lakes and everything. It is just so pretty. Pictures do not do this place justice. But fortunately, you don't just have to look at pictures in Switzerland there are so many ways to get outdoors. There is hiking there is biking there is rockclimbing everywhere. There are these via ferratas that go up the rock faces also if you are not quite into rock climbing, you can go paragliding. If you name it Switzerland has got it. If you are not into this whole exercising thing you can go on these trams that go up the mountain. or these cable cars or the faries that go on the lakes. There is no reason that you cannot get outdoors in Switzerland it is amazing. If you live in Switzerland and you are not getting outside you are making a bad life decision. Why would you even live in Switzerland if you are not getting outside? that is the number one reason to live in Switzerland. It is so amazing. Switzerland is old. There are a lot of old buildings there are a lot of old towns and old roads, and really old history. If you are from Europe then this is just normal but I am From the USA. And in the US if you just go back a few hundred years history descends into a mystery. We don't really know what was going on in the USA 1000 years ago. History is one of my favorite parts about living in Switzerland. If you are visiting a castle or something it is crazy to think about all of the people that came before you that put in that work to build these structures. We don't remember most of their names. It is kind of humbling to think about.  Number 3. Switzerland is a tinny little country that is l

Eat like the Swiss | Delicious and cheap food in Switzerland

How to eat like the Swiss, when you want authentic and delicious food on a budget. Travel to Switzerland with confidence! It is possible to get cheap and delicious food here. Although many suggestions lead directly to Coop or Migros and their convenience section, there are many more ways for you to eat great food that is original and makes you full!

So instead go and make you own sandwich with local ingredients and without knowing you are eating an authentic Swiss dish! Or let it be prepared for you at a Swiss bakery nearby. Another great way is to eat out at restaurants at lunch and benefit from cheap lunch menus or head directly to authentic Swiss restaurants called Beiz, where the food is inexpensive and the mood is honest. If you like to get food that's more from home, do try fast food, kebabs or simply head to any Indian or Asian food restaurant where they will be happy to cook to your taste!

Enjoy your trip in Switzerland and don't be shy to live the local life!

Take care and have fun!

Top 10 Villages of SWITZERLAND – Most beautiful Swiss Towns – Best Places [Full Travel Guide]

Switzerland is a small country full of surprises and wonderful villages. Since decades, Switzerland has been attracting numerous tourists from allover the world. It is the Alps that fascinates most of the visitors but also the very well preserved villages. Although Switzerland is quite small, depending on the region, the villages and towns may look very different. In this video, the 10 most beautiful villages from allover the country will be presented in detail. While there may be a few that you might have heard of, there will be quite some surprises. Gruyères is THE place to experience the medieval vibes in Switzerland. The castle, the museums and furthermore the foodie world of Gruyères are really exciting to experience, do not forget to try fondue, Gruyère cheese and double cream! Zermatt is the most popular village on this list. Visit the many panoramas over the Swiss Alps, see the Matterhorn or simply explore the village of Zermatt itself! Discover the many beautiful traditional wooden houses scattered around this Swiss village! Visit what used to be the smallest municipality of Switzerland: Corippo. Corippo is located in the Valle Verzasca in Ticino. It's a wonderful village full of stone houses and very interesting: ONLY 12 people live in there! Surely, it's not crowded there. Saint-Ursanne is another medieval village; the town that could be in a fairytale. Saint-Ursanne is built along the river doubs and charms with its many medieval houses and wonderful abbey. Guarda - the town of Schellenursli - in the lower Engadin is located in the Rumantsch speaking region of Switzerland. It's far away the urban centres and very quiet. Best to visit during Summer or on Chalandamarz! Grimentz is THE stereotypical village of Switzerland. It's located up in the Swiss Alps and charms with its many traditional wooden houses. The houses are all decorated with red flowers; cheesy and alluring! Lauterbrunnen is another touristy favorite. The village is small but it's located in the Valley of 72 Waterfalls! Enjoy the scenery with its many waterfalls and greens! Do not forget to go up to Wengen and the Jungfraujoch! Epesses is located in Switzerland's wine region at lake Geneva! It's a wonderful village in the middle of the vineyards and definitely offers you enough viewpoints over the wine terraces, lake Geneva and the Swiss Alps. Stein am Rhein is also a very medieval and cultural village. The old town is perfectly preserved and charms with its many painted houses. Spectacular is the No e Wili play that is held on a 10-25 years base. Enjoy swimming in the river Rhine or dining at the Castle Hohenklingen. MORCOTE is the most beautiful Swiss village on this Top 10 list! It's located at Lake Lugano and charms with its appearance of being built at the hill. Stunning is the church Maria del Sasso, the wonder garden in the Parco Scherrer and furthermore the many viewpoints on the hill. Morcote is by the way considered not very touristy. Thus perfect to rank 1st among the Top 10 Villages of Switzerland! WATCH the ENTIRE VIDEO in 4K!

The Inside Of Kit Kats Are NOT What You Think ????

What's like to be a Swiss farmer?

Ben&Co coffee.
Not a paied promotion, just love the coffee.

when you think of Switzerland you think of the cheese the chocolate the amazing views these Green Fields yodeling echoing Through The Valleys falling asleep to cowbells you think of the Farms farming plays a central role in Swiss culture and Switzerland just wouldn't be Switzerland without it when I moved to Switzerland I couldn't work as a paramedic because I couldn't speak German so I started working for a farm couple widely is an organic grass-fed beef and lamb Farm located in central Switzerland and let me tell you farming in Switzerland is totally different than the us and this year I will be making a series of videos showing you what it's like to farm the Alps

thank you there's no better day to start the series than the first day of spring it's not actually the first day of spring but here on the farm it kind of is because today's the day that the cows come out of the barn for the very first time this year during the winter the cows are kept in the barn they have an outdoor patio area but it's just not the same as being out on the field the problem is the freezing and thawing of the winter just turns everything to Mud waiting around in mud is not good for the animals and it's not good for the land either in the spring after the snow melts and the land starts to dry the cows are brought back onto the fields and the valleys Echo with cowbells once again this is a pretty special day and the cows get pretty excited about it

thank you

[Music] if you've ever had the opportunity to hike around in Switzerland you've probably noticed the cows are mostly fenced in with just a single strand of fencing and maybe you've wondered is that little fence really strong enough to keep in that big cow no definitely not this is an electric fence and if you touch it it'll give you a pretty good zap it's not strong enough to injure the cow but they don't like it either so they stay away sometimes when they get a little bit too excited they just kind of forget that fence is there and just run right through it and then you have cows everywhere and that's not good when cows come out of the barn as you can see they're very excited and this is one of those times that they might run through a fence this is Eric and Barbara they are the owners of Kabul widely and they've basically taught me everything I know about farming in Switzerland to help remind the cows that there's still a fence they put this flagging tape up but there's also some strategy going on here first they only let the adult cows out of the barn these cows have done this multiple years in a row and they know what's going on after these cows have blown off some energy and are a little bit tired they bring them back into the barn and then they release them all again with the cows and this is when things get a little bit exciting

foreign

s were born in the winter and they only know life inside of the barn they've never been out on an open field like this because the cows have already had a chance to get their excitement out to help calm down the cow

thank you

[Music]

the cows are out of the barn this season has started and so has the series farming the Alps if you'd like to follow this adventure subscribe hit that notification button thank you so much for watching have a good one
