When it comes to the major cruise lines, there's what I consider the big three -- Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian. There are a lot of similarities between those three, but if I'm being honest, NCL stands out as an outlier from the other two.
The cruise line has a lot of things going on that I didn't realize until I sailed multiple times across different ships.
I'm talking about things like how the atmosphere on the ship is different than other rivals... how your day in port isn't a guarantee... and how one of the most popular sales in cruising has some fine print to know.

What I Wish I Knew Before I Sailed a Princess Cruise
I made a big mistake. You see, I took my first cruise more than a decade ago. And in that time, I've sailed most major cruise lines. But one of the few that I had yet to sail was Princess.
Think about it... I'm a guy in my 30s. A cruise line named Princess doesn't exactly sound like it's made for me. And when I cruise, I'm also a fan of going all out on the ship. I want waterslides. I want to race go-karts. I want to ride the roller coaster. It's go-go-go.
I still like all that, but I've got to tell you, after sailing Princess for the first time last month, I'm also rethinking things. There was a lot that I didn't realize about Princess... and it was a style that's very different from what I'm used to... and... I liked it?!

Having recently sailed on MSC, I can tell you that there are some major differences between this line and its competitors like Carnival or Royal Caribbean.

There is a lot to know before you even step foot on a Royal Caribbean Cruise. We have enjoyed our sailings with Royal Caribbean with all the different entertainment and food options on board. We don't want you to miss out so we are going to tell you everything you need to know about Royal Caribbean Cruises. We want to help you decide if Royal Caribbean is the right cruise line for you and help you know how to prepare for your upcoming sailing.
Dining and beverages are a big part of many peoples vacation so we start our Royal Caribbean need to know video looking at food and drink. In totally across all of royal caribbean's fleet there are 14 included restaurants and 28 specialty restaurants. Some of these dining locations are on all of the ships while others are class specific. One of our tips would be to check the cruise ship deck plans if there is a specific restaurant you want to try. Royal Caribbean Cruise dining did not disappoint. We were really happy with the included dining options and if you are looking for something a little more there are specialty restaurants. These do cost extra and the price varies depending on the restaurant. Royal Caribbean also offers dining packages that you can book prior to sailing and can save a little bit of money. We have met some people who get the unlimited dining package and enjoy eating at a specialty restaurant every night. In our Allure of the Seas and Odyssey of the Seas Tour we show you all the restaurants on board.
