HUA HIN TRAIN STATION AND MY LAST DAY IN THAILAND

I had a great twelve day first time visit to Thailand. An amazing Country, warm and friendly people. fantastic food and Temples. However, I was not into the rituals of Buddhism or the fanatical adoration of their royal family.
It drove me bonkers.
Anyway that's their culture, and who am I to criticize them.

Welcome To Bangkok Thailand | Thailand Documentary❤️

Welcome To Bangkok Thailand | Thailand Documentary ❤️
Welcome to Bangkok, Thailand Documentary From German TV
Bangkok is the capital and most populous city of Thailand. It is known to Thai’s as Krung Thep.
Thailand had an estimated population of 10.539 million in 2020, which is 15.3 percent of the country's total population. Bangkok is very important to the Thai national economy.
During the Asian investment boom in the 1980s and 1990s many multinational corporations located their SE Asia regional headquarters in Bangkok.
The city is now a major centre for finance and business. It is an international transport hub and is a popular centre for health tourism.
Bangkok is known for its street life, food and cultural landmarks, together with its infamous red-light districts.
You can visit The Grand Palace or Buddhist temples such as Wat Arun, go shopping in many shopping centres in the city and then in the evenings experience the nightlife in Khaosan Road or Patpong.
Bangkok is among the world's top tourist destinations, and has been named the world's most visited city consistently.
Bangkok's rapid growth coupled with little urban planning has resulted in a haphazard cityscape and inadequate infrastructure.
Bangkok has built the BTS and rapid transit lines to try an ease congestion and pollution in the city.

WELCOME TO THAILAND - Travel Film

Thailand is home to massages, shopping, beaches and lots of great holiday opportunities. This country has become synonymous to Asian paradise with so much on offer, especially in the peak tourist season. January is one of those months that fall in the peak time, with its dry weather and temperatures averaging to a pleasant 27°C. From Bangkok’s shopping and city love to the beaches of Phuket, night life of Krabi and Phi Phi Islands, to massages of Pattaya; Thailand should become your next stop for a holiday. January also brings the Chinese New Year and is an occasion of great celebration in the China Town of Bangkok by the Chinese community.

Things to Do:

Visit Thailand for many things, temples and monasteries foremost among them, including the Tiger Temple, Wat Arun, Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew) and Wat Pho. Bangkok makes for an amazing shopping destination, from malls (Terminal 21, MBK, Siam) to streets (Chatuchak weekend market, bustling night markets). Also explore the Golden Triangle, which is the confluence of Mekong River and Ruak River, the place where Myanmar, Laos and Thailand landscapes meet. There is also the Grand Palace. Visit Elephant Nature Park too if you want to get lost in the wildlife here. For island hopping, you have Phang Nga Bay (limestone rocks), Phuket (beaches, water sports and nightlife) and Krabi. If you are interested in history and the tribal culture of Thailand then head to the tribals in North (Akha, Lisu, Karen etc).

How to Reach:

The Suvarnabhumi International Airport and Don Mueang International Airport of Bangkok get flights from Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai everyday. You can also drive to Thailand from Manipur in India, via India-Myanmar-Thailand trilateral highway. When in Thailand, you can take tuk-tuks, metro trains (in Bangkok) or hire bikes and cycles. Taxis are also available.

Finally Bangkok's Tuk-tuks Go Green – and Silent!

Rattling tuk-tuks transporting tourists and locals through Bangkok's heavy traffic are iconic and one of Thailand's secret trademarks. But more and more of them are being replaced by electric versions that run quietly and don't pollute the air. Does that take the fun out of the experience? What is it like to ride in an electric tuk-tuk? And what do the tuk-tuk drivers have to say about it?

What do you think about the fact that the rattling three-wheelers are going electric? Will you miss the classic sound of the tuk-tuks?

Bangkok Bound 2019 | Meet the architects (Welcome to Bangkok)

Bangkok Bound 2019: Thailand’s first architecture showcase event
14th - 15th December 2019

Thailand has incredible architectural but, it doesn’t get the recognition it deserves.

Bangkok Bound is Thailand’s first architecture showcase event - created to celebrate architecture from Thai architects. Attendees have the opportunity to explore these physical spaces and experience the buildings firsthand.

Approx. 25 of Bangkok’s best buildings will each be open to the public over the weekend of the event. At each location, there’ll be talks and architect-led tours.

Attendance is completely free of charge.

ABOUT THE ORGANISER

Bangkok Bound is the brain-child of the ARCHiTRACKER Team

Based in London, UK, we’re a team of architects and technologists who are passionate about architecture and finding new ways to maximise visitor-experiences in physical spaces. We aim to improve and stimulate people’s interactions with buildings.

The inspiration for the ARCHiTRACKER app came from the frustration of being on a field trip at university, and failing to find famous projects to visit within a short period of time.
