It's our first night in Japan ever and we're staying at a CAPSULE HOTEL! The futuristic design gave me galaxy vibes. It felt like we were inside a spaceship floating among the stars.
The pods turned out to be more spacious than expected. I did not get claustrophobic, but everyone's level of comfort varies in enclosed spaces. How about the rest of the experience? Watch the full video to see the detailed tour!

There are many relaxing spaces besides the capsule rooms.

Today we're sleeping in a new capsule hotel located in Tokyo! These pods are much taller than the normal pods I've stayed in. You can actually stand and even raise your arm up completely! Well, if you're a basketball player, standing up will be enough ????
There are female-only and male-only floors. We stayed on the mixed gender floor, which felt safe and was quiet during my visit. Guests are always changing, so experiences may vary. Watch the video for the full tour!

Location: A Sketchy Capsule Hotel in Tokyo, Japan
Staying at a capsule hotel was one of the things I was looking forward to most when visiting Tokyo, Japan. Our experience staying at a capsule hotel was nothing like I expected it to be.
Please don't let this video stop you from staying at a capsule hotel next time you're in Tokyo! There are much nicer hotels, but messed up and went to the wrong capsule hotel! I found a nice one on Trip Advisor, but we put the wrong address into our maps and we ended up a super gross capsule hotel. We didn't realize we had checked into the wrong hotel until it was too late!
To stay at the capsule hotel you pay with a vending machine. We couldn't get our money back so we were stuck there for tonight. Unfortunately, they still allow smoking inside, so that didn't make our sleepless night any better. It was pretty much a nightmare experience, but we tried to make the most of it!
