In our quest for seeking out a more healthy and sustainable lifestyle, we made a plan that includes zero waste living, tiny home living and full-time travel. We considered buying an RV, looked at trailers and airstreams but settled on doing a bus conversion for our off-the-grid, tiny house on wheels. We bought a 1996 MCI 102 D3 coach bus and with the Bus Demolition and Interior Shell complete, we turned it into our Tiny Home on Wheels and are now traveling!

Marie Enjoys her time alone. (Learning By Doing Ep198)

We're still apart, Marie in Magnetic Island and alone on the boat, Vernon in Switzerland carrying out a commercial Photo-Shoot.
For the past couple of years we've spent almost every minute together so its ben interesting now spending this time apart, especially for Marie as its her first time being alone on the boat. Vernon is pretty busy with work and also battling a cold so time goes by pretty quickly for him.

⭐ About Travel Beans:
Hello and welcome to our channel! We are Alex & Emma, a British couple who have been exploring the world together for over 10 years - from backpacking to vanlife:

2012/13: We both embarked on our own solo backpacking trips through Southeast Asia, where we would eventually meet at a hostel in the mountains of Thailand and begin traveling together. After a year and a half of backpacking around Southeast Asia & Australia, we returned home and to the corporate world!

2015: Travel Beans was born and we filmed our first videos on a road trip around Europe with friends! This was our biggest trip yet.. and you can go back and watch the entire adventure because we filmed ALL of it! This trip took us through Russia, Mongolia & China, on the longest railway journey in the world. Followed by highlights such as staying on a local island in the Maldives for a month, going on safari in Sri Lanka, couchsurfing & hitchhiking in Korea, seeing the snow monkeys in Japan, island hopping in the Philippines, trekking 60km through the centre of Myanmar, exploring the Indian Himalayas, and checking out some of the incredible US National Parks.

2016: Despite an unbelievably memorable year and a half of travels, which we were incredibly grateful to have had the privilege to experience.. we found ourselves in New York City, battling depression. At this point, we decided to go home and confront this problem head-on.

2017: After 6 tough months at home we decided to go away again, but this time with a goal in mind.. to turn travel into a lifestyle. We left the UK with just £500 in our bank account and a dream to make a continuous travel lifestyle happen! We both got online English teaching jobs to be able to fund our travels and to keep creating videos. We can't quite believe that our younger selves decided to take this plunge but we are so grateful they did as we are still on this journey today!

What now?
Over the years, we've discovered that we LOVE road trips and even decided to renovate our very own little VWT4 van into a campervan to be able to enjoy vanlife and spend more time on the road. We are now the proud owners of 2 awesome little campers - one based in the UK and one that we keep in the USA. You'll often find us using one of these vans to explore Europe and North America. If you enjoy this kind of content we'd recommend checking out our Italy Road Trip series, USA vanlife series and our Japan in a Tiny Van series as well as our UK vanlife content.

Our time spent overcoming depression has influenced our outlook on life dramatically! We are now traveling the world in search of what makes us happy. We love sharing the highs and lows of our trips through our videos and hope to spread a little positivity and light to all of the beautiful people who take the time to tune in and watch each week!

A Plane Lost Its Roof at 24,000 Feet But Managed to Land

You’ve probably seen Hollywood movies where a hole in the side of a plane causes utter chaos. Luckily, in reality, small damage to fuselage won't have such dramatic consequences. But a big opening in a plane’s side will. So would you believe me if I told you a pilot managed to land a plane with its much of it’s roof torn completely off?

SUMMARY:
- At 1:25 pm, on April 28, 1988, a 19-year-old Boeing 737 that belonged to Aloha Airlines left Hilo International Airport and headed for Honolulu.
- When the plane arrived at this destination, the pilots didn’t leave the cockpit or inspect the aircraft from the outside. After all, it wasn't a requirement, and they didn't have to do it.
- The length of the missing part was 18.5 ft long, and that was the aircraft skin that covered the plane from the cockpit back to the fore-wing area.
- The plane started to roll from side to side, and it was becoming increasingly harder to control. Everybody who was in the cockpit immediately put on their oxygen masks, and the captain took over the aircraft.
- All three flight attendants were standing along the aircraft aisle. The one who was the closest to the front of the plane was swept out through the hole in the roof.
- But the problem was at that time, in case of emergency, the airport control tower had to dial 911 just like anyone else. l
- As the plane was approaching the runway, the left engine failed, and the aircraft started rocking and shaking. The captain made an attempt to restart the engine but didn't succeed.
- Everyone on the plane, except for the flight attendant who had been pulled out of the plane, was alive, although 65 people were injured. Most people had been hurt by flying debris and torn pieces of fuselage.
- During one interview that followed the accident, passenger Gayle Yamamoto remembered that she had spotted a crack in the fuselage when she was boarding. Unfortunately, she was the only one who had seen this damage, and the woman hadn't thought that the crack was important enough to inform the crew.

Traveling Couple Wisdom - Aurelie & Petru - Digital Nomads

This week’s #TravelingCoupleWisdom is a bit different than usual... We got @dino.vipkid Kim & Ashton to interview us this time!

They came up with their own questions, and we love how different they were from the ones we usually ask couples. Reliving fun memories we had forgotten about and realizing our luck as far as traveling issues go. (We completely forgot we did wake up in the middle of the night to our building being full of smoke in Chile though ????)

Go check out our new video to learn more about how we budget, schedule ourselves and (try to) balance traveling with exercise and couple time.

Enjoy and feel free to ask us any other questions about what else you would like to learn about us in the comments below.

In part two of our weekend adventures where we both enjoyed some time apart with our friends watch Luca try to see the best of London, catch the sunset in the right location and of course enjoy some full English breakfast...for lunch.

The weather had turned completely upside down and Luca got to explore beautiful London in sunny, light spring jacket weather while Paula spent most of the weekend inside the house as it was raining and quite cold for March in the south of Spain.

Join us in part two of our video series as Luca travels to the United Kingdom to explore the capital, try to see as much as possible in one and a half-day and Paula is left in Spain while it rains mud from the sky.

SEPERATED for Work: Our First Time Apart is Tougher Than We Thought

After 18 months of being glued to each others sides we are forced to separate and are finding it tougher than we expected. With some big new professional goals including Youtube and franchising Crystal's business, we have plenty to keep us busy while we are apart. I spend my birthday alone on a continent I don't know anybody for the first time while Crystal travels back to the United States for this episode of The Cristol Show.

HI! We are Christo and Crystal, collectively known as Cristol. We met at a party in the middle of the desert in 2021 when we lived on opposite sides of the USA. Since falling in love we have changed everything about our lives to be together and travel the world full-time. We are spontaneous, silly and love to find adventure wherever it may lie. Our mission with our channel is to share LOVE and EDUCATION. The love for each other, for the places we visit, the cultures we explore and the people we meet. All while sharing education we gather along the way as we continue to grow as individuals and as a couple. Subscribe to @thecristolshow here on Youtube and become a friend. Our journey is just getting started and we want to bring you along with us.

Goodbye Couch? RV Remodel & Ohio's Total Solar Eclipse!

In this episode of Wandering Wagners we experienced the total solar eclipse at our home in Ohio then visited Bontragers RV Surplus to do some shopping for a new replacement for the couch in our Nexus Super C RV!
Ohio was in the direct path of the total solar eclipse and we were lucky enough to be able to witness it together at our home base with the dogs. We really enjoyed seeing it first hand and it's something that video and pictures will never do it justice vs seeing it with your own eyes. Truly something magical to see!
Next we traveled to Bontragers RV Surplus in White Pigeon, MI so we could look for new theatre seats, to replace the couch in our RV. Our Wraith was supposed to have been built with theatre seats from the factory but for some reason, it came equipped with a pull-out sofa bed. We have never used the pull out bed and really wanted space where we could both lay comfortably and watch TV, and theatre seats were the answer! At least this way, we could get the color scheme we wanted. We were never a fan of the 50 shades of tan/yellow cream all of the furniture was in the RV to begin with. Now, the couch was the LAST piece of furniture from the Nexus factory that needed to be changed out!
We were able to find a brand new dark brown theatre seat set and brought it home, hoping we could make it work. With a few adjustments and a run to @HomeDepot for plywood we were able to make it work, so we could have a full recline of the seats. What do you think?
If you're in the area, check out Bontragers yourself!
