We just arrived in Bali after a long and tenuous journey stretching over 10 days from Moscow, Russia. Quarantine in Jakarta was thankfully easy and comfortable due to a great hotel choice (Mercure Jakarta Gatot Subroto - check out our previous video if you're curious!). Now in Bali, we are fortunate to have a cosy little home to return to even though it's been 2 years since we set foot on Bali. Being people of modest means and introverts who choose a quiet existence, our Bali house is simple and minimalist. Despite its modest size and furnishings, it remains a wonderful haven for us and our dog Kitana. We hope you enjoy this little peek into our private lives. In this video of Living the Jo Life, we go on a day trip around the beautiful countryside surrounding Ubud. We start off at a coffee plantation, where we taste about 15 different types of coffee, including the famous Luwak coffee. Next, we visit a local school, where we got to hang out in one of the classrooms with the students. Then, we embark on a 5-hour cycling tour, which takes us through numerous villages and passed some stunning rice paddy fields and magnificent Hindu temples. We also visit a local family compound, indulge in traditional food and have a close encounter with a big spider. Cost of living in Bali November 2023 | Is it a good Idea to move to Bali now??
We share our cost of living in Bali November 2023. Our expenses are based on 2 people living in a rented villa with and keep things pretty modest. We cover rent and utilities, motorbike rental and current gas prices. Groceries and eating out, laundry and day to day expenses.
We didn't mention sim card & data plans???? We use Telkomsel and it cost us IDR129K (USD $8) initial outlay & about IDR100K ($6-7) for 35GB top up. As prices can increase depending on the time of year and with things bouncing back after relaxed travel restrictions, overall expenses also increase. Our aim is to help you plan and budget your stay with some updated info to maximize your time in Bali Indonesia.
