Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the #travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to go travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this #travelvlog to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling, and we didn’t want to stop after just one year! After achieving our new goal of 100 countries and then all 7 continents (check out our documentary here: we had no plans to slow down, until 2020 decided to force us to ;) which is when we bought a converted Sprinter van to start exploring our own country for the first time. #Vanlife was a major adjustment and so different than flying every week like we were used to, but we are incredibly thankful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. ????????????

Inside REAL (abandoned) Nuclear Bunkers! We explored & went into abandoned cold war bunkers! #urbex

Join us as we explore another part of this abandoned US Army base - the NUCLEAR STORAGE BUNKERS!!

While we were making this video we had a SCARY moment when we came across about 10 wild boars! Luckily we were able to yell at them and scare them away...it was really freaky. They were only about 10 feet away from us when we finally saw them. They were snorting like crazy!

A big thank you to all of the Veterans that wrote to us and commented on our last videos! We decided to go back and make a video of this part of the base just for you! We hope that you enjoy it!

If you enjoyed the video and if you would like, you can buy me a piece of pizza!

Underground secrets: Cold War bunker with power still on

Urban exploration: Sleeping in an abandoned NATO nuclear bunker (subtitles available) Episode #174

Like an interactive museum, the forgotten NATO bunker in this video allows an unspoiled look into the time of the Cold War when the human race was facing the real possibility of extinction due to a nuclear war. For the most immersive experience, we did not only explore this facility but also slept there. #urbex #abandonedplaces #bwturbex

This Shed Is NOT Normal!

I thought it was a shed. I was wrong.

In this episode we explore in the heart of Scandinavia to Sweden's last remaining Cold war era nuclear fallout/Weapons system facility... placed under a shed. Abandoned since the 90's, it has been saved from demolition by S-O and Christer, who you meet in the video.

Exploring Abandoned Military Bunkers in England | Lejog Training Ep.17

Farleigh Down Tunnel and Sidings is an abandoned military bunker and tunnel system that was used as an ammunitions dump during WW2.

In this hiking adventure I explore the abandoned military bunkers and tunnels found in Farleigh Down Tunnel and Sidings. I also hiked to the nearby WW2 Pill boxes to explore more of the abandoned military secrets found here, near Cotswold. After this I hiked to the amazing hidden gem called Brown's Folly. This large Folly tower allows you to walk to the top to see an amazing view of the Cotswolds.

I did this hike as part of my training for the Lejog. In June I will be walking the length of the UK for the mental health charity mind. During the build up to this hiking challenge I have been doing walks every other day in England to prepare. If you would like to support my fundraiser for the charity here is the link:

Why You NEED To Get A Bunker!

The Western wildfires, the Western/central heatwave and drought, Southeast tornadoes and hurricanes Delta, Zeta, Laura, Sally, Isaias, and Hanna are just some of the billion dollar natural disasters to have happened in 2020, and statistics say, it's only going to get worse. In the 2000s, were 62, billion-dollar natural disasters. In the year 2020 alone, there were 22! If you add a global pandemic that has killed millions of people worldwide and mass vaccinations that have had a rushed testing period, well it's no surprise that a lot of people decided to build a Doomsday bunker and live in it, and maybe we should too!

Luckily, the feeling that The Apocalypse is coming is actually fairly widespread and there are many companies that build bunkers, and bomb, tornado, and fallout shelters.
You can choose from a wide variety of options based on your needs, and your budget!

The least expensive is around $20,000.
This will get you an 8ft by 8ft or about 6m2 bunker, complete with mudroom, NBC air filtration system, and a gas-tight door. Other models are designed for longer stays or even full time living.
Like this silver leaf series bomb shelter. for $122,500 you get a 50ft by 10ft bunker that's around 46m2fitted with a Dining Table and Bench, a Double Counter With Sink, a Composting Toilet, NBC Air Filtration with Blast Valves and Overpressure Valve, Bullet Resistant Security Door, Shower, Tankless Hot Water Heater, Water Pressure Pump, Grey-Water Evacuation Pump, Master Bedroom and additional bedroom with bunk beds.

This type of shelter has ample storage and makes it possible to live in it full time, so why don't we?
Instead of spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on a flimsy house built above ground that can be destroyed by a tornado or a hurricane or a bomb or an earthquake or a fire or termites or rot, the list goes on and on! why don't we build safe, strong houses underground and have a bigger garden above?
The average sale price for a house in 2020 was around $300,000, for that price you could get this

This is a 50ft by 20ft bunker, that's around 93m2, it has three bedrooms, a bathroom, a pantry, a kitchen/diner, and a family room, it comes complete with a Bullet Resistant Door, Escape Hatch, NBC Air Filtration With Blast Valves and Overpressure, Full Kitchen with a Double Counter Including a Double Sink, Composting Toilet, Shelving For Food Storage, Water Pressure Pump, Shower, Hot Water Heater, Grey-Water Evacuation Tank, Grey-Water Evacuation Pump, Bathroom Door, 12 Volt LED Lighting, Solar Generator With Battery Supply, 12 Volt TV/DVD Combo, Fresh Water Inlet, 120/240 Volt Inlet, Staircase Handrail and painted interior.

There are even options for bigger families or for families who want more space.
These bunkers give you the possibility of sharing the costs with neighbors or loved ones or saving loved ones who don't have their own bunker. You could even create your own bunker community.
This bunker has enough beds for 22 people it comes wired for dual power, which means it can run both on and off the grid. it also comes with custom flooring and carpet, a custom kitchen with beautiful cabinets and counters, a multi-vehicle garage with motor-cave, a greenhouse for sustainable food sources, a large gym and exercise facilities, and huge storage rooms.

In this random vlog, dropping in between the continued series with my electric scooter we are going for a quick exploration of a very well-preserved soviet bomb shelter found in the basement of the Faculty of Physics in Bulgaria. Join me, it’s quite interesting down there!

SWISS UNDERGROUND BUNKERS FOR ALL

SWISS UNDERGROUND NUCLEAR BUNKERS ????????
Switzerland is unique in having enough nuclear fallout shelters to accommodate its entire population, should they ever be needed
Why on earth have you got a reinforced steel door in your cellar? The amazement of a visiting Italian friend is easy to understand. He has never been in the basement of a Swiss home.
Cellar? Well, the room is half full of bottles of wine, old books, a freezer, unwanted clothes... but a cellar it certainly is not. Our friend has simply stumbled upon our fallout shelter. Thanks to the thick armoured door and the ventilation system, with anti-gas filter, if the worst came to the worst, the 25 or so tenants of our block could survive even a nuclear strike.
These Swiss! Paranoid and obsessed with security, our friend must have thought. And there is probably some truth in that assessment.
The Swiss do in fact spend more than almost any other nation (more than 20 per cent of their budget) to insure themselves against everything and everyone. But there is a more simple reason: it is a legal requirement.
