The Must Sees of the Caucasus: Towers and mountains in Ingushetia and North Ossetia
Today we are in the North Caucasus region of Russia, and we are in for plenty of adventure in and around some rockin’ mountains! In this episode we are featuring two very contrasting regions of Russia - Ingushetia and North Ossetia.
Ingushetia is the smallest region of Russia occupying just 0.02% of the nation’s landmass. The region is very monoethnic with almost everyone being an Ingushetian. This region has the lowest percentage of Russian population anywhere in the country. It is also the most Islamic region of the nation with 99% of respondents saying they are believers.
If Ingushetia is passionately Islamic, then North Ossetia is equally passionate in terms of Eastern Orthodox Christianity, probably because this land was Christened even before Kievan Rus!
These two regions create quite a contrast and that is exactly the reason to come here, you can see two completely different realities united by amazing landscapes, good food and plenty of history.

Ingushetia - The Land of Towers
In this episode I explore Ingushetia - one of the smallest regions in Russia. Ingushetia is rarely discussed and an average Russian knows almost nothing about this region except the fact that it is located at Northern Caucasus. However, there is a decent amount of insane places in the republic.
In the beginning of my short exploration of this wonderful area I visit the capital city (town) of Magas and the next day I go to a border area to find some tape towers that are known as significant landmarks of Ingushetia.

Episode 8 of season 2 of the travel show Russia through the eyes of a foreigner.
Our heroine today is Han Zhou. She is from China, and has long dreamed of visiting the Caucasus. She went with us to the land of towers, Ingushetia — the smallest republic in Russia.
Hangzhou learns the art of Caucasian cuisine, gets acquainted for the first time with the famous Ingush towers, spacious fields, hills and mountains of the Caucasus.
Горная Ингушетия. Вовнушки, Эрзи и другие достопримечательности
Видео, снятое по сути за одни сутки пребывания в Республике Ингушетия, а точнее в горной ее частив Джейрахском и Ассинском ущельях. Это не только самый маленький регион на Северном Кавказе, но также и самый маленький, но очень красивый субъект России.
Для ночевки мы не стали выбирать отель при горнолыжном курорте Армхи, а выбрали гестхауз Легенды гор, располагающийся в очень красивом месте с видом на гору Цей-Лоам.
В ходе этой поездки мы посетили башенные комплексы и древние поселения вайнахов, в которых стоят боевые башни: Таргим, Эгикал, Эрзи, Вовнушки, Хамхи. Также прогулялись до Ляжгинского и Эка-Чожинского водопада. Утром же в рассветных лучах любовались горой Цейлом (Йей-Лоам).
