On board Iconic Expedition Superyacht Legend in the Mediterranean | For Charter by Y.CO
After a successful trial summer season in the Mediterranean, Legend– which is known as one of the most luxurious expedition vessels on the charter market – will be offering their iconic charter experience, which includes a crew to guest ratio of more than 1:1, submersible and heli-operations – to guests hoping to discover the islands and beaches of France, Italy, Croatia and Greece.
Built by IHC Verschure in 1974, Legend was transformed from an Ice Breaking Tug into a luxurious go-anywhere Explorer vessel by Icon Yachts in 2015. Since then, she has thrilled guests on expeditions to Antarctica during the winter months, while her summers have been spent heliskiing in Greenland and exploring the Norwegian Fjords and Svalbaard. While the yacht will still explore Northern Europe during June, she will bring her expedition experience to the Mediterranean for the peak season of July and August.
Ideal for large parties and multi-generational family groups, Legend accommodates up to 22 guests across 11 generous, individually themed cabins. The yacht offers an array of luxurious amenities such as a Balinese Spa, a heated 16-person hot-tub, Cinema room, a Teppanyaki grill and a fully equipped Gym across her five ornately designed decks. All this, along with a guest to crew ratio that exceeds 1:1, makes Legend as at home in the sun-dappled bays of the Mediterranean as she is in the icy waters of Antarctica.

Launched in 2009, the 73-foot (22.25m) Wally motor yacht AIFOS features iconic design and visionary styling. She is a WallyPower model and is one of five ever built. AIFOS has striking good looks, both inside and out. Her has a carbon fiber and glass superstructure, a 21-foot, four-inch (6.5m) beam and a three-foot (0.91m) draft. This shallow draft allows the yacht to cruise almost anywhere. AIFOS is as fast and fierce as she is fabulous with a cruising speed of 34 knots and a maximum speed of 40 knots. To ensure comfort for all guests while aboard, the yacht features a dual Seakeeper stabilization system. In 2020, AIFOS underwent an extensive refit that included a complete rebuild of her Rolls-Royce KaMeWa drives. The refit also included a full paint job and custom modifications to the yacht’s engine air intakes.

CANNES YACHTING FESTIVAL 2023 - Multihulls World
► Although the multihull market is back at cruising speed following a period of post-Covid euphoria, it hasn’t really seen a crisis, despite the sharp rise in inflation and interest rates. In this slightly more rational economic context, the Cannes Yachting Festival is more than ever the world’s Master of Ceremonies for the season, with 700 boats from 15 to 160 feet (5 to 50 meters) in length presented in an exceptional setting - including more than 70 multihulls spread between the two ports occupied by the show. As for more detailed trends, there is strong demand for 35- to 40-foot units (both sail and power), an explosion in the market for small powercats, now occupied by major players in both sailing and traditional motorboating, and a good performance by multiyachts. There has also been an increase in the number of forever green players - and that’s great news!
