I walked the beaches of Copacabana, Ipanema and Urca during the first weekend of partial block in Rio de Janeiro in the second wave of contamination of the pandemic.
See what is allowed and what is not allowed during the block that runs between 03/26/2021 to 04/04/2021:
DETERMINATIONS
- The practice of individual physical activities in squares, parks and public places in the municipality, as well as in open spaces of common use in private areas, is allowed, as long as it does not generate agglomerations and meets life protection measures.
ARE PROHIBITED
- The permanence of people on public roads from 11 pm to 5 am.
- The functioning of: Museums, galleries, libraries, cinemas, theaters, concert halls and presentation rooms.
- Nightclubs, dance clubs, dance halls, party houses and others.
- Hairdressing salons, barber shops, beauty and aesthetics institutes.
- Social and sports clubs and leisure services.
- Amusement parks and circuses.
ARE SUSPENDED
Face-to-face service, of any nature, in:
- bars, cafeterias, restaurants and the like, except for the drive thru, take away and home delivery modalities (delivery), forbidden, in any case, consumption on the spot;
- kiosks in general, including those on the seafront, except in the form of home delivery (delivery) and take-away;
- the exercise of other economic activities in the sands of the beaches and in the streets, including the fixed and itinerant itinerant commerce, the commerce of food, beverages and products by means of motor vehicles, towable or powered by human propulsion, the commerce carried out in special fairs, street fairs, antique fairs and arts fairs;

- Banking and lottery establishments, credit institutions, insurance, capitalization, commerce and administration of real estate values and postal service.
- Wholesale trade and the supply and logistics chain.
- Free and mobile fairs.
- Newsstands, with exposure to the sale and sale of alcoholic beverages prohibited.
- Fuel and gas trade.
- Mechanics service and trade in auto parts and accessories for vehicles and bicycles, in addition to vehicle rental services.
- Hospitality and accommodation, with the operation of food services restricted to guests.

Ipanema beach is the favorite of the young carioca. Unlike what tourists think, Copacabana beach is not the main beach for the carioca. It is actually Ipanema.
It is 2.6 km long and extends to Leblon beach, which is a complement.
Ipanema inspired the composer Vinícius de Moraes when he released the song Garota de Ipanema, of which Tom Jobim was responsible for the melody.
Among the favorite activities are surfing skiboard, frescobol, volleyball, soccer, footvolley.
Posto Nove is considered one of the best spots on Rio's beach, frequented by celebrities and young people.
Posto Eight is Rio's largest LGBT stronghold on the beach.

On a winter afternoon, a walk on the Copacabana boardwalk at sunset, a beautiful orange sky, a lot of people walking, enjoying a leisurely afternoon, exercising in the most famous neighborhood in Brazil, Copacabana.
This was a relatively hot day for the time of year, it is winter in Rio de Janeiro and with a blue sky the sun gained some strength to warm up the cariocas who wasted no time and went to the beach.
I'm back to Rio de Janeiro after a 15 day trip to São Paulo and this is the first video recorded after the trip.
Many videos from São Paulo will come and the idea will be interspersed with videos from Rio de Janeiro and perhaps other cities.
