BANGKOK, THAILAND (2023) | 10 BEST Things To Do In & Around Bangkok (+ Travel Tips!)

In this video, we highlight 10 of the best things to do in and around Bangkok for your first or second visit:

10. Try the street food
A dish generally costs between 1 to $3 and ranges from barbecued chicken and steamed dumplings, to Pad Thai and tasty mango sticky rice.

9. Admire the Grand Palace
The Grand Palace is Bangkok’s most impressive and popular tourist attraction. Established in 1782, this complex was the royal residence for generations.

8. See the reclining Buddha at Wat Pho
Known as one of Bangkok’s oldest temples, this place has a rich history and is home to an impressive Reclining Buddha.

7. Visit a floating market
The most popular floating market is Damnoen Saduak, which is about a 1.5 hour drive from the city center of Bangkok.

☑️ Floating market + railway market tour:

6. Take a stroll in Lumpini park
This big green oasis offers several lawn areas, paved walking paths, trees, playgrounds, and an artificial lake.

5. Get a view over Bangkok
We visited the Mahanakhon building, home to Bangkok’s highest observation deck, which provides spectacular views of the city and river.

☑️ Buy tickets in advance (recommended!):

4. Explore lesser-known Buddhist Temples
With roots steeped in centuries-old history and Buddhist culture, you can find hundreds of temples in Bangkok. It’s worth visiting a few in the Banglamphu area (Golden Mount & Loha Prasat) with a local guide.

☑️ Buddhist tour with Saravarint:
Contact her via WhatsApp: +66 92 471 4193

3. Experience Khao San Road
Khao San Road is a vibrant street, packed with hostels, food vendors, clothing stalls, bars, restaurants, and travelers from every corner of the globe.

2. Shop at Chatuchak Weekend Market
On Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm, thousands of shops open their doors to sell food, clothing, souvenirs, and home goods.

1. Watch the sunset over the Chao Phraya River & Wat Arun
From one of the rooftop bars (Eagle’s Nest or The Deck Restaurant), you can watch the sun set over Wat Arun.

Wild Night in Bangkok Chinatown. Not just Street Food Heaven! ???????? Thailand 2023

In this video we're exploring Chinatown in Bangkok, Thailand! This area of Bangkok is very famous for its street food and night market. However, we go earlier in the day to Chinatown to check out all it has to offer including street art, amazing coffee, and hipster shopping.

We start things off at the entrance to Chinatown the China Town Gate. We walk around there for a bit and then head down to another area of Chinatown.

We make our way to Talat Noi Street art which is a small alley that is filled with street art. We find a hidden coffee shop called Mother Roaster Talad Noi where we have iced. cafe lattes.

After getting caffeinated we head to a really interesting part of the area called Warehouse 30. There are lots of trendy galleries, boutiques and cafes here. We also found a peacock and a cat!

Lastly we hopped on a tutuk to head back to the main part of Chinatown to check out the Yaowaret Night Market. Here we tried a couple of different dumplings as well as Thai donuts called Pa Tong Go.

The Best 24 Hours in Bangkok!

There is so much to see and do in Bangkok. We spent the day on another of our 24-hour adventures where we handpick the best things to see, eat and drink in just one day! We start the day at the Damnoen Saduak Floating Markets where we browse all sorts of wares on little boats before trying the famous Boat Noodles. We cool down in the afternoon with some fresh fruit tea from Cha Bar and play with the cutest Huskies at TrueLove @ Neverland Husky Cafe before getting a ‘relaxing’ Thai massage. We catch the beautiful sunset 61 storeys high at one of Bangkok’s famous rooftop bars - Vertigo and Moon before ending the night eating our way through Bangkok’s Chinatown. It's all here in our latest episode of 24 Hours, our original travel videos series where we see the best of the world's cities in just one day.

A Wild Marathon in Bangkok: 10 Modes of Transportation!

What a crazy shoot this was in Bangkok!! Swimming, mini bus, motorbike, bus, BTS, MRT, Taxi, Boat, Tuk Tuk & Bicycle -- ALL in less than 2 hours?!

In an attempt to show you how hectic the streets of Bangkok are, I had an idea to try and use EVERY MODE OF TRANSPORTATION to get from my apartment to the Grand Palace (13 km) during rush hour.

So, I invited my Slovak friend, Juraj, to join me on this wild adventure and off we went. We were able to come up with 10 different modes of transportation that you can take in Bangkok, and to make it more exciting, we gave ourselves a time limit of 2 hours.

Did we make it? Find out in this adrenaline-packed video! Have you ever been to Bangkok?

MY BANGKOK VISA RUN VLOG (Less Than 24 Hours) - THAILAND 2017

This is NOT a visa run guide or an informative video.
This vlog was filmed during my 24-hour visa run to Bangkok from Hanoi, or I should say more like less than 24-hour visa run.

After 3 hours of delays at Hanoi's Noi Bai International Airport, I arrived in Bangkok at 5:00pm. I then spent 1 hour in the Immigration line, so it wasn't until 6:00pm that I was able to leave the airport.

Then it was a 30 minutes commute via metro train into the city and another 20 minutes by motorcycle taxi to my hotel. I was supposed to arrive in Bangkok at 2:00pm, giving me plenty of time to do some daytime sightseeing. That didn't happen.

I had to keep my visa run very short because of my schedule with work and other matters. Next time, I'll make sure to visit for a few days and to get out to other regions of Thailand!

Because of the weird delay and traveling, I actually didn't eat much on this trip. On Khaosan Road, I ate a big piece of durian, which filled me up fast (it's a rich fruit). I then ate 3 chicken skewers, but they were tiny and nothing impressive to talk about, so I didn't film it. The rest of the night I drank beer and Long Island Iced Teas. ^^

The next day, I still had no appetite, and it didn't even matter because I couldn't find any food! I had really bad luck. I finally ate when I was back at the airport. How sad. It was Thai food, but it sucked, and it was soooo expensive. NEVER AGAIN!

But the great thing is my visa run went smoothly. No issues with the visa stamp or anything, so that was a success. ^^

Here's the info for the capsule hotel I stayed at and a map link to Khaosan Road.
