How I see the US after living in Europe for 5 years

What is America like after experiencing life in Europe? BIG. Consumerism. Gun violence. The homeless. The police. What do you do for work?

This is how I see the US after living in the Netherlands for 5 years. Sometimes it takes leaving a place for one to truly understand the pros and cons of a place. There are things I love and dislike about the US. Hope you enjoy this short movie!

USA vs. Europe: Live to Work? Work to Live?

What is one big difference between Europe and the USA? Well the philosophy between working to live vs. living to work. Can you guess which is which?

Of course there is no one right way. But if you bring in the facts, the US ????????is the only advanced nation in the world that doesn't guarantee its citizens paid vacation. Average vacation is 2 weeks, and 50% of Americans do not take up the full 2 weeks per year. In Europe, many countries guarantee its citizens 4-6 weeks of paid vacation per year—and they take them.

And good luck trying to get ahold of your European colleagues during summer!

Can you believe that you have to pay to use public toilets, and to drink water in Europe?! What is the deal with cigarettes being fashionable? And guys are wearing short shorts?

It's about time someone addresses the cultural differences between the USA and Europe!

After just finishing a 6-week Eurotrip -- I've now spent more than 1 year of my life in Europe, and visited every single country on the continent (yes, all 45 countries!)

While many things are similar between American and European culture, there are plenty of little (and BIG) differences that I'd like to bring to your attention in this video!

It took me 6 weeks of compiling this footage, writing this script, and editing this video... so I hope you like it! And if you enjoy, please share with your friends :)

Living In Germany - Christmas in Germany Vs USA

Living In Germany. In this video I explain Christmas in Germany vs Christmas in USA. In short German Christmas explained with the German Christmas traditions such as Christkindlmarkt aka Christmas Market. Christkindlmarkt is an part of German Christmas tradition. The Christkindlmarkt welcomes the celebration of the Christmast season aka Weinachten Zeit. There so many lovely Christmas traditions in Germany which also include Advent, Plätzchen, Glühwein,Nikolaus, Krampus, Weinachtsmann, Christkind, all compared to how its celebrated in USA with Christmas cookies, Christmas dinner, and Santa Claus. My favorite Christkindlmarkt is in Regensburg called Romantischer Christkindlmarkt and also Christkindlmarkt in Salzburg. Weinachts zeit is my favorite time of year. Germany Christmas is the most wonderful feeling. I am happy to share this with you all. I apologize if I am missed on something necessary in the video. Please feel free to leave a comment. I love Germany and I love Christmas in Germany. I would love to learn more about Christmas in Germany

CicLAvia #Bicycle Ride Event Venice Boulevard - Happy #EarthDay - #VeniceBeach, CA USA California ????

CicLAvia #Bicycle Ride Event Venice Boulevard - Happy #EarthDay - #VeniceBeach, CA USA California ???? April 21, 2024

Danny Slant rides his bicycle in the CicLAvia Bicycle Ride Event on Sunday April 21, 2024. in Venice Beach California USA along Venice Boulevard ... New to CicLAvia??
Here are some things to know before you go:
CicLAvia is FREE!
CicLAvia lasts from 9am to 4pm.
CicLAvia closes streets to car traffic and opens them for people to walk, skate, bike, play, and explore parts of Los Angeles County.
CicLAvia is not a race! There's no starting point or finish line—begin where you like and enjoy the day your way.
CicLAvia traffic flows in two directions, just like regular traffic. Check out more rules of the route.
As a general rule of thumb, only people-powered vehicles are allowed, with exceptions for persons with disabilities. That means we do not allow electric scooters, electric skateboards, hoverboards, electric unicycles, motorcycles and other non-people-powered vehicles, but we do allow motorized wheelchairs and related vehicles for people with disabilities. We want to make sure that everyone can enjoy our route.
Are e-bikes allowed? Class 1 e-bike pedal-assist allowed. Class 2 e-bikes allowed when throttle is powered off. Class 3 e-bikes allowed when pedal-assist is powered off. Learn more here. General rule of thumb: if you're pedaling (and not riding), you're clear.
As consideration for being allowed to participate in a CicLAvia, all participants are deemed to have released from liability and waived any right to sue its organizers, their employees, officers, volunteers and agents from any and all claims, including claims of negligence, resulting in any physical injury, illness (including death) or economic loss suffered as a result of participating in this CicLAvia.
By participating in a CicLAvia event, each participant understands that there are risks, such as physical and/or psychological injury, pain, suffering, illness, disfigurement, temporary or permanent disability, death or economic loss. These injuries or outcomes may arise from a participant’s or other’s actions, inactions, or negligence, or the condition of the location (s) or facility (ies). Nonetheless, participants assume all known and unknown risks of participation in CicLAvia.

We'll be taking over the internet when this goes viral! Enjoy. Thanks!!!! Diky Dekuji Moc!!
