Popular Holiday Destination of Kalkan, Mediterranean Coast, Turkey
Charming and Pretty Coastal Resort on the Mediterranean near Kas. Stunning views of the bay as you arrive via the coastal route between Fethiye and Kas. A car is advisable to get here if you are an independent traveller but worth it as the drive from Fethiye is interesting with several places to see and do on route. The twisting, winding coastal road from Patara is the 'interesting' part.
Kalkan is so pretty with its old shops down narrow and sometimes steep streets. A small but beautiful beach and lots of harbour side restaurants. if you love fresh fish you cant go wrong here.

We had an epic view of Turkey’s Turquoise Coast, and prices were way cheaper in this town than in Antalya, Turkey or Kas, Turkey - which is Kalkan’s sister town. I highly recommend checking it out if you’re looking for the best bang for your buck in this area.
If you search for a Kalkan apartment on Airbnb and find a host named Mustafa (he has several properties), he is one of the best friendliest hosts ever.
