Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” and taking more trips together and finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and travel hacking over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left January 10, 2016. We started this YouTube channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling. So we extended our 1 year trip to THREE years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before Nate turns 30 (which is March 20, 2019)! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

Work & Travel: 4 Things to Do Before You Leave for Vacation

Heading out of the office and onto your vacation is a great feeling. Here we give you four tips for making leaving the office easier and getting back to the grind after time away a bit more bearable.

#1. Set up your autoreply on your work email so clients and collegues know when you are away and when you will get back.

#2. Set up someone to cover for you while you are gone. This should be written down and duties assigned to avoid any misunderstandings.

#3. Do not plan any big meetings on your first day back. If your flight is delayed or you just have jet lag your first day back can be a bit stressful. Focus on getting caught up and back to speed and have your meetings set for the 2nd day you are back.
#4. Give yourself a buffer day. This is coming home one day early from your vacation so you can relax, unpack, do laundry, adjust for jet lag and get back to work ready to work.

How Does Savings Account Interest Work?

At its simplest, interest is the cost of borrowing money. Generally, you’ll pay interest to borrow money, and you can collect interest when you lend money. When you deposit money in a savings account, you are in essence lending a bank money and will earn interest on that money. Explore our video overview on how interest works on savings accounts. MORE INFO ABOUT THE VIDEO ????
⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯
Spain is a complex country! It’s also a pretty easy going one. But there are certain things that you just don’t want to get wrong. And here they are!

11. Don’t go OTT on please and thank you.
In Spanish we just don’t use the words as much. We are more likely to work ‘please’ and ’thank you’ into the tone of how we speak, or by tweaking the words (such as adding “ito” to the end of a word).

10. Don’t put bread on your plate.
In Spain, you always leave your bread beside your plate on the table. It sites beside your cutlery, because it kind of is a piece of cutlery.

9. Don’t eat with your hand under the table.
I grew up with no elbows on the table. But here in Spain we also have the rule that you should have your hands above the table at all times. Because you might have a knife??

8. Don’t offer guests a beer at 5pm
Because we eat lunch and dinner later, beer o’clock is usually about 8pm… not 5pm.

7. Don’t help with the dishes after parties.
It’s just not something that’s done here. At the end of a party or dinner party, you might help tidy up slightly, but you don’t help do the dishes.

6. Don’t be a ‘pesado’ in social situations.
Chill out! Don’t ask people what their job is straight away when you meet them in a social setting and don’t expect people to cut to the chase when telling a story - we take our time here!

5. Don’t misinterpret loud conversations.
When Yoly speaks with her mother on the phone, it can get heated. But they’re not arguing - it’s just that conversations here often sound more intense.

4. Don’t generalise about Spain.
This is a highly regional country. So don’t assume that every region of Spain has the same language, customs or food.

3. Don’t call Catalan a dialect of Spanish.
Catalan is its own language - and don’t get that wrong (especially when speaking to a Catalan)

2. Don’t used ‘usted’ willy nilly.
Here in Spain we’re pretty informal and so don’t use “usted” unless we’re speaking with older people or in very formal situations.

1. Don’t mention the civil war casually.
The Spanish civil war and the dictatorship is a really complex topic, and still an open wound in Spain. So wait until you know someone pretty well before diving into the topic.

WHO ARE WE? ????
⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯

What I Do for Work: 6-Day Business Trip

A lot of people wonder if I ever work on my business trips, since all I ever post are fun adventures on YouTube and beautiful scenery on Instagram. So I vlogged my entire business trip to the South.

I'm really proud of the sunrise run at 3:05, so if you only watch one part of this video, let that be it. If you watched the whole video, write your favorite color in the comments below.

You'll see there's a lot of repetition. It basically goes like this:
1. Find the store
2. Observe and train
3. Find food
4. Train the rest of the day
5. Instagram mission
6. Find more food
7. Sleep
8. Repeat

I used lots of music. It's all royalty free from YouTube's Audio Library.

Do Ketones ACTUALLY Work??

YOU NEED MONEY TO BE VEGAN - What Do I Do for Work?

Some seem to have the impression that a vegan diet, raw food, plant-based meals, or simply eating healthy requires having a large bank account. Here I talk about some of the reasons we have come to think this way - an irony considering that the original peasant diet is a meat-free one. Back in the day, meat was meant for the rich, it was the poor who were left to dine on grains and vegetables. Today we are seeing veganism grow in popularity. With the rise of social media there has been more coverage of this diet, but it’s a curated coverage. The images that seem to generate the most likes are those that have been well manicured - an abundance of perfect food, in an exotic setting, and taken with a professional camera. No wonder why people start to think of veganism as only being afforded by the wealthy.

I also answer a FAQ about what I personally do for work outside of being a Youtuber. I combine both conventional, daytime active income with more unconventional, entrepreneurial passive income to keep things fresh and consistent for myself. I enjoy having a variety of projects to foster my creativity, relationships and general personal growth.
