Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment.
We discovered the world of “travel hacking” while planning our honeymoon & became addicted ;)
So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world.
Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went back home to “normal life.” We started this channel to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with living on the road and found a new passion for capturing our travels through video. So we did everything we could to keep going.
4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to ;) Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time!
After ~2 years of van life, we are back to full time international traveling! And now we are finding the best adventures the world has to offer :)
We are incredibly grateful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. ???????????? Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey!

Our Story-
Late at night after the kids were in bed I would search the internet for answers. My heart was breaking! Our marriage was falling apart due to addiction and codependency. I just wanted to hear that there was hope!
I found some hope in the AA and Al-anon literature but nothing for the whole family. My children were hurting too. How did I help them? How did I share hope and strength with them?
That is our joyous mission with this channel, to share our experience strength and hope as a family in recovery from life's hurts, habits and hang-ups.
It was not easy, we cried, struggled, went to meeting and sought lots of help.
As a family we believe you are fearfully and wonderfully made to experience great joy and love. After struggling for years with exhausting addictions our journey took a turn toward JOY! How?

Shark Tank at Ripley's Aquarium - Did You Know?
Jennifer Emanuel, a Marina Educator at Ripley's Aquarium in Myrtle Beach, takes us on a behind-the-scenes tour of their Shark Tank.
Sleeping Overnight at the National Aquarium!
July 7th, 2023, I went on an overnight sleepover to the National Aquarium in Baltimore, Maryland!
I had bought my ticket about two weeks in advance, which cost $125 per person.
For the overnight stay, we each brought a sleeping bag, I brought a blanket, Subret brought a pillow, and a backpack we both shared to put our toiletries, pajamas, and waterbottles in.
The tour started at 6:30 p.m., giving us a private tour of the whole aquarium except for one exhibit, a nighttime snack of rice krispies, a behind the scenes walk on a bridge over the shark tank, lights out at 10:00 p.m., a wake up call at 6:30 a.m., breakfast at 7:00 a.m., and a special surprise visit to the dolphins until our time was done at 9:00 a.m. We had free re-entry for the rest of the day because of the stamp we received on our hands the night before when we started our overnight stay.
Lockers are provided in case you want to store your stuff while visiting. Small lockers are $5 and large ones are $8. You need to store your own stuff for the sleepover in your own personal vehicle, however, or carry it.
Sleepovers only happen every Friday to Saturday.
[Pingtung屏东] I Slept in the Tunnel of Taiwan's Biggest Aquarium 夜宿海生馆
Personal favorite of my Taiwan's itinerary is this one-day packed sleepover package at the National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium in Pingtung, Taiwan.
Eye-opening experience to tour the aquarium at night, watch the behavior of corals and fish without lights, sleeping in a tunnel surrounded by sharks and stingrays and many more!
