Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” and taking more trips together and finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and travel hacking over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this YouTube channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling. We finally made it... Skylodge Adventure Suites, Peru. We slept on the side of a cliff in a luxury capsule hotel on a mountain. Skylodge is one of the quirkiest hotels (accommodations) in the world. One of the things you need to do in Peru is to stay in Sky Lodge, where you sleep on the side of a mountain in a glass capsule. It was a bucket list item of mine for a very long time, and finally, I got here. Staying at Skylodge Adventure Suites was one of our best things we did in Peru. If you find yourself around Cusco, specifically in Ollantaytambo in The Sacred Valley of Peru, then come see Skylodge. You'll see 4 or 5 capsules hanging on the side of a mountain very high up. Let's take a drone up if we can. First, you have to do some rock climbing to get there. Sky Lodge is a group of transparent luxury capsules that hang from the top of a mountain in The Sacred Valley. Natura Vive hosts Skylodge Adventure Suites, one of the top things to do in Peru. Tonight we're sleeping on the side of a cliff. Watch to see what happens. Peru's DEADLIEST hotel room - Why do people stay here?
We spent 24 hours in a HANGING capsule hotel and is was terrifying! These capsule hotels, hanging capsule hotel, hanging pods, tiny hotel rooms are a once in a lifetime stay! We've never had to climb to our hotel rooms before! 20 minute ferrata and we were up!
Located an hour a half away from Cusco city in Peru the Starlodge Adventure Suites allow you to spend a night in a hanging pod at 2900 meters above sea level with one of the best views of Inca’s Sacred Valley. However if you're afraid of heights like our Craig, this may be terrifying for you!
Owned by the company Natura Vive the pod also come with:
A high tub (hot tubs high up - makes sense!) We got to enjoy an open-air bath inside an Onsen-type wooden tub surrounded by the splendid view of the Sacred Valley.
A Double bed and two singles.
A 3 course meal and (not so) private bathroom with the world's greatest view (from a loo)
Breakfast in the morning.
All safety gear to get you up and down in one piece.
It'll set you back around £350pp (without the zipline experience) but it's a once in a lifetime experience, you can not miss!

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment. We discovered the world of “travel hacking” & became obsessed. So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world. Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went home to “normal life.” We started this travel vlog to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with this lifestyle and did everything we could to keep going. 4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to ;) Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time. Van life was a major adjustment and so different than flying every week like we were used to, but we are incredibly thankful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. ????????????

Who are We?
Celeste grew up in Louisville, Kentucky and I in New Oxford, Pennsylvania. We started dating at Penn State in 2011. We got engaged at the end of 2017, married in 2019, and we both love seeing new places, meeting new people, and having new experiences.

Continuing with Natura Vive´s philosophy of sharing a mountain experience with people of all ages and capacities, in June of 2013 we opened the unique and first ever hanging lodge in the world, The Skylodge Adventure Suites.
The Natura Vive Skylodge is composed of three exclusive capsule Suites with a total capacity of 8 people. Our vertically hanging transparent capsule suites are situated at the top of our 1200 ft mountain with a 300 degree view of the majestic Sacred Valley. Hand crafted out of aerospace aluminum and weather resistant polycarbonate, each suite comes complete with four beds, a dinning area and a private bathroom .
Measuring 24 ft. in length and 8 ft. in height and width, the capsule suites are composed of six windows and four ventilation ducts that ensure a comfortable atmosphere. Safety is insured by having the exit portal located in the upper part of the craft.
