Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the #travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this #travelvlog to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! In this USA vanlife vlog, we overcome the challenges and finally end up buying a vintage camper van in the USA (aka our holiday home on wheels). Buying a vehicle in America as a tourist was not easy but we managed to find some hacks which made the process a lot quicker and easier!
We are now the proud owners of two camper vans: one is located in the UK for Europe van life adventures... and the other is now in the USA ready for our Great American Road Trip to begin!
The rules around buying vehicles in the US as a tourist are different everywhere, so if you're thinking of doing the same as us, just be sure to check out what is required from your relevant State.

Did we make a mistake going from a small RV to an even smaller van??? We have been fascinated by the Class B RV Vans since we started searching for a motorhome... but a wetbath was something I (Alisa) didn't want to deal with! Well, I am over it and we made the move!!
We were in Tuscon and decided to take a look at the RV dealerships... just for fun... and found the perfect van for us! It is the Winnebago Travato 59K, and we love it! So now, we have the challenge of downsizing our stuff to make everything we need for RV life fit in our new van!

We bought a Japanese van + driving on the left side!! (GUESS HOW CHEAP IT WAS)
Although our initial thoughts of traveling in Japan were flooded with speed trains (Shinkansen) and public transportation, we've quickly come to learn that in order to get to more outdoor adventure prefectures, you are going to want to drive. In today's video, we share with you a bit of our vehicle hunting experience and give you a quick tour of our new ride. Probably the biggest surprise to us is the affordability of used vehicles in Japan! We were blown away to hear the prices of many of the cars we tested out.

In this USA travel vlog we continue our search for the perfect American campervan to use as our new holiday home on wheels. After beginning our RV search in NYC with no luck, we decided to expand our search to other states and by doing so we found 3 potential new camper vans. In this video we check out a self-converted short schoolbus, send out a mobile mechanic to New Hampshire to check out another lead and do a video van tour with a reputable dealer in Michigan. Eventually, finding the perfect van for us!

We Bought A Van! :: Sprinter Crew Van 170 4x4
After some careful contemplation we decided that that Sprinter 4x4 was the right van for us. We went back to the dealership and drove her home. Here is the story.

Deciding which van is best for van life can feel a bit overwhelming. Do you go for a cute and compact MWB or larger LWB and what exactly do those random letters even mean?? This was how we felt when we first started looking to buy a van! So how to choose a van for van life? Choosing the right van for you is a really personal thing. We made a list of the vans that we liked and then went to look at a bunch of them before deciding on a long wheel base Mercedes Sprinter van.

We are Sally and Ed and up until recently we were travelling the world and sharing our adventures here on YouTube ✈️ Since 2020 has taken a turn for the unexpected, and we can't travel overseas right now, we decided that we would take this opportunity to explore more of our beautiful home country Australia. It's always been a dream of ours to road trip around the big loop of Aus in a camper van ???? so we took the plunge a couple of months ago and bought ourselves a 2015 Mercedes Sprinter which we are currently self converting into a tiny home on wheels so we can start #vanlife ????
