A Morning Walk Through a Liberian Village
An average walk on my way to school every morning. I just threw my phone in my shirt pocket and pressed record, so sorry the quality ain't so great.
Village Walkthrough, Liberia
This is a quick tour of the villages, Boi Town and Kpellemue, which are nearest to Gbanga city in Bong County. This was at the end of my stay, and I planned it so that it was midday when people would be working and I wouldn't be ransacked by each and every villager eager to say hi.
From village to village it's about a 15 minute walk, but I've condensed it. Along the way I point out a few key people and places that were important during my stay. You'll also notice me repeating the same several phrases - I had the greetings down pretty well, as well as commonly used items for me like cutlass and country axe, but beyond that I pathetically defected to English. Needless to say it led to some interesting, if frustrating, conversations.

This Bird Tree was right next to the house in Pleebo City during my trip there. My intention was to record the birds but realized during playback that the other sounds of the city was pleasing and figure it would be nostalgic to those from Maryland County in particular and Liberia in general or anyone who loves nature.
The video is shaky but with your eyes closed, you will find it very relaxing.
