The African Tower of Terror is the most fearsome roller coaster I have ever been on. It is known as the most forceful of any roller coasters with the world's highest G-force, however this was before the present state of the ride. The mine tower is a genuine structure from an old African gold mine.

What's going on guys and welcome back to the channel! A couple videos ago, I released an analysis on a coaster called Anaconda at Gold Reef City, and it seemed to do pretty well amongst those of you that watched it. This then inspired me to do some further research into its park and other attractions, and what I found left me quite baffled and surprised. Just a 5-minute walk from Anaconda, sits perhaps one of the most mysterious coasters I've ever encountered whilst I've been an enthusiast. From an unknown manufacturer, this over a 100 foot tall, 90-degree drop, world record holder, has been in operation since 2001, and is often regarded as one of the most intense coasters still in operation today. But what is this coaster, and where did it come from? This is the story, of Gold Reef City's, Tower of Terror! ????????

Gold Reef City is an amusement park in Johannesburg, South Africa. Located on an old gold mine which closed in 1971, the park is themed around the gold rush that started in 1886 on the Witwatersrand, the buildings on the park are designed to mimic the same period. There is a museum dedicated to gold mining on the grounds where it is possible to see a gold-containing ore vein and see how gold is poured into barrels. And multiple shops around the park can be located. There are many attractions at Gold Reef City, including water rides, roller coasters and the famous Gold Reef City Casino. Gold Reef City is located to the south of the Central Business District off of the M1. It is also the site of the Apartheid Museum.

4K | Best African Theme Park: Gold Reef City Johannesburg
In autumn 2016 I visited Gold Reef City, the largest best theme park of the African continent. The park is located on an old gold mine in Joahnnesburg in South Africa next to the Gold Reef City Casino and the Apartheid museum. The attractions include the Tower of Terror, a unique vertical drop roller coaster, the inverted coaster Anaconda and the Golden Loop launched shuttle looping coaster.

Gold Reef City Theme Park was an absolute blast!!!
Based in the heart of Johannesburg, you will find an adrenaline filled destination tucked away discretely that is filled with activities for all ages of your family.
We managed to get through quit a few rides in the 36 degree heat and standing in lines for more than 30 minutes for each ride. It was most definitely worth the wait. The theme park takes you on a history tour of the origins of Gold Mining in South Africa. With a variety of food options to choose from your taste buds will thank you too.
If you've been thinking about spending an adventurous day out with the family I highly recommend visiting this Theme Park.
