In March 2017, Rick and Andrea (confessed Travel Addicts) started a Facebook Group called Travel Addicts as a way to share their travel photos and videos not just with their own respective friend's lists – but with the world. We are so excited to share one of the most beautiful spots in all of Italy - the Cinque Terre! We did a Cinque Terre day trip from Florence, and we answer the ~burning~ question of 'is it worth it?' (spoiler: yes!) We took a train from Florence to La Spezia to the Cinque Terre. While it's quite the trek, the journey is just as important as the destination :)
We had just ONE DAY to explore Cinque Terre! While we think Cinque Terre deserves much more than just one day, that's all we had this visit and we tried to do and see as much as possible! We share what we think YOU should do (and not do!) if you only have a day in Italy's 5 picturesque towns.
We visit 3 of the 5 towns - Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, and Manarola. We were planning on visiting Riomaggiore, but the train was delayed and we sadly had to miss it. We really had a great time in the towns we were able to visit - wandering through cobblestone alleys, climbing to gorgeous views, and just soaking in the Italian sea air.

We took a day trip to Cinque Terre and visited all five villages! It was a long day, but if you only have time for a day trip we cannot recommend it enough. We wish we could've spent a few days in this area. We had a great time hiking, eating pesto pasta for lunch and seeing Cinque Terre from the water. We ended our night at Mercato Centrale Firenze. #italy #cinqueterre

HIKING CINQUE TERRE: Visiting All 5 of the Famous Italian Villages
We recently took a 6-week trip to Europe, and the highlight was definitely hiking Cinque Terre!
With three nights and two full days, we managed to hike between all five of the famous Italian coastal villages. Part of the Blue Path has closed due to landslides a few years ago, but it's still possible to complete the hike by going uphill a bit.
