10 Best Places to Visit in Brazil - Travel Video

Check out all the places seen in this video:

Famous for being home to one of the world’s top football teams, the Rio de Janeiro Carnival and the remarkable Iguazu Falls, Brazil is an exciting world travel destination. As South America’s largest country, Brazil covers a majority of the continent’s northeastern region and borders all of its countries except for Chile and Ecuador. From the Amazon rainforest in the North to the tropical beaches along the Atlantic, to the Pantanal wetlands and the vibrant metropolises of the Southeast there are plenty of interesting places to visit in Brazil.

Visit Sao Paulo - The DON'Ts of Sao Paulo, Brazil

Visiting Sao Paulo, Brazil, whether for work or play can be extremely rewarding with amazing museums and shopping, but there are a few things you should not do when you go to Sao Paulo. This video covers the Don'ts of Visiting Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Filmed in Sao Paulo State, Brazil
Copyright Mark Wolters 2017
1. Don't expect to get anywhere quickly in Sao Paulo. With so many people, cars and craziness it will take you longer than what google says it will to get anywhere.
2. Don't skip the Mercado Municipal! This Sao Paulo tradition is amazing. From amazing fruit to the best bologna or sorry Mortadella sandwich you ever ate.
3. Don't skip out on eating non-Brazilian food while in Sao Paulo. There are tons of amazing places, foods, restaurants and styles for you to enjoy!
4. Don't lose your wits. Pay attention! Sao Paulo has a reputation for crime for a reason.
5. Don't expect a beach vacation. Sao Paulo is not a Brazilian beach city, it is a cultural, shopping, museum, business hub for South America.

10 Things No One Told You Before Coming to Brazil

Brazil has long been associated with exotic images. That is why you would find it on many people’s bucket lists. However, reports of drug-related and other kinds of criminality have not escaped the attention of international media. Consequently, travelers are left perplexed. They are attracted on one hand by the fun and exotic views and picturesque of the tropical location. On the other hand, they are worried about being victimized in a hazardous country. For that reason, most tourists are uncertain as to what they should or shouldn't do while in Brazil. They probably were not told the real dos and don’ts will make them enjoy the country. Here are 10 things no one told you before coming to Brazil.
1. Don’t be too trusting. Many people would try to take advantage of good-natured tourists
As one of the least safe countries in South America, Brazil has a horrible reputation for violence, crime, and the large number of murders committed there. Although these numbers are accurate in certain cases, the truth behind them is connected to do the illegal operations of gangs that are based far away from tourist sites.
Brazil is generally safe for travelers and tourists. Of course, there are reports of non-violent pickpocketing or muggings. However, in the vast majority of cases, tourists don’t have to worry about these. Still, you may not be advised to take preventive measures in major urban areas like Salvador, Recife, and Rio de Janeiro. Meanwhile, you need to do this and secure your belongings.
2. Always carry your photo ID
Most credit card companies recommend that IDs should be checked. Though most retailers don’t ask, you will still be using your credit cards a lot. I would predict that one in every twenty retailers will want to see your ID before accepting your credit card. The fact that you will be carrying a xerox copy of your passport should make this an insignificant issue. Also, if you intend to obtain a Brazilian SIM card for your cell phone, you will be required to provide identification.
3. Don’t shy away from new foods.
Recipes abound in Brazil and much of it seems strange to foreigners. Yet, almost all of it is delicious. Slaves brought from Africa, indigenous peoples, Europeans, South Americans, and Asian countries have all had a significant impact on Brazilian cuisine since the Portuguese colonization of the country in the 16th century. Following the abolition of the slave trade, Brazil began recruiting Europeans and Japanese immigrants to work on the coffee plantations. Today, Brazil is home to the world's biggest group of Japanese descendants outside of Japan numbering over 1.6 million.
Although many people are unfamiliar with the Portuguese language, Brazilian cuisine is sure to delight everyone. Brazilian cuisine has become both accessible and acceptable to a wide range of palates because it combines rich ingredients and diverse cultural influences. To outsiders, it may initially appear a little strange, but they are simply incredible.

YOU CAN'T MISS VISITING BRAZIL'S MEGACITY | Top Attractions of São Paulo

São Paulo is on another level of being a 'busy city'. It currently has the largest population in all the America's and is definitely one of the most visited places in all of South America. It can feel overwhelming when you first arrive here, but I hope my video will help you learn about some of the most popular districts of the city, where might be a good area to get your accommodation and some other suggestions of attractions to see, places to eat at and just some general information of things you should know about the city. SafetyWing (best for younger travelers + digital nomads):

*I use both of these companies depending on the destination and requirements of entry. If you are going to be abroad for a long time and/or don't need as much coverage, I would recommend SafetyWing. BUT you cannot purchase SafetyWing WHILE in Canada or USA. You can only purchase once already abroad. Hey Mondo is more expensive but offers a higher level of coverage including plans that have trip cancellation/interruption insurance. Hey Mondo would be the better insurance to use if you need travel medical insurance when applying for a visa. Both companies cover covid. I am an affiliate for both companies, but I pay for my own policies.*

8 CRAZY reasons why we live in Brazil - The TRUTH from Americans 2022!!

Number 7 is life changing! The question almost every single Brazilian asks us is “What are you doing here!?” In this video we will be answering this question.

1. Brazil is the most beautiful country in the world.

2. Brazilian people are wonderful.

3. Kids are bilingual. Research shows that learning a second language boosts problem-solving, critical-thinking, and listening skills, in addition to improving memory, concentration, and the ability to multitask. Children proficient in other languages also show signs of enhanced creativity and mental flexibility.

4 Free public healthcare.

5. Cost of living.

6. Exposing our children to a new culture.

7. It’s affordable to have a maid.

8. Lots of opportunity for business.

This is why we love Brazil and continue to live here. We could go back to the states anytime. We choose to live here because we have a great life with a lot of unique experiences and opportunities.
