01. Red Rock State Park
A state park featuring a red sandstone canyon outside the city of Sedona. The main mission of this day-use park is the preservation of the riparian habitat along Oak Creek. Serves as an environmental education facility for the public and for school or private groups, and provides limited passive recreational opportunities.

02. Oak Creek Canyon
A river gorge located in northern Arizona between the cities of Flagstaff and Sedona. The canyon is often described as a smaller cousin of the Grand Canyon because of its scenic beauty. About 12 miles (19 km) long, ranging in width from 0.8 to 2.5 miles (1.3 to 4.0 km). The depth of the canyon ranges from 800 to 2,000 feet (240 to 610 m).

03. Slide Rock State Park
A state park of Arizona, USA, taking its name from a natural water slide formed by the slippery bed of Oak Creek. There are three hiking trails in Slide Rock State Park: Pendley Homestead Trail (.25 miles), Slide Rock Route (.3 miles), and Clifftop Nature Trail (.25). Slide Rock State Park attracted 254,584 visitors in 2005 and is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Arizona.

04. Chapel of the Holy Cross
A Roman Catholic chapel built into the buttes of Sedona, Arizona, run by the Diocese of Phoenix, as a part of St. John Vianney Parish in Sedona. In 2007, Arizonans voted the Chapel to be one of the Seven Man-Made Wonders of Arizona, and it is also the site of one of the so-called Sedona vortices.

05. Cathedral Rock
A famous landmark on the Sedona. One of the most-photographed sights in Arizona. Is carved from the Permian Schnebly Hill formation, a redbed sandstone formed from coastal sand dunes near the shoreline of the ancient Pedregosa Sea. Ripple marks are prominent along the lower Cathedral Rock trail, and a black basalt dike may be seen in the first saddle.

06. Bell Rock
A butte, composed of horizontally bedded sedimentary rock of the Permian Supai Formation. A popular tourist attraction just north of the Village of Oak Creek, Arizona. Has an elevation at its summit of 4,919 feet (1,499 m).

07. Honanki
A cliff dwelling and rock art site located in the Coconino National Forest. The Sinagua people of the Ancient Pueblo Peoples, and ancestors of the Hopi people, lived here from about 1100 to 1300 CE. Was one of the largest prehistoric pueblos in the Verde Valley.

08. Courthouse Butte
A butte just north of the Village of Oak Creek. Geologically, Courthouse Butte is composed of horizontally bedded sedimentary rock of the Permian Supai Formation. Summit elevation is 5,440 feet (1,660 m).

09. Sycamore Canyon
The second largest canyon in the Arizona redrock country. The 21-mile (34 km) long scenic canyon reaches a maximum width of about 7 miles (11 km). One of the oldest designated Wilderness Areas in Arizona, originally being a Forest Service Primitive Area prior to the Wilderness Act of 1964.

10. Seven Canyons
Golf facility. Located on 200 stunningly beautiful acres in Sedona, Seven Canyons represents an opportunity of a lifetime for members and owners seeking premier relaxation, unparalleled golf and limitless outdoor activities.

Our top things to do in Sedona, Arizona: Hiking trails, shopping, visits | Things to see in Sedona

Sedona, Arizona is an absolutely magical place with amazing red rock formations. We escaped there for a couple of days of hiking, relaxing, and exploring.

In this video, we feature some of Sedona's best hiking trails. Hiking in Sedona is one of the main activities. Yavapai Vista is our favorite hiking trail to watch the sunset in Sedona as the sun light goes up on some of Sedona's most beautiful red rock formations, such as Courthouse Butte and Wilson Mountain. The Hiline Trail leads to Cathedral Rock, one of Sedona's landmark rock formations. the Doe Mountain Trail is one of Sedona's out-of-the-beaten-path hiking trails with a view of Sedona that is not as common.

We also did some shopping in Sedona and strolled around Tlaquepaque Shopping Mall. Tlaquepaque is Sedona's outdoor shopping mall and features lots of cool souvenir stores, art galleries, and local artisans.

Finally, you can't visit Sedona without going to the Chapel of the Holy Cross, one of Sedona's landmarks. From there, you have beautiful views of Sedona including Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte.

Finally, we did a two-day trip to Grand Canyon and did a portion of Route 66.

🇺🇸 SEDONA, ARIZONA: Pink Jeep Tour to Red Rock Park 🇺🇸 🚗 | TRAVEL VLOG #0008

Sedona, Arizona: Pink Jeep Tour to Red Rock Park | TRAVEL VLOG

In Sedona, one of the most enjoyable things we did was the Pink Jeep Tour to Diamondback Gulch and the 700-800 year old Honanki Ruins in Coconino National Forest. We were able to get within arm's reach of the ruins, and our Pink Jeep guide was clearly a lover of the ancient site, imparting lots of his knowledge of both the ruins and the local flora and fauna as he took us through the forest and near the ruins.

Fasten your seatbelts! Its gonna be a bumpy ride!

Sedona Arizona Travel, The Red Rock Country

Please watch: Nature From Above I Dji Mavic Pro Footage
--~--
Visit Sedona Arizona Usa, The Red Rock Country.
Start with scenery that makes your heart leap. Sedona nestles among a geological wonderland. Multi-hued stone formations jut upwards from the high desert floor creating a vivid, mesmerizing setting that changes hourly with the light. When USA Weekend compiled their Most Beautiful Places in America list, Sedona claimed the top spot.
Surrounded by 1.8 million acres of national forest land, visitors have instant access to recreational activities. Trails for hiking and biking, along with bouncy jeep tracks, weave among the bristling forest of pinnacles, spires, buttes and domes. Yet, you’re never far from the indulgences of town.
Sedona is equal parts rugged, equal parts resort. Regarded by Native Americans as sacred, Sedona continues to be recognized as a place of healing and spiritual renewal. Many come to experience the vortex energy centers of Sedona. Others want to prowl the 40-plus art galleries lining the streets, or to receive soothing treatments from the dozens of spa facilities. Most recently, with its nearby vineyards and tasting rooms, Sedona has emerged as a destination for wine enthusiasts.

Sedona Arizona | The Most Beautiful Place on Earth?

The city of Sedona, Arizona claims to be The Most Beautiful Place on Earth, and we just had to check it out for ourselves.

Sedona is located about 2 hours North of the Phoenix, Arizona area and has a slightly cooler climate than most of its desert neighbors. It is a land of rustic red sandstone found nowhere else on Earth. Many people even claim that there are many Vortices (plural for vortex) surrounding the city area, and that draws a lot of spiritualists to the area.

Archaeologists believe that Sedona has been inhabited for up to 13,000 years by various tribes of people. Some even settled in the area permanently and build dwellings on the sides of the cliffs. You can visit some of those ancient ruins today.

In this video we set out to visit the following locations:
Downtown Sedona
Bell Rock
Red Rock State Park
Coconino National Forest
Honanki Ruins
Chapel on the Rock
Devil's Bridge
Amitabha Stupa Peace Park

Road Trip #13 Red Rock Country - Sedona Arizona

On our way from Flagstaff back to Phoenix, we decided to take the scenic route through Oak Creek Canyon to Sedona and Red Rock Country. Wildfires had been through the area, causing some road closures, so we had to stop at the Oak Creek Canyon viewpoint, turn around and go south on the interstate, then back up to Red Rock Country from the southern side. Still, it was a beautiful day, and beautiful views, so well worth the trip.
