Vintgar Gorge, carved by Radovna River, is located near Gorje, approximately 4 kilometres north-west from Bled.
The gorge has been carved out by the Radovna River, a crystal-clear river that looks emerald green or aqua depending upon the lighting conditions. There is a trail running across the gorge featuring wooden bridges at several points.
If you want some epic insta points this is a must visit for you. Don't worry if you are not an insta freak, you'll enjoy more because you won't waste any time taking pictures ;)

How to Visit Vintgar Gorge in Slovenia
How to plan your visit to Vintgar Gorge in Slovenia and get tickets under a reservation system that promotes sustainable tourism.
Lea Petek of the Vintgar Gorge Tourism Authority explains why reservations are needed to keep the gorge from being overwhelmed by crowds. The walkways and bridges along the Vintgar gorge are now one-way, which means visitors will have to be prepared for a more challenging mountain hike to return to the starting point.
See the stunning beauty of the Vintgar Gorge, only 4 km from Lake Bled in Slovenia. It's also an easy day trip from Ljubljana. But make a reservation, or you'll be turned away in the parking lot!
Please note that the Vintgar Gorge is closed to the public in the winter.

Vintgar Bled Full Tour Slovenia
Must-see place if visiting Slovenia! Full Tour in this Gorgeous gorge with a spectacular path which leads you 1.6 km along the river ends with beautiful Šum waterfall 23:12.
if you want to watch the video in a short time Youtube give you the option to increase the video speed - click on 3 dots top right and then choose “Playback Speed”
10€ for entrance per person and 5€ parking was absolutely fair for a place that is maintained this well. Being able to walk inside this canyon is absolutely amazing! Make sure to wear proper clothes especially shoes as the path is slippery, walking back to the parking place takes around 1h with the shortest path. There might be a long queue depending on the time of your arrival so I'd recommend to buy the entrance tickets online.
Vintgar is located Half hour drive from bled, you should drive all the way to the main parking lot right next to the gorge.

You can print or open the ticket on your phone and scan the QR code upon entry. When buying a ticket online, you must choose the time and day of the tour. Be sure to stick to your chosen date, as the number of tickets will be limited in time.
All other tickets are currently only available in the chalet at the entrance to the gorge.

Vintgar Gorge - Bled, Slovenia - Walkthrough, Tips, Directions, and VLOG
The water, the sun, the sky, and the experience will amount to a memory you surely will never forget. This is a serene place with a simplistic hike that is suitable for anyone.
Of my many times to Lake Bled, Slovenia, this is my first to Vintgar Gorge. It is well worth the trip. I am very happy that I was finally able to trek this place. Make sure to buy your tickets ONLINE before you go. It will save you a lot of time!

Do THIS Hike Near Bled! (Pokljuka Gorge vs Vintgar Gorge, Slovenia)
Pokljuka Gorge and Vintgar Gorge are two incredible gorges very close to Bled, Slovenia, and one of them is one of the best hikes we've done in Europe (and yes, we've been to Switzerland!). Get ready for some Bled hiking! Both parks are in the Triglavski National Park.
MISS THE FIRST BLED VIDEO?
We start the day by retrieving the results from a COVID test (I had been nauseous for two days, no other symptoms) before heading to gorgeous Pokljuka Gorge (Pokljuška soteska). The road leading into the parking for Pokljuka Gorge is very narrow - watch out for other cars! You can take the circular trail (Krozna Pot) all around the gorge - there's a short access trail from the parking lot, then watch for the sign where you either turn left or right. Turning right will take you through the cave we went up, and is labeled the Luknja Galerije Zatrnik (longer trail) - it takes about an hour and a half to get to the classroom viewpoint and cave. Turning left follows the shorter trail (Galerije Zatrnik) and is about a half hour. The shorter trail is also the return trail if you take the longer way around. This was an intermediate hike with steep elevation changes and boulders and was about 4.5 miles (7km)
After lunch, we head to Vintgar Gorge (Soteska Vintgar). Parking costs about 5Euro, and entrance fee to the gorge is 10Euro per person (as of September, 2021). This gorge begins with a series of beautiful waterfalls where you walk mainly on boardwalks that overlook the waterfalls. At the end, there's a hut with some snacks, and you exit the main area. In 2021, visiting Vintgar Gorge is traffic controlled and you may only go in one direction. You need to either walk or take a shuttle back. We took the alpine route, which was about an hour and a half - and the valley views were absolutely stunning! Highly recommended to take this path back. Aside from a slight elevation change, this trail was pretty easy.

When we went, due to construction, it was easier to leave our car parked in Lake Bled, and rent bikes for the day. I'd recommend an e-bike to give you a boost going up the hills to Vintgar Gorge. It's only a few miles, and the bike path goes through pretty countryside.
I wish I'd known it was a one-way walking loop down the bridges in the gorge. Make sure you take all of your photos on the way in, because that will be your only chance.
The hike out was longer than expected. A lot of people were struggling, so bring a lot more water than you think you'll need.
Also, make sure to buy your tickets online before your visit so you don't have to wait in the long line to get in.

Vintgar Gorge // Triglav National Park // Slovenia [4k]
Experience the most intact nature of Bled in the first touristically arranged gorge in Slovenia. The Vintgar gorge is 1600 m long and till 250 m deep gorge on the eastern part of Triglav National Park, 4 kilometers northwest from the center of Bled.
The Radovna river cuts the Vintgar gorge deep between the hills of Hom and Boršt. The gorge is flanked by steep slopes overgrown with beech forests. It was discovered in 1891 by Mr. Jakob Žumer, mayor of Gorje, and Mr. Benedikt Lergetporer, a cartographer and photographer from Bled. Both were amazed by the beauty and the mysterious character of this natural attraction. Local people, however, have always viewed the gorge with awe and respect.
In 1893 the gorge was opened to the public. Constructing a secured tourist trail through the wild gorge was a demanding and an extremly dangerous task. The roar of the fettered Radovna river echoes along the 1.600 m long gorge, full of small waterfalls, rapids and erosion potholes where the river briefly slows down its pace. Trails, narrow passages and bridges lead a visitor to the end of the gorge, witch is marked by the magnificiant, 16 m high waterfall Šum, the highest fluvial waterfall in Slovenia.
The Vintgar gorge is closed to public in the winter period.

Just 15 minutes drive from Lake Bled, Vintgar Gorge has to be a top choice for a day out if you're in this area of Slovenia.
The trail is set up and managed very well with great boardwalks and paths guiding you through the amazing scenery.
It's well worth buying your tickets online before hand and arriving early, you'll be able to enjoy the views and take your time with photos.

4K SLOVENIA: Vintgar Gorge walking tour near Lake Bled in Slovenia – Nature Ambiance
Vintgar Gorge, carved by Radovna River, is located near Gorje, approximately 4 kilometres north-west from Bled. The 1.6-kilometre long gorge is carved amidst the glorious vertical walls of Hom and Boršt hills, and it is highlighted by the Radovna River and its waterfalls, pools and rapids. A study trail runs across the gorge and the wooden bridges as well as Žumer galleries, which ends with the mighty 13 metres high Šum river waterfall, one of the three river waterfalls in Slovenia. Vintgar Gorge is the nearest point to entering Triglav National Park from Bled.

Slovenia is an incredible country that I believe deserves more international recognition. I visited Ljubljana, Lake Bohinj, Lake Bled and the Vintgar Gorge. Ljubljana might be my favourite capital city that I have been to so far in Europe. It is very peaceful and aesthetically pleasing. Though the prize for aesthetics over all, would have to go the gorgeous lakes of Slovenia. Bled and Bohinj are breathtaking lakes and the water is extremely clear, perfect for a swim in the summer. Vintgar Gorge is another site worth visiting if you are in Bled. The natural beauty is otherworldly, though at peak season the walk can be busy with tourists.

Exploring LAKE BLED and hiking VINTGAR GORGE in ONE DAY! (Is this the PRETTIEST PLACE IN SLOVENIA?)
On this episode of Mapping It, we spend the day exploring Lake Bled, Slovenia, and hiking Vintgar Gorge.
We begin with an early morning walk around Lake Bled to enjoy the sunrise. Later in the morning, we hike through Vintgar Gorge and it’s like walking through a magical, mystical, faerie land! After getting thoroughly sunburnt on the walk back to our car, we stop by the Park Hotel on Lake Bled for some delicious Bled Cream Cake, or Kremsnita.
In the afternoon, we take a pletna boat out to explore Bled Island and enjoy some refreshing gelato. By the time we return to Bled town, we haven’t had a decent meal all day and we are showing definite signs of hanger, so we stop for dinner at Ostarija Peglez’n and are wow’d by the food! We try squid stuffed with cheese and ham, and a mixed grilled meat platter, both of which we can highly recommend!
To wrap up our day, we catch the last rays of sunset at Bled Castle with fantastic views overlooking the lake.

Vintgar gorge ||Slovenia||
The Vintgar Gorge or Bled Gorge is a 1.6-kilometer gorge in northwestern Slovenia in the municipalities of Gorje and Bled, four kilometers northwest of Bled. Carved by the Radovna River, it is the continuation of the Radovna Valley. The sheer canyon walls are 50 to 100 meters high, with a total slope measuring about 250 m. The stream has created many erosive features such as pools and rapids and terminates in the picturesque 13 m Šum Falls ( 'noisy falls'), the largest river waterfall in Slovenia.
