Thank you to Ali (Pakistan Travel Market):

Day 4 in Pakistan - Watch the entire series in order here:

Not far from Gujranwala we continued to Kot Yousaf, a small community village, still in Punjab, Pakistan. We were invited by the Bagdi family to enjoy a home cooked local (desi) breakfast - I didn’t know what to expect, but it turned out to be an amazing breakfast where the entire community came together.

But first:

You’ve already heard me saying “desi ghee” many times in previous videos in Pakistan. But desi is commonly used, even for “desi food.” But what does it mean? Here’s the definition:

Desi -
1. local; indigenous
2. unadulterated or pure

When you say desi ghee, it means clarified butter that is locally sourced, and it’s one of the most important ingredients in Punjabi food in Pakistan. It’s used in so many dishes, and it usually comes from buffaloes.

It was an amazing opportunity and experience to watch the community in the village an impressive Punjabi food breakfast. The main dishes we had were a variety of different parathas, chickpeas, and saag - a local wild spinach simmered down, and one of my personal favorite dishes in Pakistan. It was awesome to watch them make the food before we ate, and a huge thank you to all the amazing people who prepared it.

Tent pegging - After breakfast we had the special opportunity to watch tent pegging, a sport where one rides a horse, and spears a peg in the ground while racing by. It’s more than a sport, it’s an art, and it’s been a part of Pakistani culture since ancient times.

Thank you to everyone who hosted me and gave me so much hospitality and generosity. It was an amazing day in Pakistan!

Thank you to Ali (Pakistan Travel Market) and Saim who arranged and planned our day in Gujranwala.

Village food in Pakistan is very delicious, perhaps even more delicious than street food in Pakistan! One of the most unique foods in this food video in Pakistan we tried was the saag spinach and mustard curry combined with the COW DUNG FUEL tandoor oven that cooked the paratha in!

In this village cooking video, Granny is cooking up a ton of local specialties, and we are going for a village tour to see how the locals live! We ride a buffalo, visit the cow dung drying area, and taste some of the local well water!

When we arrived in Saim's family village, one of the things that really struck me is how happy everyone is. The local way of life is very relaxing and calming! We were invited to his home and watched Saim's granny cooking up all of her village secrets! The Pakistani village recipes were amazing to taste! This was the trip of a lifetime!

We watched Saim's granny preparing paratha and also some corn flour paratha, SUPER TASTY chicken curry prepared by granny, and also some amazing desserts too! Watching it all was breathtaking!

INSANE Pakistani Food VILLAGE WEDDING! - 4000 PEOPLE ULTRA RARE + BREAKFAST Street Food in Pakistan

My new blog:
Check out for 3 months free w/ 1 year pack and 49% OFF!
INSANE Pakistani Food Village Food Wedding!!! Today, we're going for an ULTRA RARE Pakistani Village Food WEDDING FEAST!! Our good friend Ali is inviting us DEEP into the outskirts of Islamabad, Pakistan, to a village WEDDING and a HUGE Pakistani Street Food BREAKFAST!!

►The BEST VPNs For China:

Pakistan is an AMAZING country full of delicious Pakistani Street Food and also Pakistani Village Food!! Today, we're driving out to a very special 4000 person Pakistani village wedding.

First, Ali and I are driving out to a local Village outside of Islamabad for a Pakistani street food Breakfast. Here, we found some street side Paratha, Chicken curry, lassi, and a super sweet curd. After tasting this meal, I'm convinced that Street food in Pakistan is some of the BEST in the world!

After that amazing street food breakfast, we're driving even deeper into the countryside for more village food. After some amazing scenery, we arrived at the famous Malik Sahab's home, which was a huge mansion and was a sight to see itself. Malik Sahab invited us out to a huge wedding in a village with 4000 people!

As soon as we arrived at the wedding, we were in awe of the huge size!! There must have been 500 or 1000 tables and a massive tent full of horses dancing and people celebrating. It was a sight to see!

The best part about the Pakistani wedding was the food, all of which was cooked in the back, desi style. It was like upgraded Pakistani street food! All of the dishes cooked for the wedding are common on the streets of Pakistan, but here, upgraded with more flavour and better quality and also much bigger!

The famous street foods of Pakistan were all here, like Chicken biryani with tons of masala and local spices, beef korma with thousands of green chilies and spices, mutton korma with EXTREMELY tender mutton that was worth attending the wedding for, and a super famous Pakistani street food, the halvua semolina pudding, except here, it was UPGRADED with extra nuts like cashews, almonds, and more!! It was fantastic!

And as soon as we made our way into the wedding tend, we witnessed a very special tradition in Pakistani culture, the horse dancing. There must have been 4 or 5 horses all dancing at the same time, bowing to people, and livening the atmosphere.

After this, the huge decks of Pakistani Biryani and beef korma and mutton korma were brought to the back of the tent, where we watched all the action happening, like the scooping of the spicy Pakistani curries into individual portions and served to the thousands of people ready to taste the delicious Pakistani village food wedding feast!!!

There is much more street food in our Pakistani food videos series, get ready for the playlist of a lifetime!!

Street Food in Gilgit + PAKISTANI VILLAGE FOOD | Ultra Happiness in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan!

Thank you to Ali (Pakistan Travel Market):

Thank you to Gilgit Serena Hotel ( for sponsoring our stay.

This video includes Day 9 and 10 of our Pakistani food tour trip (you can watch the entire video series here: I combined the two days because things didn’t work out as planned on Day 9, and so didn’t end up being able to film much. But that’s the way things go sometimes!

So firstly, on Day 9, the plan was to drive from Shigar to to Deosai National Park, and drive all the way through the park to the other side, en-route to Gilgit. Unfortunately it started snowing along the way, and by the time we arrived to the entrance of the park, it was snowing too hard, and it was too risky to proceed. So we turned around and took the long way to Gilgit.

Gilgit, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan - Ok, so now back to today (Day 10) we started the morning with a street food tour of Gilgit. Gilgit is an amazing small town, sort of the gateway of Gilgit Baltistan, and a commerce hub for the region on the Karakoram highway. The town is extremely friendly, and everywhere we went to eat on this small market and street food tour, we were greeted with such friendliness and hospitality.

Kabuli pulao - 140 PKR ($1.04)
Grilled meat - 120 PKR ($0.89)
Curry - 120 PKR ($0.89)

After about an hour eating street food and walking around the market, we continued on to Nizam’s house, which was about a 15 minute drive from the center of Gilgit. Nizam is an employee of Ali, and he graciously invited us to his amazing home in the countryside. The view from the backyard was breathtaking.

We first went to the river valley to pick vegetables where we met Nizam’s father in law, who again may be the happiest man on earth - he was amazing pounding the chilies. We picked vegetables, and just stood in amazement at the natural wonder beauty of Pakistan.

Lunch was incredibly delicious, all the fresh vegetables we picked, plus both mutton and beef curry, with rice and roti. The curries were some of the best I ate in Pakistan, but the fresh mountain vegetables, sauteed down with dried tomato, were the highlight. An incredible meal, really one of the most memorable I had in my entire trip to Pakistan.

Thank you Nizam and family for the amazing meal!

I Tried Village Food in Pakistan... How Was It?

While in a village in Pakistan, I try some local food that's come straight from the nearby farm. It's so pure, it really blew my mind with the freshness and taste. You only find this type of food in villages.

On the menu was the most famous winter dish in Punjab, Sarso Ka Saag Makki Roti (Mustard Leaf Curry with Cornmeal Bread सरसों का साग मक्के की रोटी). Followed by a sweet and spicy chicken curry. On the side were tons of homemade butter for the bread and fresh yoghurt.

Sarso Ka Saag Makki Roti is also eaten across the border in North India too. We eat it in my Wife @ManishaMalikIndia's village during the mustard crop harvesting. It's cooked exactly the same and the taste is the same.

The village location is somewhere near Sahiwal in the providence of Punjab in Pakistan.
