Water Park on a Cruise Ship (Almost)! [Symphony of the Seas Vlog 2]
Welcome to day 2 of our adventure on Royal Caribbean's Symphony of the Seas, the largest cruise ship in the world. We are docked at Nassau, Bahamas but won't be getting off the ship to Atlantis, instead we'll be spending the whole day having water fun on the ship. For those of you who don't know, this ship basically has a water park at sea, with multiple water slides, so many pools and hot tubs, and even a surfing simulator! The ship even has an AquaTheatre where they have insanely epic nighttime shows like Hiro, which will end our night.
We'll also be checking out lunch at Windjammer Marketplace, the ship's big complimentary buffet restaurant option, and having dinner at Jamie's Italian, the premium Italian restaurant from celebrity chef Jamie Oliver (which spoiler alert: might be out favorite place to eat on this ship). And of course we'll do some more exploring and making us of our Ultimate beverage packages. Come with us on this adventure!

what is Halloween ?
Halloween is usually celebrated amongst family, friends and, sometimes, co-workers. However, some areas hold large community events. Parties and other events may be planned on October 31 or in the weekends before and after this date. Adults may celebrate by watching horror films, holding costume parties or creating haunted houses or graveyards.
Many children dress up in fancy costumes and visit other homes in the neighborhood. At each house, they demand sweets, snacks or a small gift. If they do not get this, they threaten to do some harm to the inhabitants of the house. This is known as playing 'trick-or-treat' and is supposed to happen in a friendly spirit, with no nasty or mean tricks being carried out. However, if your children take part, it is important to accompany them and to check their 'treats' to make sure they are safe to eat or play with.
Symbols of Halloween
Halloween originated as a celebration connected with evil spirits. Witches flying on broomsticks with black cats, ghosts, goblins and skeletons have all evolved as symbols of Halloween. They are popular trick-or-treat costumes and decorations for greeting cards and windows. Black is one of the traditional Halloween colors, probably because Halloween festivals and traditions took place at night. In the weeks before October 31, Americans decorate windows of houses and schools with silhouettes of witches and black cats.
Halloween Pumpkins
Pumpkins are also a symbol of Halloween. The pumpkin is an orange-colored squash, and orange has become the other traditional Halloween color. Carving pumpkins into jack-o'-lanterns is a Halloween custom also dating back to Ireland. A legend grew up about a man named Jack who was so stingy that he was not allowed into heaven when he died, because he was a miser. He couldn't enter hell either because he had played jokes on the devil. As a result, Jack had to walk the earth with his lantern until Judgment Day. The Irish people carved scary faces out of turnips, beets or potatoes representing Jack of the Lantern, or jack-o'-lantern. When the Irish brought their customs to the United States, they carved faces on pumpkins because in the autumn they were more plentiful than turnips. Today jack-o'-lanterns in the windows of a house on Halloween night let costumed children know that there are goodies waiting if they knock and say Trick or Treat!

Underwood Family Farms in Moorpark, California | Tractor Rides & Vegetable Picking
We took a trip to Underwood Family Farms in Moorpark, California which is just inland from Malibu.
During the fall, there's a pumpkin patch to explore and buy your own pumpkin.
We then took a tractor trailer ride out to the crop fields.
Our kids had fun running up and down the rows of crops, where you can harvest your own fruits and vegetables to buy and take home.
Underwood Family Farms is a fun place for adults and kids to experience a small piece of that farm life.
The Pumpkin Chucker at the Santa Paula Rotary Pumpkin Patch 2016
The Pumpkin Chucker at the Santa Paula Rotary Pumpkin Patch is a French style Trebuchet (a type of catapult) that allows visitors to launch their chosen pumpkin towards a target. The cost is $5 for one pumpkin; $10 for three. Lots of fun!
This pumpkin patch is back at Limoneira Ranch in 2016 after a two year hiatus from its previous home at Faulkner Farm. $5 admission for the patch, hay ride, kids activities (hay maze, hay pyramid, etc.) and an additional $5 for the corn maize.
