1. Merzouga (Great base for exploring Sahara Desert)
2. All camp spots were free & found on the app Park 4 Night
3. ATV Excursion through Quad Merzouga
FYI We took the ferry from Algeciras to Tangier Med and it cost each campervan 180 euros and took about 1.5 hours. Tangier Med is a relatively new port and is very well maintained which led to a seamless border crossing. To all those making the journey, GOOD LUCK and remember not to bring your drone!

This was the ULTIMATE dream Road trip turned incredible stay at a Sahara desert camp - an unforgettable experience.
We can't believe custard all the way to dip her toes in the famous sands!
Living in a van has been SO incredible! Just being able to take our home comforts on the road with us has been so lovely and van living in Morocco has blown us away.

FYI We took the ferry from Algeciras to Tangier Med and it cost each campervan 180 euros and took about 1.5 hours. Tangier Med is a relatively new port and is very well maintained which led to a seamless border crossing. To all those making the journey, GOOD LUCK and remember not to bring your drone!

VAN LIFE CONFESSIONS | We were super nervous to take this leap and ferry over to Africa in our self converted Sprinter Van but after spending 2 full weeks in Morocco we've gathered some wonderful first impressions. What is van life really like in Morocco? Well, it's got a ton of awesome free camping, some questionable campsites (which = questionable hot showers), heaps of friendly and entrepreneurial locals, lots of souks (markets with fresh produce) and dirt roads with lots and lots of potholes. All things considered we think Morocco may be one of the greatest places we've ever traveled. It's all about having an open mind and welcoming these new experiences ????. OVERLANDING AFRICA IN OUR SPRINTER VAN | Our road trip through Morocco continues after our amazing experience with van life in Dakhla! On our last day in the area we head out in a 4X4 and explore the secret spot & white dune. We then quickly drive our van to Marrakesh where Lee flies in from Canada to meet us. Though we've been in Morocco for over a month now we still manage to get scammed in the night market of Marrakesh and of course we catch it all on film!!

The reality of van life is not what you see on Instagram. Yes, we've had some incredible highs while living in a van but we've also been met with some very uncomfortable lows. This week we share what happens in between... just a very normal few days of full-time van life.
Meanwhile, we are pursuing the new adventure we've been dreaming and saving for since we first met 8 years ago. We've always envisioned moving into the woods by the lake and building our dream tiny cabin as a home base for us to come back to in between our international travels. We cannot wait to have a place to call our own!! We are SO close to moving into a cabin in the woods but still have a few hoops to jump through to make this dream a reality!

With only 60 sq ft our tiny house on wheels has always amazed us with just how many people we can fit in there! And while our sprinter van has always seemed like plenty of room for the two of us, last week we tested it's capacity with a third human!!! We will all travelled across the country of Morocco (living, traveling, sleeping, cooking & POOPING ???? in 1 van). But things got a little more intense when Morocco went into a state of emergency and closed their borders. We were all STUCK in AFRICA for the foreseeable future and on lock down. The week begins as the news of the severity of pandemic hits us and we need to start thinking critically about our next moves. Things escalate rather quickly…

OVERLANDING AFRICA IN OUR SPRINTER VAN has been the adventure we’ve always hoped it would be but it’s hard to predict what happens next. In fact, we are still processing everything that has happened over the last week and continues to happen... No one knows where we will end up, where our beloved tiny home on wheels will make it or for how long this pandemic will take over life as we know but all we can do is try to remain positive and move forward in the direction that feels right for us. We hope you are all keeping safe during this time ❤️.

After an incredible 3 years of living, working and travelling in our self converted Sprinter Van we’ve had to make the very tough decision to abandon our tiny home in Africa to take a rescue flight back to Canada. As it has for so, so many of us, this global pandemic has absolutely flipped our world upside down. What went from a virus that seemed far away in China, quickly made it’s way across the globe forcing us to quarantine in our 60 sq-ft in Morocco. And while quarantining was going well for us it became apparent that things would be different for a long while. When our Prime Minister announced that he was sending repatriation flights over to Africa to pick up Canadians who were stuck (due to border closures) we consulted with friends and family closest to us and realized that in this time of crisis we should be back in our home country. The gravity of what we’ve just done hasn’t quite sunk in and we ((especially me (Bec)) are having a really hard time adjusting to our new reality. Having said that we think the most important thing we can all do now is STAY HOME, keep healthy with healing foods & try to look at this as a time that we (and the planet) desperately needed to reset and realign. Sending each of you so much love throughout this time x

OVERLANDING AFRICA IN OUR SPRINTER VAN has been the adventure we’ve always hoped it would be but it’s hard to predict what happens next. In fact, we are still processing everything that has happened over the last week and continues to happen... No one knows where we will end up, where our beloved tiny home on wheels will make it or for how long this pandemic will take over life as we know but all we can do is try to remain positive and move forward in the direction that feels right for us. SPAIN'S CRAZIEST LAW (van life Spain)
Last minute change of plans lads... we made it into SPAIN! ????
While van life is treating us well.. and we seem to be creeping closer to that Moroccan border, information is changing daily on opening times! And who knows when we'll arrive!
We've decided not to stress about it, just take our time and enjoy the cities we've been passing through. Up next - Zaragoza! We also find a beautiful hot spring to have a little wash and a cheeky naked bathe - who knew being naked was a LEGAL law in Spain! haha LOVE it!

???????? ???? Woohoo where we've decided we don't want another cold winter in the UK. Our mates @eamonandbec mentioned they'd be heading back to Morocco to pick up their van trinity and we couldn't think of a lovelier place to spend Christmas ????

After visiting the north of Morocco and having some troubles with the van ( - you can check the first eposide here ) we have decided to go to the Sahara Desert with our van. It was the first time we have left our van and went for different accommodation.

When the pandemic hit in 2020 we made the difficult decision to abandon our van in Africa and fly home to Canada. Six weeks ago we flew back to Morocco to rescue our van and today we are leaving it behind once again!

We begin this week's van life vlog right where we left you last time: on Achill Island! Eamon stopped us here to try his hand at kiteboarding again and boy oh boy do we have an adventure (think 2 hour trek through a marsh ????). One of the reasons we live in a van is to be able to stay somewhere for as long or as little as we'd like so this week we spend extra time parked on Achill Island -- kiteboarding, enjoying our neighbour's company and just SLOWING down! But, it didn't take long for us to get itchy feet so we continue north towards Slieve League Cliffs and the Giant's Causeway!

WEEK OF VAN LIFE IN IRELAND
After successfully shipping our van to England from Canada & enjoying our last week in Wales we decided to ferry over to Dublin, Ireland! In last week's van life vlog we explore the city of Dublin (Trinity College, Temple Bar, etc), enjoy the city of Cork and fall in love with the seaside town of Greystones to meet the Happy Pear. We then check out the Cliffs of Moher and the city of Galway! On our way north along the Wild Atlantic Way we stopped at a wonderful island which is where today's van life vlog picks up!

FYI We took the ferry from Algeciras to Tangier Med and it cost each campervan 180 euros and took about 1.5 hours. Tangier Med is a relatively new port and is very well maintained which led to a seamless border crossing. To all those making the journey, GOOD LUCK and remember not to bring your drone!

This week is all about NATURE as we head for Spain's Balearic island to escape the business of Barcelona. While we never miss a chance to live in a van in a new city, it doesn't take long before we too escape to nature! So, we ferry over to Menorca on an overnight trip and end up on the beautiful, peaceful island by breakfast! After a pretty shaky start to the whole trip, we landed in Tangier by foot and van and headed straight for the wild - Marrakesh! مراكش Oh, what a city to explore! Medinas, palaces, mosques riads, incredible street food and hustlers.. it's truly great to be back in a city that feels SO alive!

After successfully shipping our van to England from Canada & enjoying our last week in Wales we decided to ferry over to Dublin, Ireland! In this week long van life vlog we explore the city of Dublin (Trinity College, Temple Bar, etc), enjoy the city of Cork and fall in love with the seaside town of Greystones. In Greystones we have the pleasure of meeting our new friends Dave & Steve of the Happy Pear! These two are leaders in the plant based movement in Ireland and across the world and it was a real pleasure getting to live a day in the life of the Happy Pear :). We then cut across the country to check out the Cliffs of Moher and choose the WORST camping spots since living in a van — we almost flooded our tiny house! Have no fear… we manage to call a tow truck in the knick of time. However, our bad luck with Mother Nature continues as we hit the Wild Atlantic Way just in time to be rained on for 3 days straight. Still learning to embrace this crazy weather ;)
