Welcome to our new home! After a long eight months, we are super excited to finally be able to share how our new van has turned out!
After spending over 3 years in our last van and having built a few other vans since our first, we wanted to try something new and implement a few changes and upgrades that we’ve been dreaming up. With this new van we were able to put a lot of thought into the details to make the perfect space to fit our needs. We were also able to incorporate some things we’ve never really tried before. It’s always a learning process which keeps things exciting.

We've installed two sky lights, three huge solar panels for our 12V battery system, a LiFePo4 battery, a fridge, a hidden gas stove, a camping toilet and a 150l fresh water tank for showering and for example dish washing. Also, there's a roof top terrace, an extendable bed and an extendable table and tons of storage! Well, and a parking heater and even a boiler for hot water... :D

The Ultimate Van Build Journey:
In Season 1 of the van build, we stripped off the old DPD stickers, rust-proofed the entire van, painted it our favorite matte grey color, redesigned the cab, planned our van's design / layout, created our epic water tanks, built our custom panorama roof windows, installed new wheels, & installed an insulated floor! PHEW! Building a home is something else!
Then Season 2 of the van build rolled around, and with our workshop's renovation behind us, it got TECHNICAL! We built a 47 degree solar tilt (1kW of solar power!), made custom seat bases & installed our custom seats, we took security to the NEXT level, breaking down our 12 incredible layers of security, wired everything our tech-dependent home will need, created the BEST insulation we've ever seen in a campervan (check out our video on campervan insulation & cold camping insulation), installed our own custom security cameras, framed the ceiling, AND created our peak-a-boo curtains. WOW!! We are beyond ready to be off grid in this Ducato van home! ❤️

We’re Ladi (from Czechia) & Margaret (from USA) and we love eBikes, campervans, & cats. In 2020 our van life lifestyle flipped upside down, & we needed to stop traveling in our camper to lockdown in eastern Czech Republic due to the pandemic. With no travel plans and some new time on our hands, we decided to sell our old van, start an electric bike business, begin a youtube channel, build our ultimate dream campervan, renovate a junkyard into a tiny house homestead, plan a container & upper workshop space… well, some other smaller projects in-between ????.

The idea for Bahri:
Bahri should combine everything that makes a camper perfect. Everything. Without having to cut back anywhere else. For us, that meant pushing the boundaries of what was possible and taking our attention to detail to new dimensions. This includes a lifting bed system to achieve a bed length of 1.95m and to increase the garage / trunk. At the same time, our sophisticated design offers a full bathroom, a spacious kitchen, and a comfortable sleeping/dining area. Total independence, even for remote working, is made possible by a smart electrical system with insane 410 watts of solar and 200 Ah lithium batteries, wi-fi, an incredible 111 L of fresh water, 75 L of wastewater, a water filter, and a diesel heater.
Of course, every millimeter of space in Bahri is optimally used. We have specially adapted our interior to the chassis and designed it with great attention to detail. We selected and installed high-quality materials and products with the same care. For example, Bahri's extremely efficient refrigerator has an external compressor that has been stowed behind the seat benches, gaining additional valuable space in the fridge and making it inaudible due to the physical separation.
Bahri is also a true lightweight thanks to our choice of materials. Thus, special E-wood/Pa/E-wood plywood and aluminum were used almost exclusively. Our worktop and table, however, are made of high-quality oak.
All the details that make Bahri unique and perfect would fill a whole book. The best way to see for yourself is to take a tour with us. We can promise you this much: you have never seen a van like this before and you won't find one anywhere.

We missed the flexibility of being able to travel and boondock across the country on a whim, so we decided to convert another sprinter van. With the experience from our first build, more cash to fund the build (our first build was a budget build at $5,000 and this time we spent $11,000 with key upgrades being in the electrical department), and more time on our hands, we dreamed up van build 2.0. The result of van build 2.0 is Yeti, a 2020 170 WB Sprinter Crew Van conversion that accommodates our growing family of five!
