This video includes 1 hour of Arrivals and Departures of St Maarten Princess Juliana Airport filmed from the well known Maho Beach during a recent trip abroad
Filmed freehand using a 4K Sony AX53 video camera
I spent 5 nights here including the trip across to St Barts for the day
Most of the video I’m standing across the road from the runway but towards the end after seeing many people standing on the fence I decided to do the same, airport security did not bother me for doing so.
You will see many A320s, B757s and A330s during this video coming from North America and on International routes across the Atlantic as well as a lot of island hoppers, cargo and private jets.
This is also a part 1 video as I filmed from a second spot where the aircraft touchdown which will be coming soon!

A 340 Landing Dangerously Low at Maho Beach, St. Maarten
The first clip is taken on Maho Beach right under the flight path. The second one is taken from Sunset Bar & Grill, where a surf board marks each day's flight times. Planespotting is one of the most iconic things to do when visiting St. Maarten.

St. Maarten is located in the Caribbean. St. Maarten features an extremely low approach into runway 10, which passes over Maho Beach. The runway length is 7,546 ft. Aircraft as big as the Boeing B747 also known as the “Queen of the sky” have flown into St. Maarten. Due to the proximity of Maho Beach to runway 10, it has become one of the most popular plane spotting locations.

This is the only footage i caught of this bird while in SXM during my short time on the island, sadly i did not get the departure due to heavy rain that day which almost brought me and my equipment which got a good bit of wet to a halt..... but i tried my best to hang in the rain :) !!!!! This bird was operating for its parent Air France which now flies an A330 on the route.
