Kasese is one of the most beautiful and gifted places to visit in Uganda, basing on the number of features that exist. These include the Kyibira Kyahumba hot springs, Kiwa herritage hot springs, River Nyamwamba, River Mubuku, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Mountain Rwenzori, Kilembe mines. All the named places have a lot that one can learn from, as a snippet; did you know, entering the hot spring water heals many diseases but mostly bones and that is why many people with born/spine issues travel to enter the hot springs.

콩고와의 국경 지역에 위치한 에드워드 호수. 호수의 70%는 콩고, 우간다는 30%를 소유하고 있다. 호수 끝자락에 위치한 어촌. 어부들이 모여 그물망을 정리하느라 분주하다. “이곳 어부들은 오후 4시에 호수로 나가 다음 날 오전 7시까지 고기잡이를 합니다” “얼마정도 멀리 나가나요? (PD질문)” “약 두 시간 정도 나갑니다” 호수는 주민들의 삶터다. 하지만 가뭄 때문에 어획량이 줄어 걱정이 많다. 그래도 호수는 주민들의 희망을 저버리진 않는가 보다. 소년이 직접 잡은 생선을 보여주며 자랑한다. 크기가 어마어마하다. 잡은 생선은 그 자리에서 비늘을 벗겨 말린 후 판매한다. 카세니이는 마을 주민이 천명도 안되는 전형적인 어촌이다. 마을에서는 점심준비가 한창이다. 생선조림은 우리의 김치처럼 늘 밥상에 오른다. 우리나라 호떡과 비슷한 이 부침개는 바나나와 밀가루를 혼합해 만든 것으로 이름은 ‘짜파티’다. 나는 도미와 비슷한 텔레피아 3마리를 우리 돈 5천원에 사서 인근 식당에 튀겨 달라고 부탁했다. 맛있는 소리가 귀를 자극한다. “일단 튀김 생선 맛을 한번 보시면 더 달라고 계속 저를 괴롭힐 것입니다” 회나 구이로만 먹던 생선을 통째로 튀긴 맛은 과연 어떨까. 상상이 되지 않았다. 맛있는 건 나눠먹으면 더 맛있는 법. 생선 맛은 기가 막혔다. 더 먹고 싶은 마음이 굴뚝같았지만 오래돼 보이는 튀김 기름이 식욕을 눌렀다. 어부에게는 그물이 무기다. 전쟁터에 나가기 전 총을 손보는 병사처럼 이들은 매일 그물을 관리한다. 욕심을 허락하지 않는 자연. 자연에 순응해 살아가는 사람들. 이들은 만선을 기대하지도 않는다. 다만 호수가 내어주는 대로 받아들일 뿐이다.

If you share delicious things, it is more delicious. The taste of the fish was terrible. It was like a chimney to eat more, but the frying oil seemed to look old for a long time. For fishermen, the net is a weapon. Like soldiers who take guns before they go to war, they manage the net daily. Nature that does not allow greed. People who adapt to nature. They do not expect to be lonesome. It only accepts what the lake gives.

I had the time of my life in Kampala, Uganda
Hey beautiful people, I'm so sorry as I've been too busy to upload any of the video's I shot during my visit to East Africa. My assistant Google, managed to compile a short introduction of my trip to Uganda. Uganda was the best experience of my life. I loved every minute of being there. Time was too short, as I didn't want to leave. It has both the rough and defined side, which I Love as it made it authentic African. I was even scolded in a battle between Uber and the local cabs who wanted to charge me 30x more than Uber, so the driver got angry when my Uber driver arrived. However, the best transportation experience was the Boda Boda, as you can see in this clip. It was like riding on a scooter with your boyfriend...

Hi friends,
After 2 weeks in Kenya, we decided to check Uganda out for two nights. As a Botswana Youtuber, a Motswana as we call ourselves, it just made sense to see as much of East Africa as possible when up there. We partied in Kampala, visited the Baha'i Place of Worship and went to Jinja to get to experience the Nile River. Of course, we made use of the 'Boda Boda' and explored all the markets we could within these two days.
I hope you find this entertaining and it inspires you enough to go explore East Africa!
