Location and How to get there
The US Virgin Islands located 40 miles east of Puerto Rico and lie between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. They consist of 4 larger Islands St Thomas, St Croix, St John, and water island. There are about 50 other smaller islands. The capital city is Charlotte Amalie which is located on the most visited island St. Thomas. Around 1.2 million people visit this island annually. St. Thomas is the most popular port of call for cruise lines with two docks for them. Also There are a number of airlines that offer direct flights from the US mainland to St Thomas and St Croix.
St John does not have an airport, however, you can easily get there from St. Thomas by short ( around 20-25 minutes) ferry ride. Also if you rent a car on St Thomas you can take a car to St. John by riding a car ferry.
There is a Seaborne seaplane that gives travelers a fast and convenient way to connect between St. Croix and St. Thomas. The flights are only 25 minutes between these 2 islands.

When to visit.
The best time to visit the U.S. Virgin Islands is April to June when you can expect mild weather and very little rainfall. The hurricane season officially lasts from June to November. The Virgin Islands lie in the main pathway of many hurricanes originating in the Atlantic ocean, so they often get hit. The peak season in the Virgin Islands runs from December to April when hotel rates are the highest.
The temperatures vary between 70 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit (21 and 32 °C), with an average of 78 °F (26 °C).
What to see
In addition to white sandy beaches and snorkeling, US Virgin Islands have a ton of other things to do.
There are many things you can do while visiting St. Thomas. You can walk and explore Charlotte Amaliya, take a historical walk at 99 steps and visit Blackbeard's castle. If you are visiting the island by cruise ship, right across from the Havensight cruise ship dock located Skyride to Paradise Point. You can take a short tram ride from the base station to 700 feet above sea level to see the spectacular views at Paradise Point. There are restaurants and shops at the top where you can relax, eat, shop, drink enjoy one of the best views in the Caribbean..
if you are traveling with kids, you should visit Coral World Ocean Park, a marine park and tourist attraction located next to Coki Beach on the East End of St. Thomas. The Park features Underwater Observatory Tower, which descends 20 feet in the ocean to allow underwater viewing. There are activities like touch pools, aquariums, watching animal feeding, and Sea Trek Helmet Dive which offers you to walk and breath underwater exploring marine life.
Park animals include sea turtles, stingrays, juvenile sharks, sea stars, conch, sea cucumbers, iguanas, sea lions and others. Many of the animals, such as the turtles, are rescued from the wild and released when possible.
The park focuses on visitor education and interaction with the animals, through touch encounters, feedings, swims, snuba, and Sea Trek.

US Virgin Islands are well known for their beaches and for a good reason. The beaches are incredible. There are a number of beaches that offer good snorkeling. You can easily spot sea turtles or stingrays by just snorkeling off the beach. According to National Geographic Magen’s Bay which is located on the northside of St. Thomas is one of the top 10 world’s best beaches in the world. This almost a mile-long beach offers amenities such as restrooms, showers, beach rentals such as chairs, kayaks, etc.
St. John is famous for its National Park and beautiful beaches. Virgin Islands National Park covers roughly 60% of the Island. Hills, valleys, and beaches are breathtaking.
If you are visiting St. Croix one of the must-do attractions is touring the rum distilleries. There are 2 world-class distilleries on the island Cruzan and Captain Morgan. For a small fee, you can take a guided tour of a rum distillery and learn the history of rum and how it’s produced, and best of all you get to enjoy tropical rum cocktails.

Conclusion
US Virgin Islands is a place that every US traveler should check out. It’s easy to access from the US, does not require a passport, and offers some of the best beaches you’ll find in the Caribbean.

ST. THOMAS US VIRGIN ISLANDS TRAVEL GUIDE 2021 | Traveling During Covid-19

Hi everyone, welcome back to my channel! In today’s episode I will share my top 10 things you need to know before you travel to the US Virgin Islands. So you are planning a trip to the beautiful Caribbean Island of St. Thomas? And you’re feeling overwhelmed with all the covid guidelines, figuring out where to stay and more importantly, what beach to go to? Then I have some good news, this video will help you figure all that out! After visiting the US Virgin Islands for the last 4 years I wanted to put all my knowledge into a designated safe travel guide for you guys! Jon and I have also traveled to St. Thomas 2 times during Covid-19, so I will give you info about that throughout the video too. To be clear, the US. Virgin Islands is open to travel, you just need to show a negative covid test before departure, no older than 5 days. With all that said, open up your notebook, and let’s jump into today’s video!

Exploring the U.S. Virgin Islands with Bill Panoff | St. Thomas & St John | USVI | Travel Show

In this latest episode Bill Panoff takes travelers on an adventure through the US Virgin Islands. We'll try local foods, explore 16th ruins, swim with dolphins, meet local artists and embark on a treasure hunt through St Thomas.

Our adventure kicks off in St Thomas as we walk the famous 99 steps and find ourselves pulled in to a tropical treasure hunt. From there, we cool off with a dolphin swim at one of the largest attractions in St. Thomas and then jump on a quick ferry ride to St. John.

At St. John we soak in the history at Catherineberg ruins. We head over to Wharfside village and meet one of the local jewelry artists living on the island. After a quick stop at one of the most famous beaches in St. John we grab a drink at the BEST bar in town and call it a night.

Hi everyone, welcome back to my channel! In today’s episode, I’m going to show you the top 9 beaches we’ve visited in the USVI over the last 4 years. I will divide the list in two, first show you my favorite beaches on St. Thomas, then show you my favorite beaches on St. John. Pack your beach bag, and let’s jump into todays episode!

COVID-19 RELATED: Disclaimer: We traveled to St. Thomas in December/January 2021 during the Covid-19 pandemic. This meant that we all needed a negative covid test before entering the island. But the rules change all the time, so please do your own research before traveling.

ONE Day in St. John, US Virgin Islands Travel Vlog | where to hike, snorkel, and eat (with NO car)

During our 5-day getaway in the USVI, we took a day trip to the lovely island of St. John. This island is only a 20-min ferry ride away from Red Hook in St. Thomas and was super easy to get to! We started out the day with an easy hike at Lind Point Trail, which rewarded us with an amazing view of the harbor and ocean. Then, we had lunch at a local BBQ chicken joint that seriously hit the spot. We spent the rest of the day snorkeling at pristine beaches and seeing so much wildlife beneath the water.

☀️ Weather: Very warm. Be prepared for the occasional light rain throughout the day.

????Transportation: We did NOT rent a car and it was the best decision ever. It wasn't cheap to rent a car and the roads are not the easiest to drive through. It is an island after all! You have to drive on the left side and through narrow, winding roads. We took taxis around the island which cost around $6-10 per person ($10 was the max for around a 20-min ride). You can find them at most popular spots like major beaches or downtown. We never had a hard time.
