Climbing the Great Pyramid of Giza #egypt #travelvlog #ancientegypt #cairo #pyramids

In this travel vlog, we travel to Egypt to explore the seven wonders of the ancient world, The Great Pyramid of Giza, Al Giza Desert.

The Great Pyramid is located in Giza, Egypt and it was built over 4,500 years ago by the ancient Egyptians. It's the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and it's also the only one that still exists today.

The Great Pyramid is made up of over two million blocks of stone and it stands 147 feet tall. That's about the same height as a modern day skyscraper! It's also the largest pyramid in the world and it's the most accurately aligned structure in the world.

But the Great Pyramid wasn't just built to be tall and impressive. It was also built to be a tomb for the Pharaoh Khufu. The Pharaohs were the rulers of ancient Egypt and they believed in the afterlife. They thought that if they were buried in a special place like the Great Pyramid, they would be able to take all of their belongings with them into the next life.

The Great Pyramid is made up of three main chambers: the King's Chamber, the Queen's Chamber, and the Grand Gallery. The King's Chamber is where the Pharaoh's body was placed. It's also where you can find the Pharaoh's sarcophagus, which is a special coffin that was made to hold the Pharaoh's body.

The Queen's Chamber was probably used for storage, but no one is really sure. Some people think it might have been used for the Pharaoh's wife or mother, but no one knows for sure.

The Grand Gallery is a long, narrow room with a high ceiling. It leads to the King's Chamber and it's believed to have been used for ceremonies and rituals.

But how did the ancient Egyptians build such a massive and impressive structure? That's a mystery that scientists and historians are still trying to solve. Some people believe that the ancient Egyptians used a system of pulleys and levers to lift the heavy blocks of stone into place. Others think that they used ramps made of mud and brick to roll the blocks up to the top of the pyramid.

No one knows for sure how the Great Pyramid was built, but what we do know is that it's an incredible feat of engineering and a testament to the ingenuity and determination of the ancient Egyptians.

So if you ever get the chance to visit Egypt, be sure to check out the Great Pyramid of Giza. It's a truly amazing and mysterious structure that's sure to spark your curiosity and imagination. #greatpyramidofgiza

Tutankhamun's Mummy and Some Treasures the Pharaonic Village

King Tut, Cairo, Egypt - The Pharaonic village that is found in Giza, Cairo, is known for the sailing tour that shows the visitors how the old Pharaohs used to live and do their crafts, but one of the famous things that are usually seen inside is Tutankhamun's tomb with its treasures (

Tutankhamun's tomb is a sight that you should never miss when it comes to the Pharaonic village. This tomb will tell the visitors more about King Tut through the treasures, the mummy itself, the shrines, and the different pictures that show much more details about his belongings and burial.

The founder of the Pharaonic village, Dr. Hassan Ragab, wanted to place this tomb inside the village in order to bring the same excitement and thrill to the visitors when they are viewing it for the first time in the same way Carter and Lord Carnarvon felt when they found it after six years of searching.

King Tut is one of the most famous known names related to the Pharaonic time that a lot of people immediately recognize whenever this era is mentioned. Having a real place that brings the story of Tutankhamun to the world is considered one of the most beautiful things in the world and a must visit when you travel to Egypt.

Tutankhamun's tomb does not carry the real mummy and treasures and that is what visitors should note in order not to come for the wrong thing, the real Tutankhamun's mask is found in the Egyptian Museum and which might be transported to the new grand National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (

Dr. Ragab's, the founder of the Pharaonic village and the mind behind creating this tomb, sat with different archaeologists, engineers, architects, and Egyptian craftsmen in order to reproduce the old tomb in exactly the same way and also bring out the same artifacts and items that look exactly the same like the real ones. Some of these artifacts were entirely made by hand and some even took up to a year in order to be reproduced in a way that looks like the real ones.

There might be some differences found between the original tomb and the one reproduced and found in the Pharaonic village, but they are not a lot of differences and might not be easily spotted by those who are not experts in the field.

The Pharaonic village entrance fees differ according to the age as well as the package; it differs from kids to children to adults and will also differ according to the things every single person wants to check inside. It is believed that the entrance fee now is 50 Egyptian pounds but it is better to check the offers they have while you are buying the ticket.

Of course we all know that the real tomb of King Tut is found in Luxor and that was one of the reasons why Dr. Ragab wanted to create a similar one here, to give those who didn't include Luxor in their plan to visit Egypt the chance to see what such an important tomb holds.

Tutankhamun is the famous king of the Pharaohs in the 18th dynasty. The meaning of the name Tutankhamun is the living image of Amun. Since the discovery of his tomb and mummy, Tutankhamun has been referred to as King Tut of the Pharaohs. One of the most important things related to King Tut is the mask which is now placed in the Egyptian Museum ( King Tut is also known to be the son of King Akhenaton according to some DNA tests that were done later.

There is a huge history behind the Pharaohs and Tutankhamun, or King Tut, that one should know more about from reading as well as visiting the different historical places that hold the mummy, the tomb, or any of the artifacts and belongings.

There are different historical places to visit in Egypt and different museums that one could visit in order to know more about the huge history behind this country. From the places that we suggest you to visit, there is the Great Pyramids of Giza which you already have on your list ( the Egyptian Museum, the new grand National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, the Pharaonic Village ( Cairo Citadel ( and you could go to El Moez Street area ( which is also close to Khan El Khalili market (

There are also some parks to visit in Cairo, Egypt, for a change, such as Al Azhar park ( as well as El Andalus Park (

King Tut is the famous flag of the Pharaohs, but do you know much about him? You should visit this place to receive all the needed information. If you want to see the real tomb found in Luxor, you should make a plan along with Aswan because it is far away and needs to book a flight or else travel on a train - but this is considered so tiring that we will never recommend.

Egypt marks 100 years since the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb

Egypt on Friday (November 4) marked 100 years since the discovery of the Tomb of Tutankhamun in the Valley of Kings.

On November 4, 1922, British Egyptologist Howard Carter and his team stumbled upon the first of 12 steps that led to a closed doorway with seals bearing the name of “Tutankhamun”. That momentous day was the start of what became a ten-year project to excavate and conserve more than 5,000 unique artefacts.

People gathered on Friday in Valley of the Kings to celebrate the centenary of the discovery by visiting the tomb of the boy king and touring Carter's house that has recently been restored and reopened to the public to mark the anniversary.

The restoration was funded by the United States Agency for International Development and the Adina Lei Savin Family Trust, in partnership with the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.

The U.S. Ambassador to Egypt said America's investment in cultural preservation and conservation in Egypt was an important part of the strategic partnership between the two countries.

Adina Savin, from the Adina Lei Savin Family Trust, said she was fascinated with the story and happy she could donate money to the project.

The history of Carter House goes back to 1911, when the Egyptologist constructed it to live in during his time excavating in the Valley of the Kings. He stayed there until his death in 1939, when the house was transferred to the Egyptian Service des Antiquités and subsequently used as a rest house by the local inspectorate.

The home contained a single domed central hall, his study, and a photographic laboratory which have been kept there over the following 100 years.

Tutankhamun’s reign lasted barely nine years in the vast span of ancient Egyptian history, and although his successors tried to erase the king’s record from history, this valuable discovery has given the boy king an immortality his mourners never thought of, experts say.
