Turkey's Turquoise Coast in 4k Hyperlapse
If you've had the pleasure of visiting Turkey in summer, then you're likely aware of the awesomeness of the Turquoise Coast: the stunning beach and lagoon at Ölüdeniz, the small-town time capsule that is Kaş, Kaputaş Beach and its perfect little slice of sand.
But we guarantee you've never seen the Turquoise Coast like this.
Matador filmmaker Piotr Wancerz made a whirlwind visit to the country and, after a quick stop in Istanbul, jetted over to the Turquoise Coast to capture some hyperlapse footage of this incredible region. Follow along as he travels from the international metropolis of Turkey's largest city, down to the Mediterranean at Ölüdeniz and its eminently paraglidable mountains, over to Antalya and its historic Aspendos theatre, and so many incredible spots in between.

Istanbul Timelapse - A Week in Turkey
Istanbul might be the most beautiful city on the planet. It has somehow managed to condense everything that is awesome about the two continents it straddles -- Europe and Asia -- into a single magnificent metropolis. We got to hang out in Istanbul for a week and visit some of its most spectacular sights: the legendary Hagia Sophia, the waterside Ortaköy Mosque, the mind-bendingly intricate mosaics of the Blue Mosque, and the labyrinthine Grand Bazaar, not to mention it's beautiful parks, neighborhoods, bridges, and waterfronts.
You could spend entire centuries in Istanbul and still not see all there is to see, but we decided to try and sum the week we spent there up in just over two minutes with this timelapse. Sure, we didn't capture everything. But that just means we get to go back and try again.

Watchtower of Turkey
Over than 3500 km traveled in 20 days, capturing landscapes from the bluish tones of Pamukkale to the warm ones of Cappadocia, the all passing by a great variation of colors, lights and weathers through six other cities.
I've crossed Cappadocia, Pamukkale, Ephesus, Istanbul, Konya; and tasted baklava, kunefe, doner, the turkish tea; and got the chance to meet the soul of Turkey, its people.. and got their smiles and their hospitality.
This is Turkey lived by me from north to south, and I hope you enjoy it :)

Turkey's Turquoise Coast From the Air
The Mediterranean section of Turkey's Turquoise Coast stretches from Marmaris eastward to Antalya and beyond, a relatively short distance -- that you could feasibly spend a whole summer exploring.
The immediate highlights are the beaches, the arcs of powdery sand and gentle pebbles meeting the namesake turquoise waters at İztuzu, Ölüdeniz, and Kaş. These are punctuated by dramatic mountain peaks and valleys. And dotted within this incredible terrain are some truly old, and truly impressive, ruins: Tlos, Myra, Kekova.
When the Matador crew visited last month, they experienced all this and more while enjoying the hospitality and adventure opportunities that await tourists in this part of Turkey. Follow along as they trace the Mediterranean and bring back a unique perspective: Turkey's Turquoise Coast, from the air.

A Turkish Summer Dream
There's something about watching fishing boats return to their harbor sunset, while bobbing up and down in turquoise water, that makes you feel the urge to pinch yourself. You've got to remind yourself this isn't a dream. You're here. In Turkey. And it's incredible.
That's the sensation that overtook me so many times while traversing Turkey's Turquoise coast, the sensation that I was living in a dream. From the cobblestone back streets of Alaçatı, to eating freshly caught octopus in Kaş—Turkey does not disappoint. You have to see this coastline to believe it. It's a place where ancient gods once walked, and one where it feels like they may still walk today.

Antalya is a Turkish resort city with a yacht-filled Old Harbor and beaches flanked by large hotels. It's a gateway to Turkey's southern Mediterranean region, known as the Turquoise Coast for its blue waters. Remnants remain from Antalya's time as a major Roman port. These include Hadrian’s Gate, built to honor the Roman emperor’s visit in 130 A.D and 2nd-century Hidirlik Tower, with harbor views.
