Tripoli, Lebanon - Is it safe?
Join me as I explore Tripoli, Lebanon! Everyone here loves Mohamed Salah. ????
I traveled alone in Lebanon, but I met friendly locals everywhere! I always travel in a Liverpool shirt, and people constantly stop me in Lebanon to chat about football and Liverpool FC. In Arabic-speaking countries, locals always want to talk about Mo Salah, their favorite player.
Tripoli is considered a high-risk area to visit in the Middle East. However, I felt completely safe while exploring alone in the city. I visited several other places in Lebanon and felt safe everywhere.
This video was recorded just before the pandemic started. I am currently editing and sharing footage from my previous travels. However, starting next month, I will begin to travel again, capture videos, and create current videos of traveling and meeting Liverpool supporters everywhere!
I can't wait to return to Lebanon in October this year!

Tripoli, Libya | Libya Travel Video 2019, North Africa's Gem
This beautiful country is filled with joyful people and nostalgic vibes that made me feel at home. Libya is a North African country having the most wonderful beaches and villas for civilians to relax in after a long day. Tripoli is the capital city of Libya and is enriched with deep historical sites and true Libyan culture that represents it's people.
As you walk into the old market (السوق القديم), the tight and crowded streets may intimidate many however the busy atmosphere and loud chatter almost in a way invites you to shop in this never ending maze. Gold, silver, wedding attire, traditional clothing, crafts, pottery, kitchen tools, spices, herbs. It's all there!
Unfortunately due to the political state that Libya is currently in, not much tourism facilities are open and many breath taking nature and sites to visit are out of reach. However Libya is absolutely worth a visit and the extra money spent on tickets, some views are to die for.

Tripoli, Libya: Monuments, Beaches and Kite Surfing ????????????⛱ #tripoli #libya
The Tripoli East Beach in Libya has smooth calm waters that are crystal clear. Making a windy day a perfect day to grab your Kitesurfing gear and heading to the beach. After spending time at the beach you can explore the town, especially the street markets. Here you can find all kinds of arts and crafts. Everything from Fragrances to crafted items.
You can visit the Museum of Libya, it was King Idris' palace in Tripoli, which after Gaddafi, became known as the People's Palace.
There are also loads of roman ruins to explore, including the famous Marcus Aurelius Arch. You can even visit the Tripoli Tower.
See Fishing berths and monuments throughout Tripoli Libya.
Other places to see are the Martyrs' Square, the House of Yusuf Karamanli and the Tripoli Castle.

I arrive by ship in Tripoli in Lebanon, and it takes me several hours to retrieve my passport with a stamp on it. After waiting more than 4 hours, I can finally enter the country, and I walk around the chaotic streets of Tripoli.

Is Tripoli in North Lebanon safe to visit as a tourist?
Is Tripoli safe enough to visit as a tourist? In my opinion, YES. Still you might want to check with locals before visiting. Not to be confused with Tripoli - the capital of Libya, Tripoli or Trablous (the arabic name of the city) is Lebanon's second largest city after Beirut and the capital of the North Governorate. The city overlooks the eastern Mediterranean Sea and there is a string of uninhabited islands just off the coast of Tripoli. These are particularly nice to visit in the summer time, I was told. I stayed at Lamunia Wellness and Spa, a small boutique hotel in Al Qalamun where quite a few hotels are located. It is just a 10 minutes drive from the Al Mina neighbourhood and downtown Tripoli.
The citadel of Raymond de Saint-Gilles is located on a hilltop overlooking the city. The citadel of Tripoli was built by Raymon De Saint-Gilles, governor of Tripoli, in 1103 on the emplacement of the castle of Saint-Gilles.When the Mont Pèlerin quarter was set ablaze by the Mamluks in 1289, the castle of Saint-Gilles suffered from the holocaust and stood abandoned on the hilltop for the next eighteen years.
If you are visiting Tripoli, you should definitely plan a visit to Abdul Rahman Hallab & Sons in the city center. It is a luxurious pastry shop and restaurant, established in 1881 and famous for its oriental confectionaries.
