traveling alone in ISTANBUL! (first time in TURKEY)????????

Finally made it in Turkey! One of my dream countries to go :) Traveling alone in Istanbul is easy and I never felt uncomfortable as a solo female traveler. I explored popular photo spots and tourist areas Istanbul is famous for like the Blue Mosque, Balat, Grand Bazaar, Gala Tower, took a photo at a famous carpet rooftop spot, ate good Turkish breakfast and the famous San Sebastian cheesecake everyone is talking about on TikTok! My first impressions of Turkey is definitely unexpected and I am loving this country even more day by day. I hope you guys enjoy watching this vlog as much as I loved exploring Istanbul for the first time!

How do you afford to travel? - I now earn a full time living through creating these YouTube videos, affiliate links, selling digital products and my clothing line. Is travelling solo safe? - I would argue the answer is almost always yes! As long as you use your common sense and you follow your own government's guidelines about travelling in that country. I have made several videos on backpacking safety on my channel.

Buy me a ☕ if you support my work -

Today I have a Turkey travel guide for everyone who want to travel to Turkey. You have to watch this before travelling to Turkey in 2022.

This Turkey travel vlog is all about how I travelled Turkey's most famous destinations in 9 days and I have compiled my whole Turkey travel itinerary in this small travel vlog. My Turkey trip revolved mostly around Istanbul, Turkey and you can also consider this as a Istanbul vlog or Cappadocia vlog because I mainly cover these two main tourist attractions because I only day about 10 days in Turkey, out of which I could only actually see things on 9 days.

So whether you are travelling to Turkey in 10 days or doing a Turkey in 7 days or even if you are doing a Turkey in 5 days trip, this video is for you!

Book the accommodations here:

1. Istanbul - Burckin Suleymaniye
2. Cappadocia - Local Cave House
3. Istanbul (Taksim) - Airbnb

In this Turkey travel itinerary, I am going to share all the places I went to and you can use this as an Istanbul travel guide start from Istanbul airport to Istanbul old city, walking around Taksim square Istanbul, going on a Sultanahmet walking tour to see Hagia Sophia, Blue mosque, Basilica Cistern, Arasta bazaar, Grand Bazaar and a lot more.

Moving from Istanbul, I also went to Cappadocia, and some part of this Turkey travel video is a Cappadocia vlog as well. I went on for Cappadocia hot air ballooning in Goreme, to see Love Valley, Dervent Valley, Pigeon Valley and Red Valley, then went on a Cappadocia ATV sunset tour, Green tour to see Ihlara Valley or also known as Ihlara Canyon, Cappadocia Underground city and travel across the region to see best of the country.

Coming back to Istanbul city, I explored the European side of Istanbul and went on a half day trip to Buyukada Island, the biggest of the Princes island near Istanbul. Princes island tour from Istanbul are also very popular so you can check them out as well.

Then checked out one of Istanbul's neighbourhood called Balat and I highly recommend going on a Balat Istanbul Walking tour to see the colourful houses and charming Balat Antik cafe and the Balat Umbrella street.

Also finished my 9 days in Turkey with a Bosphorus Cruise on Bosphorus Strait that divides Asia and Europe in Istanbul. Bosphorus dinner cruise or Bosphorus sunset cruise is best but I went for the cheapest Bosphorus cruise and had the best time!

Turkey 2022 travel was fun, unique and not cheap. Watch the vlog to know all about it.

First Impression of Istanbul as a Female Solo Traveler

Welcome to IPINKIT!

I’m currently traveling solo in Turkey and before I start sharing food guides and travel vlogs, I wanted to address the questions I’ve received the most with this first impression of Istanbul video.

Istanbul is nothing like I had imagined, but mainly this is the reason why I travel to explore a new place and replace the idea I had of a city or country from the media. In this video, I’m addressing it from a perspective of a female solo traveler that’s why I’ll talk about clothing, apps safety, transportation, and home rentals.

For the rental in Beşiktaş this is where I stayed:

If you’re new to IPINKIT, welcome! My name is Ingrid and I’m a vegan with food allergies. I dedicate my life to create allergy friendly vegan recipes and I love to share with others that this lifestyle can be replicated no matter where you are. So if you’re ever thinking about traveling with food allergies, I hope my channel inspires you.

Can’t wait to continue exploring Turkey and share this beautiful side of the world with you.

Love,

Ingrid

WE LOVE ISTANBUL! | Our First Impressions of Turkey

Welcome to Turkey!

In this episode, we wake up bright and early to explore the streets of Istanbul. With no plans at first, we came across the fascinating Rainbow Stairs, and the Galata Bridge, where locals fished and played guitar. The artsy and colourful town of Balat was next on our agenda, followed by sunset at the beautiful Suleymaniye Mosque.

We were in awe of the mixture of European and Islamic culture in Istanbul, and it quickly became our favourite city!

We hope you enjoy this first glimpse into our Turkish adventure, and stay tuned for more explorations next week!
