MOROCCO TRAVEL DOCUMENTARY | The Grand Moroccan Roadtrip

► ITINERARY + GPS TRACKS -
► SUPPORT - 'Buy us a refill of diesel' -

Follow us on our Grand Moroccan Roadtrip!
From sweeping sand dunes to desolate highways of emptiness, bustling cities, and snow-covered peaks, we explored Morocco from north to south and east to west. Driving more than 10,000 km in eight weeks, our roadtrip included many unforgettable adventures. Watch as we explore remote landscapes, climb high peaks, battle breath-taking dust-topias (double pun, yeah!), and navigate the hectic bustle of Morocco’s major cities.

Thank you:
A big THANK YOU goes to Saloua Dabhi who helped tremendously with pronouncing Moroccan names. Additionally, we’d like to thank Christina Neumann ( for her insights into correctly identifying many bird species. And, of course, a big thank you to La Sultana ( for welcoming us to both of their wonderful properties.

Real Talk:
Despite our attempt at keeping our Morocco Travel Documentary as authentic as possible, you are still watching a highlight reel. When editing, we naturally tend to choose the most exciting videos. What you don’t see are the hours spent driving through less spectacular landscapes or some of the unpleasant challenges we faced.

Did we like everything about Morocco?
Far from it. As mentioned in the video, the huge amount of trash definitely dampened our experience. Additionally, we were surprised by the sheer number of begging children. During our trip, we counted a minimum of 500 children asking us for money or sweets. While Morocco undoubtedly has to combat poverty, this behavior often seemed less dictated by need and more by opportunity. Stopping and giving is an individual choice, of course, but when we didn’t we were regularly flipped off, kicked after, or hurled insults at.
In general, though, we perceived most Moroccans as extremely friendly and helpful. The best example is the three local men who selflessly helped us to change our ruptured tire. We cannot thank them enough.

Full Disclosure:
This trip was entirely self-funded. However, we did enjoy a two-night complimentary stay at La Sultana Oualidia and a two-night complimentary stay at La Sultana Marrakech.

Morocco in 4K | Travel Video

Morocco's attractions offer an eye-opening taste of the exotic, with snake charmers and conjurers, souks piled high with hordes of treasures and endless glasses of mint tea. It's also an adventure into some of North Africa's most stunning scenery, with the desert on its doorstep and the craggy heights of the Atlas Mountains beyond.

Morocco is also a journey into a timeless, tranquil world of cute coastal villages, colorful-painted towns that cling to hillsides, and remote outposts defended by fairy-tale adobe forts. This fascinating country is a merging of the African and Arab worlds and is steeped in age-old customs. It's no wonder Morocco has been feted by artists and writers for decades and continues to enchant all who visit.

10 Best Places to Visit in Morocco - Travel Video

Check out all the places seen in this video:

Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman may have given the world Casablanca, but there is much more to see in Morocco than its largest city. This Atlantic coast country gives travelers the opportunity to experience life in an ancient Arabic culture, sunning on beaches or snow skiing in the mountains. Whether rambling through ancient medinas, sampling cuisine at a local souq or relaxing in the sun at a white-washed seaside town, the past is always present in this diverse and colorful country. Here’s a look at the best places to visit in Morocco:

Travel to Morocco in 4K

A magnificent weeks' journey through this breathtaking north African country, Morocco.
Our journey started in the blue city, Chefchaouen then to the bustling medina of Fez. After Fez, we spent a night in the Sahara Desert after a camel-back ride during sunset and ending our journey in the busy streets of Marrakech.

Wished we spent more time in Morocco but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay while it lasted, especially the wonderful people, riads and scenery.

Here I compiled a short video summarizing our journey. Enjoy watching, and set the video quality to 4K/2160p for your viewing pleasure.

It’s really not an exaggeration to say that my trip to Morocco really left me with a whole new perspective of the world. Culturally, it’s unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before. When I sat down to make this video, it was important to me that I not only show the visual beauty of the country, but to also share the journey we had there. From the bustling alleys of Marrakesh to the stunning sunsets in Merzouga, it is truly an incredible place. I hope this video shares at least a fraction of the feeling I had while I was there.

Here are some of the places we visited: Casablanca, Hassan Mosque, Marrakech, Ouzoud Falls, Djeema El Fna, Le Jardin Secret, Fes (Fez), Chefchaouen (the blue city), Merzouga.

While our 2 week journey through Morocco we were not only given the opportunity to discover its hidden gems but we were also able to catch a small glimpse of the daily life of Moroccan people.
Whether we were walking through the Souks of Marrakech or were exploring places like the Sahara Desert, Fez, Rabat, Casablanca, Taghazout or the city of Ait Benhaddou also known as Yunkai from Game of Thrones - we always had our cameras with us to capture the incredible stories that appeared to just happen on the street every single day.
Morocco is perfect for a Road Trip, a quick city visit or a chill surfing vacation. 10/10 would recommend!

THE DREAMS | TRAVEL MOROCCO (4K)

We took a 15 day roadtrip from Marrakech, Erg Chebbi in the Merzouga Shara Desert, Fez, Chefchaouen, Rabat, Casablanca, Essaouira and back to Marrakech. We used Sygic travel to navigate around. CASABLANCA City Guide | Morocco | Travel Guide

Casablanca ( Arabic: الدار البيضاء ) is the largest city of Morocco. Casablanca is located in the central-western part of Morocco bordering the Atlantic Ocean. Casablanca is the second largest city in the Maghreb region and the eighth-largest in the Arab world. It is Morocco's chief port and one of the largest financial centers in Africa.

International tourism in Casablanca is not as developed as it is in cities like Marrakesh. The Hassan II Mosque, which is one of the largest mosques in the world, is the city's main tourist attraction. Visitors also come to see the city's rich architectural heritage.

Popular sites for national tourism include shopping centers such as Morocco Mall, Anfa Place, the Marina Shopping Center, and the Tachfine Center. Additional sites include the Corniche and the beach of Ain Diab, and parks such as the Arab League Park or the Sindibad theme park.

You didn't expect Morocco to be like this! ???????? | Tangier, Morocco 4k

Step into the vibrant and enchanting world of Morocco with this captivating travel vlog!
Immerse yourself in the vibrant Arabic culture and discover the hidden gems of astonishing cities. Discover why Morocco is a safe and irresistible destination for passionate travelers.
Witness this stunning North African gem and get ready to discover the wonders of Morocco!

Tangier is a busy port city located on the Strait of Gibraltar in northern Morocco. It has a rich history and culture shaped by its strategic location between Africa and Europe. The city's diverse inhabitants, including Berbers, Arabs, and Europeans, have influenced the local architecture, cuisine, and arts. While the port and ferry terminal remain central to Tangier's economy, tourism has grown in recent decades. Visitors are drawn to the city's lively mix of African and European influences, evident in everything from its art galleries and cafés to its busy bazaars.

Morocco's diverse landscapes are a nature lover's paradise. The variety of ecosystems in Morocco provides habitat for an abundance of wildlife and plant species. If you come to Tangier, I recommend you to have a walk in front of the sea, you will love it!

Something that you will love about this city is the movement there is. There are many cafes with incredible views that you cannot miss. Without a doubt you have to spend an afternoon in this beautiful city and explore its beautiful streets. We took a break to drink natural fruit juices and try some sweets. And afterwards, we went to a store where they taught how to make argan oil.

The argan seeds are put in the machine and a solid material that is not used is squeezed out. Only a small amount of oil can be extracted from each nut, making argan oil rare and precious. Rich in essential fatty acids and vitamin E, argan oil is prized for its nourishing, hydrating, and antioxidant properties. It is mostly used for skin and hair care.

Morocco has become a popular tourist destination in recent years, attracting visitors with its rich cultural heritage, stunning landscapes, and warm hospitality. From delicious cuisine to vibrant festivals, Morocco has something to delight every type of traveler. Its warm hospitality, safety and proximity to Europe make it an easy and enjoyable destination to visit. With so much to see and do, Morocco continues to climb the ranks of must-visit places.

On our second day, we woke up with the typical Moroccan breakfast and started the day going to the next destination. Tourism brings many economic benefits to Morocco, so Moroccans have an incentive to make travellers feel welcome. Yet hospitality also seems deeply ingrained in the culture here. Offering assistance and showing kindness to strangers is considered honorable. As Islam is the dominant religion, values of charity and treating others well are emphasised. Here we are at a taxi stop. The curious thing is that the taxi waits to pick up more people going to the same destination, in order to make more profit. We arrived at our destination and before continuing we had an excellent meal.

The imperial cities of Fez, Meknes, Marrakech and Rabat enchant visitors with their ancient medinas, mosques, palaces and souks. Fez's well-preserved medieval old town was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Marrakesh seduces with its bustling Djemaa El Fna square and maze-like souks selling everything from carpets to spices. For nature lovers, Morocco's coastline, Atlas Mountains and Sahara Desert provide ample opportunities for outdoor adventures.

Morocco also has a fascinating history as an ancient crossroads of civilisation. The indigenous Berber, Arab, and Jewish cultures blend with centuries of French and Spanish influence to create a unique cultural tapestry.

The Moroccan city of Chefchaouen, often simply called Chaouen, is famous for its blue architecture. Nestled in the Rif Mountains, its old town is a labyrinth of narrow alleys and steep staircases. The Blue Pearl of Morocco has become an essential stop on any trip through northern Morocco.

It's funny how there is a cafeteria on the same river. It is also interesting to see the oranges floating in this mini natural pool. It is something very curious and that I had not seen anywhere else. In addition to this, you can also see women dressed in typical Chaouen costumes.

This unique color tradition dates back to the 15th century, when Jewish refugees fleeing the Spanish Inquisition whitewashed their homes blue to symbolise the sky and heaven. Today, the blue color has multiple purposes - it helps keep the harsh sun off the walls, makes mosquitoes go away and sets Chaouen apart as one of Morocco's most Instagrammable destinations.

Rabat Capital of Morocco 4k Travel Guide

Visit with us the beautiful city of Rabat Morocco

#RabatMorocco

Rabat, Morocco's capital, rests along the shores of the Bouregreg River and the Atlantic Ocean. It's known for landmarks that speak to its Islamic and French-colonial heritage, including the Kasbah of the Udayas. This Berber-era royal fort is surrounded by formal French-designed gardens and overlooks the ocean. The city's iconic Hassan Tower, a 12th-century minaret, soars above the ruins of a mosque.

Larache City Tour - Morocco | 4K Travel Film | Drone

Like the other towns on this stretch of the Atlantic, Larache is laid-back for most of the year but bursts into life in summer, when Moroccan tourists flock to nearby Ras R'mel beach. Occupied by the Spanish for most of the 17th century, the town developed a local industry building ships for the corsairs operating further south.

Meknes City Tour l Morocco Old Town and Volubilis in 4K (Ultra HD) ???? ✈️

Meknes is often overlooked on the Morocco tourist circuit, but that’s too bad, as it contains some of the best history and architecture of any Moroccan city. It’s also conveniently located between Rabat and Fez, making it an easy stop for tourists traveling to these cities. One of the other cool things about Meknes is that you won’t be bothered by hawkers near as much as Fez or Marrakech. You’ll also be able to experience more of everyday life.
