Why ST JOHN, Virgin Islands is Worth Visiting! (One Day Itinerary)
If you're visiting the U.S. Virgin Islands you should plan at least a day to visit St John in the USVI. Today, we’re taking a ferry over to St. John, the smallest of the U.S. Virgin Islands. We're sharing with you how to make the most out of a day trip to the island, including where we hiked for the amazing views, why Trunk Bay and Maho Bay are absolute must-stops, and where to eat in Cruz Bay and Coral Bay.
The only way to St John is by boat, but you can hop on a ferry from St Thomas to get there with ease.

St John in the Virgin Islands has so much to offer for a peaceful beach getaway. If you want to experience some of the best beaches in the Caribbean, with half the crowd, then don't miss Trunk Bay. If you want to swim with the most sea turtles you've ever seen in your life, then head down to Maho Bay.
There are also incredible hikes in St John through the Virgin Islands National Park that aren't very difficult and offer amazing views over the ocean.

Why we left St. Thomas after 3 years - Virgin Islands living
We decided it was time to leave the US Virgin Islands. We lived in St. Thomas for 3 years but now we are moving back to Florida. We had a great time living in the USVI but we decided that island living was not for us. In this video we will tell how we came to our decision to leave St. Thomas. We had a great time there but when we looked at the pros vs the cons, we started to notice that the cons were outnumbering the pros. So here is our thought process on why we left St. Thomas.

3 DAYS in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands Travel Vlog | why you DO NOT need to rent a car!
This was our first time in the U.S. Virgin Islands! We originally planned this trip because it was a short flight from NYC, Andrew needed to renew his passport and coming here did not require one, and there was no COVID test needed! St. Thomas is a very popular cruise port destination as well, but we wanted to see it for more than just that. It has some of the most pristine beaches I've ever been to and diverse island wildlife. Food options were a bit limited to me, but we tried to venture out and try some of the local eats (Caribbean food). We did not rent a car and you'll see in the vlog that we still had a jam-packed itinerary. Stay tuned to see how our day trip in St. John went!

???? Our Airbnb (really affordable compared to most accommodations on St. Thomas):
☀️ Weather: Very warm. Be prepared for the occasional light rain throughout the day.
????Transportation: We did NOT rent a car and it was the best decision ever. It wasn't cheap to rent a car and the roads are not the easiest to drive through. It is an island after all! You have to drive on the left side and through narrow, winding roads. We took taxis around the island which cost around $6-10 per person ($10 was the max for around a 20-min ride). You can find them at most popular spots like major beaches or downtown. We never had a hard time.

It is absolutely essential to try local food wherever you travel, and that is why today we’re going to do precisely that!
The cuisine of the US Virgin islands reflects the influences of many different cultures and food throughout the Caribbean. Still, to really experience it, you need to try local dishes at spots that may not be well-known to tourists.
Dishes like fish and fungi “foon-jee” and strew conch are both unique to the Caribbean and the Virgin Islands!

As well traveled around the island, we spoke with a few of the locals who mentioned that a big reason a lot of these local restaurants are cash only is because tourists have returned home and filed misuse of their credit cards to get money back from trips.
