Most Scenic Train Ride in India | Toy Train from Kalka to Shimla
I think we just went on the most scenic train ride here in India from the city of Kalka right up to Shimla in the snow capped Himalaya's.
The Kalka to Shimla railway was built in 1903 of a way to get the Brittish up to their summer capital. This 96km ride on the Himalayan Queen toy train takes just over 6 hours across a narrow gauge railway.
Quick facts - we went through 20 picturesque stations, 103 tunnels, 912 curves and 969 bridges :O
In Shimla there are plenty of things to do to keep you busy - the Jakhoo monkey Temple is an ancient temple overlooking the Himalaya's and the town below.
We also went to Rashtrapati Niwas, the school for advanced studies and ended our time at Mall Road before making our way to Delhi.

This is the journey from Delhi to shimla, I took train from old Delhi railway station to Kalka in Netaji Express , early morning I reached kalka railway station. From kalka to shimla only toy train is running so, You can witness amazing view on the way to shimla.
Distance between kalka to shimla is 96km and train during is 5hours (???? very fast) Because toy train maximum speed is 40kmph. And you Will never get bored of this journey, I challenge u, you will enjoy every minute of this amazing journey.

one of the most iconic eateries in Shimla, whose Lucchi Chana is hugely popular with visitors and locals alike. The plateful of thin yet spongy Lucchi or Bhatura and a distinctly flavourful chana topped with chutney was indeed delicious. No wonder it's a place that you must defiantly try in Shimla.
Summer in Shimla is from the months of March to June. ...

The Kalka–Shimla railway is a 2 ft 6 in (762 mm) narrow-gauge railway in North India which traverses a mostly-mountainous route from Kalka to Shimla. It is known for dramatic views of the hills and surrounding villages. The railway was built in 1898 to connect Shimla, the summer capital of India during the British Raj, with the rest of the Indian rail system. I went to Kashmir in year of 2005 to write the Indian Army Recruitment Return Exam (Exam Center K.V Srinagar ). There is a period of 20 days to get Exam results.
