A cidade da Praia é a capital de Cabo Verde, país-arquipélago no Oceano Atlântico, a oeste do Senegal. Está localizada a sul da ilha de Santiago. É também sede do Município do mesmo nome.
A Praia é a maior cidade de Cabo Verde. Tem um porto comercial, por onde é exportado café, cana de açúcar e frutas tropicais. Possui igualmente uma importante indústria pesqueira.

Capital of Cape Verde
Praia is the capital city of Cape Verde, which is off the coast of West Africa. The city is on the southern coast of Santiago Island. The old town center, called the “Plateau” by locals, is on a raised area overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
Around the bay, beaches include Quebra Canela and Praínha, both near the Praínha neighborhood. Shops and restaurants cluster in the Achada de Santo António quarter.

A trip to Sal Cabo Verde in February 2013, a great place to be.
Ilha do Sal, Cabo Verde 2013 (DJI Phantom, Zenmuse H3-2D Gimbal, Fatshark Attitude SD, GoPro Hero 3)
I dared to take my beloved DJI Phantom quadrocopter with me to Sal, Cape Verde and have rented a quad to explore the island.
Due to heavy winds the video tends to be shaky at some parts, as the copter tries to correct the rotation around its yaw axis. All in all, i can tell you that the Phantom easily could handle winds up to ~19 knots.
The video covers about all the things that are worth checking out on Sal, including Ponta Preta, Desert, Salt Extraction Plant, Shark bay, Windpark, Angulos Surf & Beach Club, Santa Maria Beach, Pier, Kiteboarding Club Station & Beach & the Pro's (Mitu Monteiro) styling at Ponta Preta at sunset.
