| Shinku La Pass | 2021| Road Conditions | Zanskar | EP-06 | Rider Abhi Zinda hai |
Shingo-La (also known as Shinku La) is a mountain pass in India, on the border between Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh. There is a shallow lake or pool 20m below the pass. The pass is on a long-distance footpath linking Zanskar and Lahaul, used often by locals and trekkers alike. For trekkers it is one of the technically easiest 5000m passes in Indian Himalaya, involving no glacier trekking nor steep climbs. There is snow on the pass all year round, although in the summer only a small stretch of snow has to be passed. There is an official sign proclaiming height of the pass as 16,615.500 feet. The height indicated by various trekking website varies from 4900 to 5100 meters.
This pass may be considered as an entry point to Lugnak Valley in Zanskar. The nearest inhabited village on Zanskar side is Kurgiakh and on the Lahaul side is Chikka. Both the villages generally involves two days trekking from the pass. The base camp for crossing the pass are set up at Ramjak or Chumik Nakpo from Darcha side and Lakong from Padum side.

Shinkula Pass To kurgiakh Village Ride | The Sacred Mountain Gonbo Rangjon | Zanskar valley
So guys this is my shinkula pass to kurgiakh village ride of zanskar valley of ladakh region. Zanskar also known as Janskar or Jangskar, is a subdistrict or tehsil of the Kargil district of union territory of Ladakh. The administrative centre is padum.The Zanskar Range is a mountain range in the union territory of Ladakh that separates Zanskar from Ladakh. Geologically, the Zanskar Range is part of the Tethys Himalaya,. The average height of the Zanskar Range is about 6,000 m (19,700 ft). so Guys in this vlog I am covering shinkula pass to kurgiakh village ride. Shinkula is a high mountain pass in between himachal and zanskar valley. After shinku la 10 to 15 km zanskar valley begins and kurgiakh is a first village of zanskar valley if you are coming from himachal side. kurgiakh to pipcha village point this valley is also called lugnak valley. I traveled here on my bike with one of my rider friends this route is very scenic and one sacred mountain or holy mountain Gonbo rangjon is very famous for its different landscape. This mountain is situated before kurgiakh village if you are coming from himachal Pradesh. There is one river along with this route. Shinkula pass to kurgiakh village distance is something 21 km. there is one check post where you have to registered your identity. this place is very remote area of zanskar region.

Shingo-La[1] (also known as Shinku La) is a mountain pass in India, on the border between Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh.
There is an official sign proclaiming height of the pass as 16,615.500 feet.
It is almost 475 KM away from Chandigarh
We completed our trip in 3 days as folows :-
DAY 1 - 1st night stay in JISPA (425 KM from Chandigarh) at THE TENT VILLA
DAY 2- JISPA to Shinku La Pass (50 KM) and come back at the same CAMP Area ( 50 KM ) for 2nd night Stay.
Day 3 - JISPA to Chandigarh via MANALI ( Sight Seeing)
CAMP Location :-
The TENT Villa is an average Shelter which offers 1 night stay including breakfast and dinner in 1000 rs.
