Marrakech, also spelled Marrakesh, chief city of central Morocco. The first of Morocco's four imperial cities, it lies in the centre of the fertile, irrigated Haouz Plain, south of the Tennsift River. The ancient section of the city, known as the medina, was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1985.
Marrakech gave its name to the kingdom of which it was long the capital. It was founded in the mid-11th century by Yūsuf ibn Tāshufīn of the dynasty of the Almoravids, and it served as the Almoravid capital until it fell to the Almohads in 1147. In 1269 Marrakech passed to the control of the Marīnids, whose preferred capital was the northern city of Fès. Although Marrakech flourished while serving as the capital under the Saʿdīs in the 16th century, the succeeding ʿAlawite rulers resided more often at Fès or Meknès; however, the ʿAlawites continued to use Marrakech as a military post. In 1912 Marrakech was captured by the religious leader Aḥmad al-Ḥībah, who was defeated and driven out by French forces commanded by Col. Charles M.E. Mangin. Under the French protectorate (1912–56), Marrakech was for many years administered by the Glaoui family, the last of whom, Thami al-Glaoui, was the chief instigator of the deposition of Muḥammad V in 1953.

Next, we venture into the old medina and souk of Marrakech, where we navigate the maze-like streets and immerse ourselves in the sensory overload of exotic scents, sounds, and colors. Everything I use to film:
While I am on the go, I film with my iPhone 11 Pro Max on the Dji Mobile Osmo 3. This allows me to get super smooth shots. I combine that with the either the Saramonic lavalier mic or Rhode mic and use a mount to attach it to the gimbal.

When I film at my apartment, I use my iPhone Pro Max as the main camera and my Canon 6D with the 24-105 f/4 lens for B-roll and photos. For the overhead shots, I use an overhead camera rig to mount my Canon 6D and connect a camera monitor so I can view the shot. And when my camera is set up on the ground, I use a quick release tripod. For lighting, I use the Neewer ring light and for audio, the Saramonic lavalier mic or Rhode mic (Linked Above).

This Marrakech Travel Vlog is packed with tips and things to do Marrakech! Marrakech is also called Marrakesh which is the French name of the city and I recently spent 10 days exploring this melting pot of food, culture and language.
In this trip I visit Jardin Majorelle, El Badi Palace, Bahia Palace, Atlas Film Studios, Ouarzazate, Jewish Quarter, Jemaa el-Fnaa, Koutoubia Mosque, Tizi n'Tichka mountain pass in the Atlas Mountains and finally enjoy Afternoon Tea at The Royal Mansour Hotel.

Marrakesh is a must visit destination so I decided to make a travel guide.
Looking for the top things to do in Marrakech Morocco? Here are the top places to visit in Marrakesh for your next holidays 2022!
Take a tour of Marrakech and enjoy our list of recommended attractions to see:
-Number 7: Jardin Majorelle, originally created by French artist Jacques Majorelle, the property was later on purchased by the fashion designers, Yves Saint-Laurent and Pierre Bergé. Entry fee is 5 USD. It gets quiet busy and loses its charm with the crowd.
-Number 6: Jemaa El-Fna Square, real epicentre of Marrakech, the square will subdue its visitors by its charm. Visit it during the day and at night and notice the difference. This 11th century historic area is on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
-Number 5: Maison de la Photographie, located in a nicely renovated Riad, it's a photo museum that takes you back in time. The Riad has a roof terrace where you can have food and drink and admire the stunning view of the Medina and the Atlas mountains.
-Number 4: Get lost in the medina and the souks, wander through the narrow alleys of the city's ancient walled medina, buy Moroccan handcrafted items, bargain, push the doors of hidden riads.
-Number 3: Bahia Palace, one of the masterpieces of Moroccan architecture. One of the best spots for your Instagram shots. Entry fee is 7 USD.
-Number 2: Le Jardin Secret, an oasis of tranquility in the chaotic Medina. Discover its gardens and buildings which are outstanding examples of Islamic art and architecture.
-Number 1: El Badi Palace was once the biggest and most splendid palace complex in Morroco. Today only its foundations remain but it is still magnificent, so much that Christian Dior held its fashion show in the palace to showcase his beginning of 2019 Cruise collection. The Palace also hosts the annual festival Marrakesh du rire with Jamel Debouze.
